Overview

The Team Associated FT HD Titanium Ballstuds Short – 10mm (AS32098) are essential precision hardware components designed for RC enthusiasts who demand the highest quality from their setups. Manufactured under the prestigious Factory Team banner by Team Associated, these heavy-duty titanium ballstuds represent a compact solution for RC car builders and competitors across the UK who need reliable suspension and steering linkage components. Whether you're setting up a competition RC buggy, a track-focused 1/10 scale racer, or fine-tuning the geometry of your RC model, these ballstuds deliver the precision and durability that serious RC hobby builders expect from Factory Team components.

Ballstuds are critical connection points in any RC vehicle's suspension and steering system, and the quality of these hardware components directly impacts your model's handling characteristics, durability, and overall performance on the track or terrain. The short 10mm format provided by the AS32098 is specifically engineered for applications where a lower stack height is required, making these ballstuds ideal for builders working with tight suspension geometry or space-constrained RC setups. The titanium construction offers exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, ensuring that your RC car maintains optimal weight distribution whilst benefiting from components that can withstand the demanding forces generated during acceleration, cornering, and landing impacts.

RC Model Shop stocks genuine Team Associated parts, and these FT HD titanium ballstuds are a testament to the quality engineering that goes into Factory Team hardware. Available at competitive pricing with fast UK shipping, these ballstuds are the perfect addition to your RC spares collection, whether you're upgrading an existing model or building a new competition setup from the ground up.

Key Features

  • Factory Team HD Titanium Construction — These ballstuds are manufactured from heavy-duty titanium material, which provides superior strength compared to standard steel components whilst maintaining a lightweight profile, critical for precision RC setups where weight distribution and component durability directly impact handling and performance.
  • Short 10mm Format — The compact 10mm length is specifically designed for RC applications requiring a lower stack height in the suspension and steering linkage geometry, allowing builders to achieve specific ride heights and angles that standard-length ballstuds cannot accommodate.
  • Precision Engineering — Every Team Associated ballstud is manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring consistent geometry and eliminating play in suspension and steering connections that could lead to unpredictable handling or premature wear.
  • Suspension and Steering Compatibility — These ballstuds are commonly used throughout suspension arms and steering linkages, making them versatile components for maintaining precise RC car geometry where geometry matters for competitive performance and reliable handling characteristics.
  • Heavy-Duty Rating — Engineered to withstand the repeated impacts and directional forces typical of RC car racing and bashing, FT HD components are built to last through extended competition sessions and demanding terrain.
  • Direct Factory Team Heritage — As part of Team Associated's Factory Team lineup, these ballstuds carry the endorsement of one of the most respected names in competitive RC racing, ensuring you're purchasing components proven in real competition environments.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated FT HD Titanium Ballstuds Short – 10mm represent the pinnacle of ballstud engineering for precision RC applications. Titanium construction delivers exceptional material properties that make these components ideal for demanding RC car setups, offering a strength-to-weight ratio superior to standard steel ballstuds whilst keeping overall car weight to a minimum. The short 10mm length positions these ballstuds as specialised hardware for RC builders who require lower stack heights in their suspension geometry, a critical consideration for maintaining optimal ground clearance and suspension travel limits. Every ballstud is precision-manufactured to tight tolerances, ensuring smooth articulation in ballstud sockets and eliminating unwanted play that could compromise steering response or suspension behaviour. The heavy-duty rating of these components means they're engineered to survive the extreme forces generated during high-speed cornering, jump landings, and aggressive driving typical of RC car racing across UK tracks and off-road terrain. Whether you're building a competition 1/10 scale RC buggy, a short-course truck, or any precision RC car model, these ballstuds provide the hardware foundation necessary for consistent, predictable handling and longevity. Team Associated's Factory Team reputation is built on components that have been proven in international RC racing competitions, and these ballstuds carry that same engineering excellence into your own RC setup.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are ballstuds used for in RC cars and what is their importance? — Ballstuds are the connection points between your RC car's suspension arms and steering linkages, serving as the articulation points that allow suspension movement and steering input. The quality of these components directly impacts your vehicle's handling geometry, steering response, and overall performance, which is why Factory Team components like the AS32098 are worth investing in for serious RC builders.
  • Why choose titanium ballstuds over standard steel components? — Titanium offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to steel, meaning you get the durability and impact resistance your RC car needs without adding unnecessary weight to the chassis. For competition RC racing and precision setups across UK tracks, this weight saving translates to improved acceleration, handling response, and overall performance.
  • What does the 10mm short length mean and when should I use it? — The 10mm short format indicates a compact ballstud length designed for applications where lower stack height is required in your suspension and steering geometry. You should use these ballstuds when your RC car's manual or setup sheet specifically calls for 10mm short ballstuds, or when you're designing a suspension geometry with tight clearances or specific ride height requirements.
  • Are these ballstuds compatible with my RC car? — Team Associated FT HD Titanium Ballstuds are designed for RC models that specify a short 10mm ballstud of this type. Always consult your RC vehicle's manual or official setup sheet before installation to confirm that these ballstuds match your model's exact requirements, as using incorrect ballstud lengths can compromise suspension geometry and handling.
  • What makes Factory Team components different from standard Team Associated parts? — Factory Team components are engineered to competition standards and have been proven in international RC racing environments. They feature tighter tolerances, premium materials like the titanium used in the AS32098, and enhanced durability compared to standard product lines, making them the choice of serious competitors and dedicated RC enthusiasts.
  • How should I install and maintain these ballstuds? — Installation follows standard RC car assembly procedures, typically involving insertion into ballstud sockets and secure fastening. Maintenance includes regular inspection for wear or damage, and cleaning after muddy or wet terrain use. Always follow your vehicle manual's specific installation instructions and torque specifications.
  • Are these ballstuds suitable for beginners? — Whilst ballstuds are essential components for all RC cars regardless of experience level, the Factory Team HD titanium ballstuds represent a premium product choice. Beginners can certainly use them, and they offer superior longevity and performance, though entry-level RC models may come equipped with standard ballstuds initially; these make an excellent upgrade as your skills and investment in RC hobby progresses.
