Keeping spare suspension components on hand is a hallmark of serious RC car enthusiasts, and these mounts are an essential addition to any TC8 owner's parts inventory.
Key Features
- Team Associated OEM Component — These are genuine manufacturer parts produced to exact Team Associated specifications, ensuring compatibility and performance that aftermarket alternatives cannot guarantee. Using genuine spares maintains the integrity of your TC8's suspension geometry.
- Rear Suspension Application — Specifically engineered for the rear suspension system of the TC8, these mounts position the shock absorber correctly to maintain proper suspension travel and vehicle dynamics during cornering, acceleration and braking.
- Standard Fitment Part — Classified as a standard fitment component, these shock mounts are the factory specification for the TC8 platform, meaning they have been proven through extensive racing to deliver the performance characteristics the chassis is designed around.
- Wear Item Replacement — Over time and with use, shock mounts can wear or crack, affecting suspension performance. These replacement mounts allow you to refresh your suspension system and restore original handling characteristics.
- Race-Ready Restoration — Whether damaged through aggressive driving or worn through regular use, replacing these mounts is essential for maintaining a competitive edge and ensuring your TC8 performs consistently in racing conditions.
- Clear Part Identification — The explicit part number (AS32006) removes any ambiguity when ordering spares, ensuring you receive the correct component every time and avoiding expensive ordering mistakes.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated TC8 Rear Shock Mounts represent precision engineering in suspension geometry. These components are manufactured to exact specifications that determine how the shock absorber connects to the chassis, which directly influences suspension travel, ride height, and the platform's overall handling balance. The shock mounts are critical to maintaining the correct suspension angles (camber and anti-squat geometry) that Team Associated engineers calibrated into the TC8 platform. When shock mounts wear or break, the suspension geometry changes, affecting cornering grip, acceleration traction, and braking stability. By replacing them with genuine AS32006 mounts, you restore the suspension to its original design specifications. The TC8 is a proven 1/10 touring car platform that has earned respect in the RC racing community worldwide, and maintaining its suspension components with OEM parts ensures it continues to deliver the predictable handling and performance characteristics that make it competitive. These mounts work in conjunction with the TC8's suspension system to provide the precise control that separates winning setups from inconsistent performers. For UK racers running club events, regional competitions, or practice sessions, maintaining suspension integrity through quality spares like these shock mounts is fundamental to achieving repeatable lap times and vehicle reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the Team Associated TC8 and is it still relevant for RC racing in 2024? — The Team Associated TC8 is a legendary 1/10 touring car platform that has remained competitive in club racing and casual RC car UK use for many years. While newer platforms have been released, the TC8 maintains a devoted following and is still raced competitively. These shock mounts ensure your TC8 performs at its best whether you're racing or bashing.
- How do I know if my TC8 shock mounts need replacing? — Signs of worn or damaged shock mounts include uneven ride height, inconsistent handling characteristics, visible cracks or deformation in the mounts, or excessive suspension movement that seems uncontrolled. If your TC8 has taken a hard crash or has been raced extensively, inspection and replacement of these mounts is recommended to maintain performance.
- Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, the AS32006 is the genuine part number for Team Associated TC8 rear shock mounts. Purchasing from authorised retailers like RC Model Shop ensures you receive authentic OEM components rather than inferior copies or third-party alternatives.
- What other TC8 spares should I keep in stock? — As a dedicated racer or enthusiast, maintaining an inventory of high-wear items is recommended. Common spares include shock absorbers, suspension arms, bearings, and bushings. Having these components on hand allows you to maintain your TC8 between races and keep downtime to a minimum.
- Can these mounts be used on other Team Associated models? — These mounts are specifically designed for the TC8. While other Team Associated touring cars may share similar suspension designs, using parts outside their intended platform can result in poor fitment and handling. Always verify fitment before ordering spares for different models.
- Is professional installation required? — If you have experience working on RC cars, installation of shock mounts is straightforward. However, if you're unfamiliar with suspension work, seeking guidance from experienced RC enthusiasts or visiting a local club is recommended to ensure proper installation and alignment.
