Overview

Team Associated M2.5 x 8 BHCS screws are essential spare parts for RC enthusiasts and hobbyists across the UK. Whether you're maintaining your RC car, buggy, truck or other RC models, having a reliable supply of metric fasteners is crucial for keeping your equipment in top condition. These metric screws are supplied in a convenient pack of ten, making them ideal for replenishing your spares box or replacing worn fixings wherever M2.5 x 8 BHCS specification screws are required. As an authorised Team Associated retailer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine fasteners that meet the exact specifications needed for your RC hobby projects.

BHCS stands for Button Head Cap Screw, a design that features a rounded, low-profile head which sits flush or slightly proud of surfaces. This style of fastening is widely used across RC vehicles because the button head design reduces snag points and allows for cleaner, more professional assembly. The M2.5 x 8 size makes these screws suitable for a vast range of Team Associated RC models, from their popular TC and B-series platforms to numerous other applications within RC and general hobby projects. If you're a serious RC car UK enthusiast or weekend basher, keeping spare fasteners on hand ensures you can make quick repairs and get back to racing or bashing without lengthy downtime.

These genuine Team Associated screws (part number AS31521) represent excellent value for money and are the straightforward solution when you need to replace damaged fixings or build up your spare parts collection. Unlike generic fasteners, using the correct OEM specification ensures perfect fitment and compatibility with your RC models.

Key Features

  • Metric M2.5 x 8 specification — These screws conform to the M2.5 x 8 BHCS standard, ensuring precise compatibility with Team Associated RC models and other applications that specify this exact size, eliminating the risk of using incorrect fasteners.
  • Button Head Cap Screw design — The rounded button head profile is specifically engineered to work seamlessly with RC vehicles, providing a low-profile appearance and reducing interference with moving parts and suspension systems.
  • Pack of 10 units — Each pack contains ten individual screws, providing enough spares for multiple repairs or as part of a comprehensive spares box setup for UK RC enthusiasts who prefer to keep common sizes in stock.
  • Genuine Team Associated part — Supplied under the official Team Associated part number AS31521, these are authentic OEM fasteners rather than generic alternatives, guaranteeing quality and proper fitment.
  • Universal RC application — Suitable for use across a broad range of RC car, buggy, truck and crawler models, as well as general hobby projects that require metric M2.5 x 8 fasteners, making these versatile spares to have on hand.
  • Easy spares replenishment — A straightforward way to replace worn or lost fixings without needing to source larger quantities or wait for complete rebuild kits when you only need replacement fasteners.

Technical Performance

Team Associated M2.5 x 8 BHCS screws are manufactured to exacting standards using materials and specifications that meet the demands of competitive and recreational RC use. The metric M2.5 diameter and 8mm length combination is precisely calculated to provide secure fastening across numerous assembly points on RC vehicles without over-threading or creating assembly problems. The button head cap screw design distributes clamping force more evenly than standard pan head or socket head alternatives, which is particularly important in RC applications where repeated impacts, vibrations and directional forces are commonplace. The BHCS designation ensures the screws feature the correct head profile, socket size and thread pitch to work harmoniously with Team Associated chassis designs and suspension components. Whether you're building an RC short course truck, competition buggy, crawler or general hobby model, having genuine metric fasteners of the correct specification prevents compatibility issues and ensures your RC car builds remain reliable and safe during operation. The metric specification makes these screws equally suitable for non-RC hobby projects that require standard M2.5 x 8 fasteners.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does BHCS mean and why does it matter for my RC car? — BHCS stands for Button Head Cap Screw. The button head design features a rounded, low-profile cap that sits flush with or slightly proud of surfaces. This style is preferred in RC applications because it reduces snag points on moving parts, provides a cleaner appearance, and works seamlessly with Team Associated chassis and suspension designs. Using the correct fastener specification ensures your RC model assembles properly and performs reliably.
  • What Team Associated RC models use M2.5 x 8 BHCS screws? — The M2.5 x 8 specification is used across numerous Team Associated platforms including the TC6.1, TC6.2, T5M, B5, B5M, B6.1, B6.2, B6.3, B6.4, B74, B74.1, B74.2, RC8 series vehicles, and many others. These screws are also suitable for general hobby projects requiring metric M2.5 x 8 fasteners.
  • How many screws are in each pack? — Each pack contains 10 individual M2.5 x 8 BHCS screws, providing sufficient spares for repairs, replacements or building up your spares collection as an RC enthusiast.
  • Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, these screws are supplied under the official Team Associated part number AS31521, confirming they are authentic OEM fasteners rather than generic alternatives. Buying genuine parts ensures proper fitment and compatibility with your RC models.
  • Can I use these screws for non-RC projects? — Yes, the M2.5 x 8 BHCS specification is a standard metric fastener size used across many hobby and general applications beyond RC cars. If your project requires this exact metric specification, these screws will work perfectly.
  • Why should I keep spare M2.5 x 8 BHCS screws in my spares box? — RC vehicles experience repeated impacts, vibrations and stress during operation. Fasteners can become loose, stripped or lost during crashes and repairs. Keeping a pack of genuine M2.5 x 8 BHCS screws ensures you can make quick repairs without delays, keeping your RC car ready for action whenever you want to bash or race.
  • What is the difference between BHCS and other screw types? — Button Head Cap Screws (BHCS) feature a rounded, low-profile head compared to standard pan head or socket head alternatives. This design is superior for RC applications because it minimises snag points on moving parts, distributes clamping force more evenly, and provides a professional appearance. BHCS fasteners are the standard choice for premium RC vehicles.
