Overview
The Team Associated RC8B4.1/e Steering Block Arms +1 in aluminium are genuine OEM spare parts designed specifically for the RC8B4.1 and RC8B4.1e off-road buggies. These precision-engineered components are an essential upgrade and replacement option for anyone maintaining or tuning their 1/10 scale electric RC buggy. The +1 specification represents an advanced steering geometry upgrade that delivers sharper steering response and improved handling characteristics, particularly beneficial on low-grip track conditions and ungroomed outdoor surfaces. Whether you're a competitive racer looking to dial in your setup or a dedicated RC enthusiast keeping your buggy in top condition, these aluminium steering block arms are the perfect choice for maintaining optimal performance.
The RC8B4.1e represents the latest evolution of Team Associated's renowned eBuggy platform, engineered from the ground up to deliver superior handling on challenging outdoor tracks. The new RWB/FWB adjustable weight bias chassis design allows drivers to tune rear grip versus steering by choosing between motor-rearward configuration for maximum traction or motor-forward setup for enhanced steering response. This innovative approach, combined with the +1 steering block arms, creates a versatile platform capable of competitive performance across diverse track conditions. These steering arms work in harmony with the buggy's completely overhauled suspension system, featuring new low-CG shock towers, shorter shock bodies, and optimised geometry to maximise control and precision handling.
If you're searching for quality RC car spares in the UK, these Team Associated steering block arms represent authentic, manufacturer-approved components that maintain the integrity of your buggy's steering response. The aluminium construction provides durability and reliability through countless laps and bashing sessions, whilst the +1 geometry ensures you get the sharpest steering feel possible during competitive racing or recreational driving. These are the genuine parts used in Team Associated's official RC8B4.1e kit, trusted by thousands of RC enthusiasts and competitive racers worldwide.
Key Features
- +1 Steering Geometry — The +1 specification provides sharper steering response compared to standard steering arms, giving drivers more precise control and improved turn-in performance on low-grip surfaces and ungroomed outdoor tracks where precision steering is critical for lap times and consistency.
- Genuine Team Associated Component — These are official OEM spare parts supplied directly under the manufacturer's part number AS81640, ensuring authenticity and guaranteed compatibility with your RC8B4.1 or RC8B4.1e buggy without any guesswork or fitment issues.
- Premium Aluminium Construction — Manufactured from quality aluminium, these steering block arms offer an excellent balance of light weight and structural rigidity, contributing to the overall low-CG design philosophy of the RC8B4.1e whilst maintaining the durability needed for competitive use.
- Perfect for Maintenance and Upgrades — Use these parts as replacement components when servicing the steering block arm location on your buggy or when upgrading from standard to +1 geometry for more responsive steering control during racing or challenging driving conditions.
- Works with Latest RC8B4.1e Design — Specifically engineered to work seamlessly with the new RC8B4.1e's advanced suspension system, including the new low-CG shock towers, shorter shock bodies, and optimised rear anti-roll bar geometry for consistent handling on both smooth and bumpy tracks.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated RC8B4.1e represents a significant engineering advancement in 1/10 scale off-road electric buggy design, with particular emphasis on lowering centre of gravity and weight whilst improving handling on challenging outdoor terrain. The new low-CG and lightweight aluminium front and rear shock towers work in conjunction with new shorter 16mm front and rear shock bodies, creating a chassis that sits lower to the ground for improved stability during high-speed cornering and over technical obstacle sections. The +1 steering block arms featured in this listing integrate with the RC8B4.1e's completely redesigned suspension architecture, which includes new 3-hole rear suspension arms with updated rear anti-roll bar geometry optimised for both smooth and bumpy track conditions. The overall engineering approach demonstrates Team Associated's commitment to providing genuine performance advantages through carefully considered geometry rather than simply increasing power delivery. The 92mm universal driveshafts with 17mm outdrives, combined with the 44/13 ring and pinion bevel gear set and 46T molded spur gear, deliver smooth, progressive power to the wheels for maximum grip and consistent acceleration on unprepared outdoor surfaces. The updated suspension arms feature Team Associated's Soft Blend formulation for maximum durability in cold weather conditions, ensuring consistent performance throughout the racing season in UK climates. These steering arms are manufactured to precise tolerances using quality aluminium that resists corrosion and maintains its strength through repeated use.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does the +1 specification mean on these steering block arms? — The +1 specification indicates an advanced steering geometry configuration that provides sharper steering response and improved turn-in performance compared to standard steering arms. This makes the buggy feel more responsive to driver input, particularly valuable on low-grip outdoor tracks where precision steering control directly impacts lap times and consistency.
- Are these steering arms compatible with both the RC8B4.1 and RC8B4.1e? — Yes, these genuine Team Associated steering block arms are designed to work with both the RC8B4.1 and the newer RC8B4.1e models. However, you should refer to your specific kit manual and parts list to confirm proper installation procedures and geometry setup for your particular buggy version.
- Can I install these steering arms myself, or do I need professional help? — These are spare parts designed for hobbyist maintenance and upgrades. You can install them yourself if you have basic RC car assembly skills and appropriate tools, though you should consult your RC8B4.1/e manual for detailed installation instructions and proper steering geometry configuration to ensure optimal performance.
- What is the difference between standard steering arms and these +1 steering arms? — The +1 specification provides more aggressive steering geometry that delivers sharper turn-in and more responsive steering feel compared to the standard configuration. This is particularly beneficial on low-grip surfaces and ungroomed outdoor tracks where additional steering precision helps with control and lap consistency, making them an ideal upgrade for competitive racers.
- Why would I need to replace my steering block arms? — Steering arms can wear out through normal use, especially in competitive racing where they experience constant articulation and stress. Upgrading to +1 geometry arms is also a popular tuning option for drivers seeking improved steering response and better handling on challenging terrain.
- Do these parts require any special maintenance? — Like all aluminium RC components, these steering arms should be kept clean and checked periodically for wear or damage. They don't require any special maintenance beyond standard RC buggy upkeep, though proper geometry setup according to your manual is important for optimal performance.
