Technical Performance
The Team Associated RC10T7 FT Side Rails represent precision engineering in miniature form. These carbon side rails are manufactured to exacting specifications that meet the demands of competitive 1/10 scale 2WD off-road buggy racing. The carbon material offers several critical advantages: it provides excellent rigidity to prevent chassis flex during aggressive cornering and acceleration, it maintains dimensional stability even under the stress of repeated impacts and landing from jumps, and it weighs significantly less than alternative materials, which helps preserve the carefully tuned weight distribution of your RC10T7. The carbon construction also delivers superior durability compared to plastic alternatives, meaning these rails will withstand the punishment of both indoor and outdoor racing surfaces whilst maintaining their structural integrity. For builders and racers who understand that every component contributes to overall performance, the choice to use genuine Factory Team carbon side rails is an investment in consistency, reliability and proven performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the RC10T7 and why would I need replacement side rails? — The RC10T7 is Team Associated's 1/10 scale 2WD buggy platform, renowned for competitive off-road racing. Side rails are structural components that form part of the chassis frame. Over time, they can become damaged from crashes, worn from normal use, or bent from impacts. Having genuine replacement rails on hand ensures you can quickly get back to racing, and many racers keep spare sets to swap components between different chassis configurations or maintenance intervals.
- Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, absolutely. These are official Team Associated RC10T7 FT side rails with the genuine part number AS71202. They are manufactured to Factory Team specifications and represent the exact components used in competition setups. Buying from authorised retailers like RC Model Shop guarantees authenticity and protection against counterfeit parts that could compromise your RC buggy's performance.
- What scale is the RC10T7 and is this suitable for beginners? — The RC10T7 is a 1/10 scale 2WD off-road buggy primarily designed for experienced racers and intermediate to advanced hobbyists rather than absolute beginners. These side rails are replacement spare parts, not a complete RTR system, so they're specifically for owners who already have an RC10T7 that needs maintenance or upgrades. If you're new to RC cars and considering purchasing an RC10T7, we'd recommend starting with a ready-to-run RTR package and building your skills before investing in aftermarket upgrades.
- How do I know if my RC10T7 needs new side rails? — You should consider replacing side rails if you notice visible cracks, significant bending, warping, or if the rails no longer sit flush against other chassis components. Even small damage can affect handling and suspension geometry, so if you've had a major crash or your RC10T7 isn't handling as expected, inspecting and potentially replacing the side rails is a sensible troubleshooting step.
- Will these side rails fit my RC10T7? — Yes, as genuine Team Associated RC10T7 FT components with part number AS71202, these rails are designed specifically for the RC10T7 platform and will provide proper fit without modification. The part number ensures compatibility across RC10T7 variants within the platform.
- What's the difference between carbon and plastic side rails? — Carbon side rails offer superior rigidity, better durability under impact, enhanced dimensional stability, and lower weight compared to plastic alternatives. Whilst plastic rails are adequate for casual bashing, serious racers and competitors choose carbon because it provides consistency, longevity, and contributes to the precision handling characteristics that make the RC10T7 such a capable racing platform.
