- Robust Steel Construction — The weight is manufactured from durable steel material that provides consistent mass and longevity, resisting wear and maintaining its properties across hundreds of running hours without degradation or deformation.
- Precise Weight at 24 Grams — The exact 24-gram specification allows for fine-tuning of your buggy's weight distribution, enabling you to make incremental adjustments that have a measurable impact on traction, steering response, and overall chassis feel without overwhelming changes.
- Refines Chassis Balance and Weight Distribution — By strategically adding mass to your buggy, you can shift the centre of gravity and alter the weight bias between front and rear axles, directly influencing how your RC buggy behaves through corners and across varied terrain.
- Improves Stability in Changing Conditions — Adding controlled mass to your chassis helps stabilise the buggy when track conditions change, whether you encounter dusty surfaces, damp ground, or rapid transitions between different soil types, ensuring more consistent lap times throughout a race.
- Enhances Steering Response and Handling Feel — The weight component influences how your buggy's steering reacts to input, allowing you to dial in the perfect balance between responsiveness and stability based on your driving style and track conditions.
- Factory Fit and Finish — This component is manufactured to the same exacting standards as all genuine Team Associated parts, guaranteeing perfect fitment and eliminating any compatibility issues with your B6, B6D, or B6.1 buggy.

Technical Performance
This steel chassis weight represents a fundamental tuning principle in competitive RC buggy racing: controlling mass distribution to optimise handling and performance. The 24-gram specification is carefully calculated to provide meaningful adjustments to your buggy's weight bias without introducing so much mass that it becomes counterproductive. When you add weight to the chassis, you alter the moment of inertia and shift where the centre of gravity sits relative to the suspension geometry, which has direct consequences for how your 1/10 scale RC buggy behaves during acceleration, braking, and cornering. The steel construction ensures absolute consistency — unlike some cheaper alternatives, this component will not degrade, compress, or change its mass characteristics over time, meaning your tuning adjustments remain stable across multiple race meetings. Serious RC racers understand that the difference between winning and losing often comes down to these kinds of marginal gains achieved through precise setup optimisation, and this genuine Associated component provides a reliable mechanical foundation for making those adjustments. The factory fit and finish mean there are no rough edges, no assembly required, and no compatibility issues — you simply install it and begin refining your buggy's handling to suit your driving style and the specific track conditions you face.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is a chassis weight and why would I need one for my RC buggy? — A chassis weight is a tuning component that adds controlled mass to your buggy's frame, allowing you to adjust weight distribution and centre of gravity. This affects traction, steering response, and stability. Most competitive RC buggy drivers use weights as part of their setup routine to dial in the perfect balance for their driving style and the specific track conditions they face on any given day.
- Is the AS91747 compatible with my Associated buggy? — Yes, this weight is confirmed compatible with Team Associated B6, B6D, and B6.1 models. If you own one of these buggies and want to optimise your setup, this component will work perfectly with your vehicle. Always check your specific model against the compatibility list to be certain.
- How much difference will adding a 24-gram weight make to my buggy's performance? — A 24-gram weight shift will produce noticeable changes in handling characteristics, particularly affecting how your buggy behaves during corner entry, mid-corner speed, and acceleration out of turns. The exact impact depends on where you position the weight on the chassis. This is why competitive racers keep multiple weights and experiment with placement to find the optimal setup.
- Is this suitable for beginners learning to tune their RC buggy? — Absolutely. In fact, using weights like the AS91747 is one of the best ways to learn how setup changes influence your buggy's behaviour. Unlike purchasing new suspension components or adjusting camber, adding or removing mass is a simple, reversible tuning method that teaches you cause-and-effect in real time, making it ideal for drivers developing their tuning knowledge.
- What makes this genuine Associated weight better than generic alternatives? — This is an authentic Factory Team Associated component manufactured to precise specifications with consistent steel construction, guaranteed fitment, and the backing of Associated's reputation for quality. Generic weights may vary in mass, material consistency, or fitment, potentially causing setup inconsistencies. Buying genuine ensures you are making repeatable, reliable adjustments to your buggy's setup.
- Can I use this weight on multiple different Associated buggies? — Yes, if you own multiple Team Associated B-series models, this weight can be moved between them, making it a versatile tuning tool that works across your fleet of buggies.
