This ball bearing is part of Team Associated's Factory Team (FT) range, meaning it meets the exacting standards required for professional-level RC racing. The 4x7x2.5mm size makes it ideally suited for the TC7 and TC7.1 platforms, two of the most popular 1/10 touring car chassis available to UK RC enthusiasts. Low-friction operation is crucial in competitive RC racing, where every millisecond counts and responsiveness can mean the difference between victory and defeat. This FT ball bearing delivers the smooth rotation needed to keep your car performing at its best, lap after lap. It's the kind of component that doesn't seem glamorous until you need it—then it becomes absolutely essential to keeping your RC car UK competition-ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this bearing suitable for my Team Associated TC7 or TC7.1? — Yes, this bearing is specifically designed as a Factory Team component for both the TC7 and TC7.1 platforms. The part number AS31732 ensures you're getting the exact OEM specification bearing that Team Associated engineered for these chassis, making it a perfect replacement or maintenance upgrade.
  • What makes a ball bearing better than a bushing in RC cars? — Ball bearings offer significantly lower friction than bushings, which means less power loss in your drivetrain, smoother rotation, and improved responsiveness. In competitive RC racing where every advantage counts, ball bearings deliver faster acceleration, better cornering, and longer component lifespan due to reduced wear.
  • How often should I replace my RC car bearings? — With regular maintenance and care, quality ball bearings like this Factory Team component can last a long time. However, if you notice grinding sounds, grinding resistance, or if bearings have taken impacts or water exposure, replacement is recommended to maintain optimal performance and prevent damage to surrounding components.
  • Can I use this bearing in other Team Associated models? — The 4x7x2.5mm size is used across multiple Team Associated touring platforms including the TC7.2, B74.1, B6.4D, B6.4, B74.2D, B74.2, B84, T7, SC7, and B84 Classic models, making this a versatile spare to stock if you run multiple Associated vehicles.
  • Is this an original Team Associated part or a copy? — This is a genuine Factory Team (FT) original part manufactured by Team Associated, not an aftermarket copy. The part number AS31732 with barcode 784695317321 confirms authenticity, ensuring you receive the exact quality and specifications that professional racers depend on.
  • What should I do if I notice my RC car isn't running smoothly? — Worn or damaged bearings are often a cause of poor performance. If you're experiencing resistance, grinding, or if your car feels sluggish despite a fresh battery, replacing bearings with this genuine Factory Team component could restore your car to peak performance and help identify whether bearings were the limiting factor.
