CVA bones, also known as constant velocity axle bones, are critical drivetrain components that transmit power from the differential to the wheels whilst allowing for suspension movement and steering angles. The 92.5mm length specified in this part number is engineered for specific Team Associated RC10T7 platforms that require this exact measurement, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance characteristics. The HD (heavy-duty) designation indicates these components have been reinforced and engineered to withstand increased stress and wear, making them ideal for high-performance applications, competitive racing environments, and intensive bashing sessions where standard components might struggle.

Team Associated has built a reputation in the RC hobby for producing high-quality, precision-engineered components that meet the exacting standards of professional and amateur racers alike. Technical Performance

The Team Associated RC10T7 HD CVA Bones 92.5mm represent precision-engineered drivetrain components manufactured to the exacting standards that competitive off-road racing demands. Heavy-duty construction throughout these bones ensures they can withstand the repetitive stress cycles, impacts, and forces generated during aggressive driving, jumps, and competitive racing scenarios. The 92.5mm length specification is critical to maintaining proper geometric relationships within the RC10T7 platform, affecting everything from suspension articulation to drivetrain efficiency and handling characteristics. Constant velocity axle technology ensures smooth power delivery across the full range of suspension and steering movement, which is particularly important during high-speed cornering where suspension compression and steering angle changes are most dramatic. The engineering tolerances and material specifications of these HD-variant bones represent Team Associated's commitment to performance reliability, making them an essential component for racers who understand that drivetrain failure often determines the difference between victory and disappointment. These components are suitable for both casual recreational driving and serious competitive racing applications where durability and performance consistency are paramount.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a CVA bone and why does my RC10T7 need it? — CVA bones are constant velocity axle components that transmit power from your RC buggy's differential to the wheels whilst allowing full suspension articulation and steering movement. The 92.5mm length in this part number is specifically engineered for Team Associated RC10T7 platforms, and having functioning CVA bones is essential for drivetrain performance, handling consistency, and overall vehicle reliability during racing.
  • How do I know if I need to replace my CVA bones? — You may need replacement CVA bones if you experience excessive vibration during acceleration, clicking or popping sounds from the drivetrain under load, uneven power delivery, or if you're experiencing poor handling characteristics. Wear and tear from competitive racing or high-impact bashing will eventually necessitate replacement, and upgrading to heavy-duty variants like these HD bones is a smart preventative maintenance choice for serious racers.
  • Are these HD CVA bones compatible with my Team Associated RC10T7? — Yes, these bones are engineered specifically for Team Associated RC10T7 platforms that specify 92.5mm CVA bones. The HD designation indicates heavy-duty construction, making them an excellent upgrade choice even for standard RC10T7 configurations if you're looking for improved durability and longevity in competitive or intensive bashing applications.
  • What makes the HD variant different from standard CVA bones? — The HD (heavy-duty) designation indicates these components feature reinforced construction, enhanced material specifications, and engineering optimisations designed to withstand increased stress and wear. This makes them ideal for competitive racing, high-impact driving, and intensive use where standard bones might experience premature wear or failure, extending the service life of your drivetrain components between maintenance intervals.
  • How often should I inspect or replace CVA bones? — Regular inspection after each racing session or intensive driving session is recommended, particularly if you're competing at high levels or bashing in rough terrain. Most racers replace CVA bones seasonally or after high-mileage use, though the heavy-duty construction of these HD variants typically extends service intervals compared to standard components.
  • What tools do I need to install these CVA bones? — Installation typically requires standard RC car tools including hex wrenches, screwdrivers, and possibly a small hammer or mallet. Detailed installation instructions should be consulted in your RC10T7 manual, and the RC Model Shop team are available to provide installation guidance if you have specific questions about your particular configuration.
