Key Features
- Genuine Associated OEM Component — These are authentic factory-produced springs manufactured by Associated, ensuring they meet the exact specifications and quality standards that the CR12 platform requires for optimal suspension performance and reliability.
- 0.8mm Spring Rate Specification — The 0.8mm measurement defines the spring's stiffness characteristics, making this a useful alternative when you're refreshing worn springs or tailoring your suspension feel to suit specific track conditions, weather, or driving preferences.
- Easy Part Number Identification — The clearly marked AS41025 part number allows you to quickly and confidently verify compatibility with your CR12 model by referencing your manual, exploded views, and online resources, eliminating any confusion about fitment.
- Smooth and Predictable Suspension Performance — These springs work together with your CR12's shock absorbers to maintain smooth, controlled suspension geometry throughout your model's travel range, ensuring consistent handling and predictable behaviour across different driving surfaces.
- Ideal for Routine Maintenance — Whether you're conducting seasonal servicing, rebuilding your model after heavy use, or preparing for competition, these springs provide the straightforward replacement option needed to restore your CR12 to peak performance.
- Suspension Tuning Flexibility — By selecting the 0.8mm specification, you have a practical alternative spring option available when exploring subtle suspension adjustments or comparing performance characteristics with different spring rates on your CR12.
Technical Performance
The Associated CR12 Shock Springs 0.8mm represent precision-engineered suspension components designed with the exacting tolerances required for reliable RC car performance. The 0.8mm specification refers to the spring's wire diameter and stiffness characteristics, which directly influence how your CR12's suspension responds to bumps, impacts, and directional changes during driving. Built to Associated's manufacturing standards, these springs are produced from high-quality steel materials that maintain consistent performance characteristics over extended periods of use. The spring rate affects your model's ride height, suspension stiffness, and overall handling balance—factors that become increasingly important when you're fine-tuning your CR12 for competitive racing or optimising comfort for casual driving sessions. Whether you're running your CR12 on carpet, tarmac, or outdoor surfaces, replacing worn springs with genuine OEM alternatives ensures your suspension geometry remains true and your model responds predictably to driver inputs. The 0.8mm springs work in concert with your CR12's shock absorbers and dampers to create a complete suspension system that manages weight transfer, maintains consistent ground contact, and delivers the stable, responsive handling characteristics that this platform is known for across the UK RC car community.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the 0.8mm specification and why does it matter for my CR12? — The 0.8mm specification refers to the wire diameter of the spring, which determines its stiffness and how it responds to suspension loads. This measurement is critical because it affects your model's ride height, handling balance, and how the suspension absorbs impacts. If you're looking to replace worn springs or adjust your CR12's suspension feel, selecting the correct spring rate specification ensures compatibility and optimal performance.
- How often should I replace the shock springs on my CR12? — Shock springs gradually lose their original tension and performance characteristics through regular use. If you're running your CR12 frequently—whether for racing or casual bashing—it's advisable to inspect your springs regularly and replace them when they appear worn, compressed, or damaged. Keeping spare springs in your pit box ensures you're always prepared for maintenance sessions and rebuilds.
- Are these genuine Associated parts? — Yes, these are authentic OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) springs produced by Associated, the original equipment manufacturer. The clearly marked part number AS41025 and barcode 784695410251 confirm authenticity, and using genuine components ensures your CR12 maintains its design specifications and performance characteristics.
- What suspension components do these springs work with? — These 0.8mm springs are designed as part of your CR12's complete shock absorber assembly, working in conjunction with your model's shocks, dampers, and suspension geometry. They support the overall suspension system that manages weight transfer and maintains stable handling across different driving surfaces and conditions.
- Can I use these springs with other Associated models? — These springs are specifically designed for the Associated CR12 platform. While suspension components sometimes share compatibility across related models, you should always verify fitment by consulting your model's manual, exploded diagrams, or contacting us directly before purchasing springs for other models.
- Will replacing my shock springs improve my CR12's performance? — Replacing worn springs can definitely restore your CR12 to its design performance level. If your current springs have lost tension through regular use, fresh springs will help restore proper suspension geometry, ride height, and handling consistency. Additionally, experimenting with the 0.8mm specification alongside other available rates allows you to fine-tune your suspension setup to suit specific track conditions or driving preferences.
