Overview

The Team Associated HD TiN Ballstuds 10mm (AS91753) are genuine OEM replacement parts engineered for precision RC applications. These hardened titanium nitride-coated ballstuds are essential hardware components for anyone maintaining or upgrading their RC car's suspension and linkage systems. Whether you're a competitive racer running an Associated B-series buggy, a weekend basher, or an enthusiast keeping your RC vehicle in peak condition, these ballstuds deliver the durability and reliability that comes from factory-approved Team Associated engineering.

If you're searching for genuine RC car spares in the UK, the HD TiN coating on these ballstuds offers superior wear resistance compared to standard options, extending the lifespan of your linkage components and ensuring consistent performance across multiple race meetings or casual runs. The 10mm size makes them compatible with numerous Associated models, from the popular B6 series through to the latest B7, B74 and T-series platforms. As an authorised Team Associated retailer, we stock only genuine parts that meet factory specifications, giving you confidence that you're purchasing authentic hardware.

Ballstuds are critical pivot points in any RC car's suspension geometry. When they wear or become damaged, they can affect handling precision, introduce play in your suspension links, and ultimately compromise your vehicle's performance on track or trail. Having quality replacement ballstuds in your spares box is essential maintenance practice for any serious RC enthusiast in the UK.

Key Features

  • HD TiN (Titanium Nitride) Coating — The proprietary hardened titanium nitride surface treatment provides significantly improved wear resistance and surface hardness compared to standard steel ballstuds, meaning they resist scoring, pitting and degradation even under high-stress racing conditions, extending service life and maintaining consistent ball-to-cup fit over an extended period.
  • 10mm Ballstud Size — These ballstuds are manufactured to the precise 10mm specification required by numerous Team Associated RC models, ensuring perfect compatibility with factory suspension geometry and linkage components without any fitment issues or modifications.
  • Genuine Team Associated Part — This is the authentic OEM component, not a third-party alternative, meaning you're getting parts engineered and tested by the designers who built your RC car to deliver optimal performance and reliability.
  • M3 Thread Specification — The ballstuds feature M3 metric threading with a 10mm threaded section length, meeting the precise thread specifications required for proper engagement with factory ball cups and suspension components across the Associated range.
  • 5.6mm Ball Diameter — The hardened ball measured 5.6mm in diameter, providing the correct profile for proper fit and function with Team Associated ball cups and suspension hardware designed for this specification.
  • Essential Maintenance Component — Whether replacing worn ballstuds from regular use or stocking spares for competition, these components are fundamental to maintaining your RC car's suspension geometry and handling characteristics.
  • Broad Model Compatibility — Suitable for a wide range of Associated RC models including the B6, B6D, B6.1, B6.1D, B6.1DL, B6.2, B6.2D, B6.3, B6.4, B6.4D, B64, B64D, B7, B7D, B74, B74.1, B74.2, B74.2D, T6.1, T6.2, T6.4, DR10, DR10M, RC10SC6.1, RC10SC6.2, RC10DR, RC10 4WD, SC6.4, SC10SW, RB10, RB10 Retro, SR10, Reflex 14B and Pro2 variants, making this a versatile spare part for collectors and active racers with multiple Associated models.

Technical Performance

The HD TiN ballstuds represent Team Associated's commitment to manufacturing components that survive the demands of competitive RC racing. The titanium nitride coating process hardens the steel substrate to create a surface that resists wear far better than conventional hardened steel. This coating is particularly valuable in ballstud applications because ballstuds experience constant rotational stress as suspension arms move through their range of motion during cornering, acceleration and braking. The harder surface reduces galling—the destructive adhesive wear that occurs between the ball and its cup—and minimises the creep that gradually enlarges the cup bore over time. With precise M3 threading and a 10mm threaded section, these ballstuds provide secure, consistent engagement with associated ball cups. The 5.6mm ball diameter has been verified through precision measurement and is engineered to work seamlessly with the ball cups specified for your Associated RC model. These are not generic ballstuds; they are precision-engineered components manufactured to the exacting standards Team Associated applies across their entire product range. For RC enthusiasts in the UK building, maintaining or racing Associated buggies, these ballstuds are the correct choice for OEM specification repairs or preventive spares stocking.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What vehicles do these ballstuds fit? — These 10mm HD TiN ballstuds are compatible with numerous Team Associated RC models including the full B6 series (B6, B6D, B6.1, B6.1D, B6.1DL, B6.2, B6.2D, B6.3, B6.4, B6.4D), the B64 series, B7 series (B7, B7D), B74 series (B74, B74.1, B74.2, B74.2D), T-series buggies (T6.1, T6.2, T6.4), short-course trucks (RC10SC6.1, RC10SC6.2, SC6.4, SC10SW), the DR10 and DR10M desert racers, the RB10 buggy, the SR10 Reflex, the RC10 4WD, RC10DR, the RB10 Retro, and Pro2 variants. If you're unsure about your specific model, please contact our team at RC Model Shop on 01543 577278 and we'll confirm compatibility.
  • Why are these ballstuds better than standard options? — The HD TiN (titanium nitride) coating provides a significantly harder surface than standard steel ballstuds, which means they resist wear, scoring and pitting far more effectively. This harder coating reduces the rate at which ballstud-to-cup contact surfaces degrade, extending the usable life of your suspension components and maintaining consistent handling characteristics over a longer service period. For competitive RC racing in the UK, this means you can run more meetings or events before requiring replacement.
  • What does the 10mm specification mean? — The 10mm refers to the overall size classification of the ballstud. These are 10mm ballstuds designed to work with 10mm ball cups and the associated suspension linkage geometry on the compatible models listed above. Using the correct size is critical because oversized or undersized ballstuds will not fit properly in their cups and will either be too loose (introducing play and affecting handling) or too tight (risking damage to the cup bore or the ballstud itself).
  • How do I know if my ballstuds need replacing? — Ballstuds should be replaced when you notice play or looseness in your suspension links, visible scoring or pitting on the ball surface, difficulty fully seating the ball in the cup, or if you're performing preventive maintenance before a major racing event or season. Many competitive racers replace ballstuds every season or after every 5-10 race meetings as part of their maintenance programme.
  • Are these the same ballstuds that come with new Associated RC cars? — Yes, these are genuine Team Associated OEM parts, which means they are the identical components fitted to new Associated RC vehicles from the factory. By purchasing AS91753, you're getting the exact same specification and quality that Associated engineers designed into your RC car.
  • What thread size are these? — These ballstuds feature M3 metric threading with a 10mm threaded section length, which is the specification required by Team Associated for proper engagement with factory ball cups on the compatible models. The 5.6mm ball diameter pairs with this threading to deliver the precise geometry needed for optimal suspension performance.
