Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Team Associated AS6264 rear turnbuckle compatible with my RC car? — The AS6264 is designed for Team Associated RC vehicles that specify M3 thread and 35mm length for rear suspension applications. Check your vehicle's manual or parts diagram to confirm compatibility before ordering. It's suitable for applications including the TC3, SC10 4x4, RC10 Classic, RC10 Worlds, TC7.2, B74.1, and RC10CC Classic models.
- What is a rear turnbuckle used for on an RC car? — A rear turnbuckle is a precision linkage adjustment component that connects suspension components and allows you to fine-tune camber and toe angles at the rear of your vehicle. By adjusting the turnbuckle length, you can dial in the exact suspension geometry needed for optimal handling characteristics on different track surfaces and driving conditions.
- Do I need special tools to adjust this turnbuckle? — Turnbuckles are designed to be adjusted by hand or with basic RC tools. Most adjustments can be made by gripping each end and rotating to lengthen or shorten the component. Always make small adjustments and test-drive your RC car after each change to evaluate the handling impact.
- Why should I use genuine Team Associated spare parts? — Genuine OEM components like the AS6264 are engineered to exact specifications by the manufacturer and guarantee perfect fitment, correct suspension geometry, and the reliability expected from Team Associated quality. Using authentic spares ensures your RC car performs as the engineers intended and maintains the handling characteristics documented in setup guides.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst the turnbuckle itself is simple to install, suspension geometry adjustment requires some RC knowledge and understanding of how camber and toe angles affect handling. Beginners should consult their vehicle's manual and consider learning about suspension tuning before making adjustments, or seek advice from experienced RC enthusiasts at local clubs.
- How often should I replace or inspect my rear turnbuckle? — Inspect your turnbuckle regularly for signs of wear, damage, or bending, particularly after crashes or intensive use. If the threads become stripped or the component is bent, replacement is straightforward. Regular inspection as part of routine maintenance ensures your suspension geometry remains correct.
