Overview
The Team Associated DR10 FT Aluminium Front Bulkhead 25 Degree is a precision-engineered optional upgrade designed specifically for drift and competition RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand enhanced durability and performance from their machines. Factory Team introduces this component as part of their comprehensive spares and upgrades range for the DR10, SR10, and RB10 models. Whether you're running a competitive drift setup or refining your RC car UK collection, this aluminium bulkhead represents a significant step forward in chassis tuning and weight distribution management.
As an authorised dealer of Team Associated products, RC Model Shop stocks this essential component for drivers who understand that front-end geometry and weight distribution are critical factors in achieving consistent performance on the track. The DR10 FT Aluminium Front Bulkhead is engineered to replace the stock #91359 component, offering superior material properties and precise 25-degree geometry that directly impacts steering response and acceleration characteristics.
This is not a cosmetic upgrade—it's a functional performance enhancement backed by Factory Team engineering expertise. The aluminium construction provides durability improvements whilst the specific 25-degree angle and 14g weight signature help tune your RC drift car for optimal handling dynamics across varying track conditions and driving styles.
Key Features
- Lightweight Aluminium Construction at 14g — The aluminium material provides superior durability compared to plastic alternatives whilst maintaining a featherlight weight profile of just 14g, allowing precise weight distribution tuning without compromising overall chassis balance or acceleration characteristics.
- 25-Degree Geometry for Enhanced Steering Response — The carefully calculated 25-degree angle adds more steering on acceleration, giving drivers greater control during aggressive driving manoeuvres and improving mid-turn feedback when initiating drifts on competition tracks.
- Prevents Front Wheel Lift During Acceleration — The bulkhead geometry and weight distribution work together to keep the front wheels planted during hard acceleration, maintaining consistent grip and preventing the loss of control that can occur with lighter or incorrectly angled alternatives.
- Direct Bolt-On Replacement for Stock Component — This is a plug-and-play upgrade that requires no modification to your existing DR10, SR10, or RB10 chassis, making installation straightforward and allowing drivers to quickly test the performance improvements.
- Factory Team Precision Engineering — Manufactured to the exacting standards Team Associated applies across their competition-grade components, ensuring consistent quality and reliable performance across every unit produced.
- Weight Distribution Tuning Capability — Use this bulkhead option in combination with the heavier brass alternative (45g) to dial in the exact weight distribution characteristics your RC drift car needs for specific track conditions or driving preferences.
Technical Performance
The DR10 FT Aluminium Front Bulkhead represents the pinnacle of modern RC drift car component engineering. At just 14 grams, this aluminium piece achieves the perfect balance between structural rigidity and minimal weight penalty. The 25-degree geometry has been precisely calculated through Factory Team development to optimise steering response during acceleration phases whilst maintaining stability through corners. Unlike generic plastic bulkheads or overly heavy alternatives, this component addresses the specific needs of competitive drift drivers who require predictable, tuneable handling characteristics. The aluminium material offers superior durability compared to plastic injection moulded alternatives, resisting impact damage and fatigue cracking that can occur during intensive racing sessions. For RC car enthusiasts in the UK seeking to upgrade their ready to run or kit-built drift machines, this bulkhead provides measurable improvements in front-end response and weight transfer characteristics that translate directly to better lap times and more consistent drifting performance across the entire track.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this bulkhead work on my DR10, SR10 or RB10? — Yes, the Team Associated DR10 FT Aluminium Front Bulkhead is engineered as a direct bolt-on replacement for the stock #91359 component found on all three models: the DR10, SR10, and RB10. No modification to the chassis is required for installation.
- What is the difference between the 14g aluminium and the 45g brass option? — The aluminium bulkhead at 14g offers a lightweight setup that maximises responsiveness and reduces rotational inertia, making it ideal for high-grip track surfaces where steering precision is paramount. The heavier brass alternative at 45g provides greater weight forward, which can improve front-end stability and steering feel on low-grip surfaces or for drivers who prefer a more planted front-end geometry. Choose based on track conditions and your personal driving preferences.
- How does this bulkhead improve my RC drift car's performance? — The 25-degree geometry and precise weight distribution directly impact how your RC car handles during acceleration and mid-turn steering inputs. By adding more steering on acceleration and preventing front wheel lift, the bulkhead provides the control and predictability that competitive drift drivers demand when executing precise racing lines and consistent drifting techniques.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is a performance-oriented component designed with competitive drift drivers in mind, any DR10, SR10 or RB10 owner can benefit from the improved durability and handling characteristics it provides. Beginners will appreciate the robustness of aluminium construction, though the performance benefits are maximised by drivers with intermediate to advanced skills who can exploit the improved steering response.
- Can I use this as an upgrade to a ready to run RC drift car? — Absolutely. Whether you own a ready to run DR10 or a kit-built version, this bulkhead represents an excellent upgrade investment that will improve durability and performance immediately upon installation. It's one of the most impactful bolt-on upgrades available for these platform chassis.
- What tools do I need to install this bulkhead? — As a direct replacement component, installation requires only basic RC car tools such as hex keys or an Allen wrench suitable for the mounting fasteners on your specific model. Consult your chassis manual for the correct sizes and torque specifications.
