Technical Performance
The Team Associated Shock Bushings represent solid engineering fundamentals applied to RC suspension maintenance. At 10 mm diameter, these blue aluminium bushings provide the precise dimensional tolerances required for smooth shock operation without excessive play or binding. The aluminium material selection balances weight savings with durability — critical factors in RC performance where every gram matters and suspension components endure thousands of compression cycles during competitive racing or casual bashing. The blue anodised finish not only provides visual appeal but also offers corrosion resistance, helping the bushings maintain their surface integrity when exposed to moisture from track water, wet grass, or outdoor conditions. These bushings work in conjunction with your RC vehicle's shock absorbers to maintain proper geometry and smooth suspension action. Whether you're running a 1/10 scale RC buggy, truck, or short-course racer, quality shock bushings ensure consistent handling characteristics and prevent the wandering or unstable feel that occurs when bushings wear or compress unevenly. By replacing worn shock bushings with genuine Team Associated components, you're restoring your suspension to factory-spec performance and reliability, which directly translates to faster lap times, better handling feel, and extended shock absorber lifespan.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What size shock bushings does my RC car need? — Shock bushing sizes vary between different RC vehicle models. Check your vehicle's user manual or parts diagram to confirm whether your model requires 10 mm bushings. The Team Associated AS91815 is specifically designed for vehicles that require 10 mm shock bushings, as listed in the compatibility section above.
- How often should I replace shock bushings on my RC car? — Shock bushings should be inspected regularly during routine maintenance. They typically wear gradually over hundreds of operating hours depending on how intensively you use your RC vehicle. Replace them when you notice excessive play in the shock assembly, uneven suspension action, or if the bushings appear visibly compressed or damaged. Having spare shock bushings on hand means you can service your suspension whenever needed without waiting for replacement parts.
- Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, the AS91815 shock bushings are official Team Associated components supplied under their genuine part number. Purchasing from authorised retailers like RC Model Shop ensures you receive authentic parts that meet Team Associated's manufacturing standards and specifications.
- Can I use these bushings on other RC brands? — These bushings are specifically designed for Team Associated vehicles that require 10 mm shock bushings. Whilst the physical size may be similar to other brands, using non-genuine or incorrectly-sized bushings can result in poor suspension performance, handling issues, or damage to your shock absorbers. Always use the bushing size recommended for your specific RC vehicle.
- What is the 7mm offset mentioned in some product listings? — The offset specification refers to the internal design of how the bushing seats within the shock assembly. This is a detail handled by the bushing's engineering — you simply install it as part of your shock assembly following your vehicle's service manual. The 10 mm dimension is what matters for fitment purposes.
- Are these shock bushings difficult to install? — Shock bushing replacement is a straightforward maintenance task suitable for RC enthusiasts of all skill levels. You'll typically need basic tools like Allen keys or screwdrivers, and access to your vehicle's shock mounting points. Your RC car's user manual will provide step-by-step instructions for shock bushing replacement. If you're uncertain, the team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance.
- How many shock bushings do I need? — Most RC vehicles require two shock bushings per shock absorber (top and bottom), meaning four bushings total to service both front and rear shocks. The AS91815 package includes exactly four bushings, providing a complete set for full suspension servicing or enough spares for future maintenance.
