Overview

Keep your RC car running at peak performance with the Associated Factory Team 6 x 13 x 5mm Bearings (4) AS91562. These genuine Associated spare parts are essential maintenance items for any serious RC enthusiast in the UK who demands smooth, responsive handling from their RC model. Whether you're campaigning an RC10B5, RC10B5M, or another compatible Associated model, these factory team bearings represent the OEM solution trusted by professionals and weekend bashers alike. Worn or damaged bearings can significantly impact your RC car's performance, causing binding, friction and unpredictable handling characteristics that compromise both speed and control.

Supplied as a pack of four premium-quality bearings, the Associated Factory Team 6 x 13 x 5mm set delivers noticeable improvements in drivetrain smoothness and overall vehicle performance. The distinctive blue shield on one side of each bearing helps you identify genuine Associated parts and provides an extra layer of protection. Each bearing is packaged individually, making it easy to store spares or install them one at a time as needed. For RC car UK enthusiasts looking to maintain their vehicles to factory standards, these bearings are an indispensable addition to your spare parts collection.

The 6 x 13 x 5mm size is a common specification found across multiple Associated models and some other RC platforms of compatible dimensions. By comparing your bearing size and replacing worn-out bearings or bushings today, you'll immediately notice smoother acceleration, more responsive steering inputs, and improved overall drivetrain efficiency. This is particularly important if you've been experiencing play or slack in critical areas of your vehicle's suspension or transmission system.

Key Features

  • Genuine Associated Factory Team Part — This is an OEM bearing manufactured to exact Associated specifications, ensuring perfect fit and compatibility with your RC car without any guesswork or compatibility concerns.
  • Blue Shield Design — The distinctive blue shield on one side serves both as a quality assurance marker and as protective shielding to keep contaminants out of the bearing races, extending bearing life even in dusty or wet conditions.
  • Precision 6 x 13 x 5mm Size — This standardised bearing dimension fits multiple Associated models and can be cross-referenced with other RC platforms of the same size, making these versatile spares for any serious RC hobbyist.
  • Pack of Four Bearings — Each pack contains four individual bearings, enough to service multiple drivetrain locations or to keep essential spares on hand for race day or regular maintenance schedules.
  • Individually Packaged — Each bearing comes separately packaged, making storage, identification and installation straightforward whilst preventing loss or damage during transit and storage.
  • Performance Enhancement — Replacing worn bearings eliminates play in critical areas of your RC vehicle, resulting in measurably smoother performance, improved responsiveness and better overall handling characteristics.
  • Universal Compatibility Option — Whilst designed for Associated models, the standard 6 x 13 x 5mm size means these bearings can potentially replace worn bearings in other RC models if you verify the size matches your vehicle.
  • Easy Identification — The blue shield makes it simple to distinguish these genuine Associated bearings from generic alternatives, ensuring you always know exactly what specification you're installing.

Technical Performance

These Associated Factory Team bearings represent precision engineering designed specifically for the demands of competitive and recreational RC car racing. The 6 x 13 x 5mm specification delivers the optimal balance of load capacity, rotational speed capability and durability for use in steering, suspension and drivetrain applications across multiple Associated platforms. The bearing races are manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring smooth rotational characteristics with minimal friction and no binding or play once properly installed. The blue shield provides effective dust and dirt exclusion without creating excessive drag, maintaining the bearing's ability to spin freely even after extended use in outdoor conditions. For RC car UK users operating in variable weather conditions—from dry summer racing to muddy autumn practice sessions—this protective design becomes particularly valuable. The bearing material composition and manufacturing process have been optimised by Associated's factory team to deliver extended service life whilst maintaining the precision performance characteristics demanded by competitive racers. Regular replacement of bearings as part of your maintenance routine will keep your RC vehicle performing at factory specifications and help prevent accelerated wear on other drivetrain components. Whether you're running your Associated model on a carpet racing surface, outdoor clay track, or using it for casual backyard bashing, these bearings will smooth out play in critical areas and deliver all-round performance improvements that directly translate to faster lap times and more enjoyable driving experience.

These bearings are specifically designed as original equipment for the following Associated RC models:

The standard 6 x 13 x 5mm bearing size may also fit other RC car models from various manufacturers if your vehicle uses bearings of identical dimensions. Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes genuine Associated bearings better than generic alternatives? — Genuine Associated Factory Team bearings are manufactured to exact OEM specifications with precision tolerances that guarantee perfect fit and performance compatibility with your Associated RC car. Generic bearings may have looser tolerances, leading to play or binding, and may not spin as freely. Using OEM parts ensures your vehicle handles exactly as the engineers intended.
  • How often should I replace the bearings in my RC car? — Bearing replacement frequency depends on usage intensity and operating conditions. Competitive racers might replace bearings every few months, whilst recreational bashers might go 6-12 months between replacements. If you notice binding, grinding sounds, or play in your steering or drivetrain, it's time to replace your bearings immediately.
  • Can I use these 6 x 13 x 5mm bearings in models other than Associated? — The 6 x 13 x 5mm size is a common bearing specification used across multiple RC car brands. If your non-Associated RC vehicle uses bearings of this exact size, these should work as replacements. Always verify your current bearing dimensions before purchasing to ensure compatibility.
  • What is the blue shield on one side of the bearing for? — The blue shield provides protection against dirt, dust and moisture ingress into the bearing races, extending bearing life and maintaining smooth operation. It serves as both a protective seal and as a visual quality marker to confirm you have genuine Associated parts.
  • Why does my RC car feel loose or unresponsive after long use? — Worn bearings allow unwanted play to develop throughout your vehicle's drivetrain and suspension, causing a vague, unresponsive feeling and making it difficult to steer precisely. Replacing bearings as part of routine maintenance eliminates this play and restores crisp handling characteristics.
  • Are these suitable for competitive racing or just casual use? — These are genuine Associated Factory Team bearings used by professional racers and casual hobbyists alike. They're equally suitable for competitive racing, practice sessions, or recreational bashing—they represent the factory standard for Associated models.
  • How do I install these bearings in my RC car? — Installation involves removing the old bearings from their respective locations (typically in the steering knuckles, suspension arms, and drivetrain components) and pressing or sliding the new bearings into place. Refer to your Associated model's manual for specific installation locations and procedures.
  • What is the difference between these Factory Team bearings and standard Associated bearings? — Factory Team bearings are manufactured to more exacting tolerances and represent Associated's premium specification for maximum performance. They're designed to the same standards used in competition racing, whilst standard-grade alternatives may have slightly looser specifications.
