Overview

The Team Associated DC10 Shock Bladders (AS72224) are genuine OEM replacement spares designed specifically for the Team Associated DC10 drift platform. Whether you're a serious RC drifter in the UK or someone who enjoys weekend RC car sessions, maintaining your DC10 with authentic Team Associated parts ensures optimal performance and longevity. These shock bladders are essential components that help maintain proper suspension function and damping characteristics on your drift car.

If you own a Team Associated DC10 drift car, shock bladder replacement is a routine part of regular maintenance and upkeep. Over time, shock bladders can wear, degrade or lose their effectiveness, which impacts how your RC car handles and performs on the track or carpet. Using genuine Associated spares like the AS72224 means you're getting parts engineered and tested by the manufacturer to exact specifications, ensuring compatibility and reliability with your DC10 chassis.

These shock bladders are supplied under the original Team Associated part number AS72224, making identification straightforward and ensuring you select the correct components for your DC10. Whether you're refreshing your suspension system, servicing worn components, or building a backup set of shocks, these genuine spares are the proper choice for any DC10 owner serious about maintaining their RC drift car to the highest standard.

Key Features

  • Genuine OEM Team Associated Spares — These shock bladders are official Team Associated parts manufactured to the exact specifications of the DC10 drift platform, ensuring perfect fitment and performance compatibility with your chassis and shock units.
  • Specifically Designed for DC10 Drift Cars — Engineered exclusively for use with the Team Associated DC10, these bladders are optimised for the specific suspension geometry and damping requirements of this dedicated drift chassis.
  • Original Part Number AS72224 — Supplied under the manufacturer's original part designation, making identification and ordering simple and eliminating any confusion about compatibility or authenticity.
  • Suspension System Maintenance — Shock bladders are critical components within shock units that affect how your DC10's suspension absorbs impacts and maintains consistent damping throughout your driving session, making regular replacement essential for peak performance.
  • Perfect for Servicing and Upkeep — Whether you're performing routine maintenance on your RC drift car or replacing worn components, these genuine spares help keep your DC10 running smoothly and handling predictably on the track.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated DC10 Shock Bladders work as part of the complete shock assembly on the DC10 drift platform. Shock bladders are internal components within shock units that play a crucial role in suspension performance by helping to maintain consistent damping force and managing oil pressure within the shock absorber. The bladders work in tandem with shock oil and the overall shock design to provide the responsive, controlled suspension behaviour that drift cars demand. Using genuine Team Associated shock bladders ensures that your DC10's suspension performs exactly as the engineers intended, with proper pressure regulation, consistent damping characteristics throughout the suspension travel, and optimal handling feedback. Quality matters when it comes to suspension components on an RC drift car, as even small variations in shock bladder condition can affect turn-in response, stability during sustained drifts, and overall car control. The AS72224 bladders are manufactured to exact tolerances and materials specifications to maintain the performance integrity of your DC10 chassis over extended use and multiple servicing cycles.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these shock bladders compatible with my Team Associated DC10? — Yes, these are genuine Team Associated OEM spares engineered specifically for the DC10 drift platform. The AS72224 part number is referenced directly in the DC10 documentation and is the correct replacement bladder for this chassis.
  • Why would I need to replace shock bladders on my RC drift car? — Shock bladders can degrade, wear, or lose effectiveness over time with regular use. Replacing them during routine maintenance helps maintain proper suspension damping, consistent handling characteristics, and prevents performance degradation on your DC10.
  • How often should I replace shock bladders on my DC10? — This depends on usage frequency and intensity. Regular recreational users may replace them annually or every 2-3 years, whilst competitive drifters might service them more frequently. If you notice changes in suspension feel, reduced responsiveness, or inconsistent handling, it's time to consider replacement.
  • Can I use aftermarket shock bladders instead of genuine Team Associated parts? — Whilst aftermarket options may exist, genuine Team Associated AS72224 bladders are engineered and tested specifically for the DC10 platform, ensuring exact compatibility, proper pressure regulation, and performance consistency that matches the manufacturer's specifications and your car's design.
  • What tools do I need to replace shock bladders on my DC10? — Shock bladder replacement typically requires removal of your shock units from the chassis and disassembly of the shocks themselves. You'll need appropriate RC tools and an understanding of shock assembly and disassembly procedures. If you're uncertain about the process, consult the DC10 manual or contact our team for guidance.
  • Are these shock bladders suitable for beginners? — These are maintenance spares rather than an entry-level product. They're suitable for anyone who already owns a DC10 and is performing routine maintenance or repairs. If you're new to the DC10, the complete shock assemblies would be your starting point, and these bladders would be needed when those shocks require servicing down the line.
