Technical Performance
Team Associated FT Bearings are manufactured to exacting tolerances and standards that reflect decades of experience in precision RC engineering. The 15x21x4mm size is a common specification across many Team Associated RC chassis, and these bearings feature precision ball races that ensure smooth, consistent rotation under load. The low-friction design minimises energy loss in your drivetrain, meaning more of your motor's power is transmitted to the wheels rather than being wasted to friction. When bearings wear out – which is inevitable through normal use – they begin to bind slightly, creating drag that reduces speed, increases current draw from your battery, and generates heat that can damage surrounding components. By replacing worn bearings with fresh Team Associated FT Bearings during maintenance, you'll immediately notice improved performance, faster lap times, and more efficient battery usage. These metric ball bearings are designed for durability in the demanding environment of RC racing, where high speeds, rapid acceleration, and aggressive handling place significant stress on all drivetrain components. Quality matters in RC; using genuine OEM Team Associated spares ensures your vehicle performs exactly as the engineers intended.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What are FT Bearings and why do I need them for my RC car UK? — FT Bearings are precision ball bearings designed for RC vehicles; they enable smooth rotation of axles, shafts and other rotating components within your RC car's drivetrain. Over time and with use, bearings wear out and begin to bind, creating friction that reduces speed and performance. Replacing worn bearings with fresh Team Associated FT Bearings is one of the most effective and cost-efficient performance upgrades you can make, restoring your RC car to peak running condition.
- Will these Team Associated FT Bearings fit my RC car? — The 15x21x4mm size is common across many Team Associated RC models including the RC8, RC8B, RC8B3, RC8T, SC8, SC8e, SC10 4x4, RC8.2, RC8.2e, and many other variants. If your Team Associated vehicle uses this bearing size in its specification, these will fit perfectly; however, always check your specific model's manual or parts diagram to confirm the correct bearing size before ordering.
- How do I know when my RC car's bearings need replacing? — Common signs of worn bearings include increased drag or resistance during free-rolling, reduced top speed despite using a fully charged battery, increased motor temperature, and visible grinding or grinding noises from the drivetrain. If you notice any of these symptoms, it's time to replace your bearings with a fresh set of Team Associated FT Bearings to restore performance.
- Why should I buy genuine Team Associated bearings rather than cheaper alternatives? — Genuine Team Associated spares are manufactured to exact OEM specifications, ensuring perfect fitment, consistent quality, and reliability. Cheaper aftermarket or unknown-brand bearings may vary in tolerance, leading to poor fitment, increased wear on surrounding components, and inconsistent performance. For the modest investment in genuine spares, the peace of mind and performance consistency is well worth it.
- How many bearings do I need for a complete overhaul of my RC car? — This depends on your specific model; most RC cars use multiple bearings throughout the drivetrain. The four bearings in this pack may replace all bearings in some models or just some positions in others. Consult your vehicle's manual or parts diagram to determine the total number of bearings you'll need, then order accordingly or stock up on spare packs for future maintenance.
