Technical Performance
The Team Associated SR7 FT Servo Saver Arm represents precision engineering tailored to meet the demanding requirements of 1/7 scale RC competition and high-performance bashing. Constructed from premium blue anodised aluminium, this component combines lightweight design with exceptional rigidity, ensuring that your steering input remains crisp and responsive whilst minimising the transmission of impact forces to your servo. The SR7 itself is Team Associated's largest and most powerful RC car ever created, developed in partnership with Hoonigan and designed from the ground up by Area 51 Design Works engineers. This means every component, including this servo saver arm, has been engineered to withstand the extreme forces generated by high-speed driving, aggressive steering inputs, and the occasional hard impact. The aluminium construction provides superior corrosion resistance compared to plastic alternatives, making this servo saver arm suitable for driving in various UK weather conditions, from damp grass tracks to outdoor concrete courses. The FT designation confirms this part has been tested and approved as a direct fit for the SR7 chassis, with no modifications or shimming required during installation. For RC enthusiasts in the UK who demand reliability and authenticity, this genuine Team Associated part delivers the performance and durability expected from a component designed for 1/7 scale high-performance driving.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this servo saver arm compatible with my Team Associated SR7? — Yes, this is an official Team Associated part specifically engineered for the SR7 chassis. The FT designation confirms it is referenced in the SR7 vehicle manual and is the correct servo saver arm for your model. Always verify the AS26072 part number on your order to ensure you have the correct component.
- What is the purpose of a servo saver arm on an RC car? — A servo saver arm protects your steering servo from damage by absorbing impacts and reducing stress during aggressive driving, jumps, and collisions. Without a properly functioning servo saver arm, the powerful steering forces generated during hard cornering and impacts can damage your servo, requiring expensive repairs or replacement. This aluminium servo saver arm helps extend the life of your servo whilst maintaining responsive, accurate steering.
- Can I use this servo saver arm with other RC cars? — No, this servo saver arm is specifically designed for the Team Associated SR7 and should not be used with other RC models. Using non-compatible steering components could result in poor handling, misalignment, or damage to your servo and chassis. Always consult your vehicle manual to identify the correct parts for your specific RC car.
- Why is this servo saver arm made from aluminium rather than plastic? — Aluminium offers superior strength-to-weight ratio compared to plastic, meaning you get stronger performance without adding unnecessary weight to your RC car's steering assembly. The blue anodised aluminium finish also provides excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring your servo saver arm remains durable and reliable through many UK driving seasons. Additionally, aluminium components maintain their dimensional integrity better than plastic over time, ensuring consistent steering feel and accuracy.
- Is installation straightforward for someone new to RC car maintenance? — Yes, the servo saver arm is a direct replacement component that requires basic RC car maintenance skills to install. Consult your SR7 vehicle manual for step-by-step installation instructions. If you are unfamiliar with RC car maintenance, our experienced team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance and support to help you complete the installation correctly.
- How often should I replace my servo saver arm? — The frequency of replacement depends on how frequently you drive and the intensity of your driving style. Aggressive bashing and racing will wear components faster than casual recreational driving. Inspect your servo saver arm regularly for cracks, bending, or signs of wear. If you notice damage or degradation in steering response, replacement is recommended to maintain optimal performance and servo protection.
