Overview

The Associated M4 Serrated Nuts (AS91738) are genuine replacement fasteners designed for RC enthusiasts who demand reliability and performance from their RC car, truck, or buggy hardware. Whether you're maintaining a Team Associated competition vehicle or upgrading your RC model car setup, these M4 serrated nuts provide the secure fastening solution you need to keep your wheels, hubs, and axle assemblies firmly in place during intense track or trail sessions. As an authorised supplier of Associated parts here in the UK, RC Model Shop stocks these essential replacement nuts to help you maintain your RC vehicle in peak condition.

Vibration and repeated use on the track can gradually loosen standard fasteners, which is why the serrated face design of these M4 nuts makes such a practical difference to RC car owners across the UK. The serrations bite into the mating surface of hubs and wheels, creating extra grip that actively resists loosening from the constant vibrations your RC model experiences during high-speed runs and challenging terrain. For anyone running an Associated RC car, truck, or buggy—whether you're a weekend basher enjoying outdoor RC fun or a serious competitor pushing your vehicle to its limits—keeping your hardware secure is fundamental to performance and safety.

Available as a straightforward bolt-on replacement part, the AS91738 nuts are perfect for refreshing worn hardware on your existing RC model. They're compatible with a wide range of Associated vehicles including the popular B6, B6.1, B6.2, TC7, T6, B64, B74, RC8T, RC10SC, Rival MT10, Reflex 14B, and many other Team Associated platforms. Order your M4 serrated nuts online today and enjoy free UK delivery on orders over £100—keeping your RC setup in top condition has never been easier.

Key Features

  • M4 Thread Size — These nuts are precisely manufactured to M4 metric thread specifications, making them compatible with the standard wheel and axle hardware found on countless RC cars, trucks, and buggies across the hobby. M4 threads are among the most common fastening points in RC vehicle assembly, so having genuine replacement nuts on hand is essential maintenance.
  • Serrated Face Design — The serrated (ridged) face on these nuts creates mechanical grip against the mating surface of your RC model's hubs, wheels, and other threaded components. This ridged surface bites into the material it contacts, providing superior resistance to vibration-induced loosening compared to standard smooth nuts. During aggressive driving sessions, your RC car experiences constant vibration that can gradually work fasteners loose—the serrations actively combat this problem.
  • Genuine Associated Replacement Part — As an official Associated (Team Associated) replacement component, these nuts carry the manufacturer's quality assurance and are engineered to exact specifications for perfect fit and function. Using genuine manufacturer parts ensures compatibility and reliability across your entire RC model vehicle.
  • Wide Vehicle Compatibility — These M4 nuts are suitable for a comprehensive range of Associated and Team Associated RC vehicles, including the B6D, TC7.1, B64D, B64, F6, B6.1, B6.1D, RC8T3.1E, T6.1, RC10SC6.1, TC7.2, Reflex 14B, B74, Rival MT10, B6.2, DR10, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2E, T6.2, RC10SC6.2, Pro4 SC10, RB10, SR10, RC8B4E, DR10M, RC8T4E, RC8T4, Pro2 LT10SW, Pro2 DK10SW Dakar, Reflex 14MT, DC10, RC10DR, Reflex 14B Classic, SC10SW, and RB10 Retro models.

Technical Performance

The M4 Serrated Nuts represent Associated's commitment to precision engineering in RC fastener design. The serrated face technology is based on proven mechanical principles—the ridged surface pattern increases the effective contact area and creates directional grip that helps prevent rotational loosening under vibration. Unlike smooth or slotted nuts that rely purely on thread tension to stay tight, serrated nuts add a mechanical locking component that's particularly valuable in RC applications where continuous vibration is inevitable. The M4 metric thread size is industry-standard for RC wheel hubs and axle assemblies, ensuring perfect compatibility with genuine Associated components and most aftermarket options designed to work with Team Associated vehicles. These nuts are manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring consistent fit and function across multiple applications. Whether you're maintaining a 1/10 scale RC buggy, a short course truck, a touring car, or any other Associated platform, these fasteners deliver reliable performance at the point of contact where your wheels and suspension components connect to the chassis and drivetrain.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why would I need M4 serrated nuts for my RC car or truck? — Standard smooth nuts can gradually loosen during RC driving due to constant vibration, which may cause wheels to become unstable or even detach in extreme cases. Serrated nuts provide superior grip through their ridged face design, actively resisting this vibration-induced loosening. If you've noticed your wheel fasteners becoming loose between track sessions or if you're upgrading to components that provide better security, these serrated nuts are a reliable upgrade for RC cars and RC trucks of all types.
  • Are these genuine Associated parts? — Yes, the AS91738 is an official Team Associated replacement part. Buying genuine manufacturer fasteners ensures perfect compatibility, precise engineering, and reliable performance. We stock only authorised Associated parts here at RC Model Shop, so you can purchase with confidence knowing you're getting authentic components for your RC model.
  • Which Associated RC vehicles use M4 nuts? — These nuts are compatible with a very wide range of Team Associated platforms, including all versions of the B6 series (B6, B6.1, B6.1D, B6.2), TC7 series (TC7.1, TC7.2), T6 series (T6.1, T6.2), B64 series (B64, B64D), B74, RC8T series (RC8T3.1E, RC8T3.2, RC8T3.2E, RC8T4, RC8T4E), RC10SC series (RC10SC6.1, RC10SC6.2), Rival MT10, Reflex models, DR10 series, Pro4 SC10, RB10 models, SR10, and many others. If you're unsure whether your specific Associated vehicle uses M4 fasteners, our experienced team at RC Model Shop are happy to help—simply give us a call on 01543 577278 during business hours (Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) or use our WhatsApp service for quick advice.
  • How many nuts come in a pack? — The exact quantity per pack is not specified in our current product information. We recommend contacting RC Model Shop directly for clarification on pack size and to confirm whether you need multiple packs for your RC project.
  • What makes serrated nuts better than standard nuts for RC applications? — The serrated (ridged) face creates mechanical friction and grip against the surface it contacts, adding a secondary locking mechanism beyond simple thread tension. In RC vehicles that experience continuous vibration and motion, this extra security is genuinely valuable. Standard smooth nuts rely only on thread friction, which can gradually relax under vibration. Serrated nuts actively resist this relaxation through their contact surface design, making them ideal for wheels, hubs, and other critical assembly points on RC cars, buggies, trucks, and crawlers.
  • Can I use these nuts on non-Associated RC vehicles? — These are specifically designed as Team Associated replacement parts, but if your RC vehicle uses standard M4 metric threads, they may be compatible. However, we recommend checking your vehicle's specifications or contacting our team to confirm compatibility before purchasing. Using the correct manufacturer-specified fasteners is always the safest approach.
