Overview

The Team Associated M3 X 12 Flat Head Hex Screws (AS25203) are essential fastening components for RC enthusiasts, hobbyists, and competitive builders across the UK. Whether you're maintaining your RC car, undertaking repairs, or embarking on custom builds, these precision-engineered screws deliver the reliability and consistency that Team Associated is renowned for. The flat head (countersunk) design ensures a low-profile fit, making them ideal for applications where aesthetics and a clean, tidy appearance matter as much as functionality.

These M3 x 12 hex screws are suitable for a wide variety of Team Associated RC models, from the classic RC8 series through to modern platforms like the B6, B64, RC10, TC6 and beyond. Whether you're an experienced RC competitor, a weekend basher, or someone just discovering the world of RC hobbies in the UK, having spare M3 hardware on hand is essential for keeping your RC projects in top condition. The hex drive design makes installation straightforward, and the countersunk head profile helps maintain the sleek lines of your RC build without proud fastener heads catching on obstacles or creating drag.

Sold in convenient packs of 10, these screws offer excellent value and ensure you always have replacements ready when you need them. Team Associated's commitment to quality means you can trust these fasteners to perform reliably, whether you're fine-tuning suspension geometry, securing body panels, or assembling custom components on your RC model. As a trusted UK RC retailer, RC Model Shop stocks genuine Team Associated spare parts to keep your RC cars, buggies, trucks and crawlers running smoothly.

Key Features

  • M3 Thread Size — The M3 metric thread specification ensures perfect compatibility with Team Associated RC models and other standard RC applications, providing reliable fastening without cross-threading or stripping issues.
  • 12mm Length — The precisely measured 12mm length is ideal for securing panels, brackets, and assemblies on RC models where longer fasteners would prove too obtrusive or interfere with moving components.
  • Flat Head Design — The countersunk head profile sits flush with mounting surfaces, creating a clean, professional appearance and eliminating proud fastener heads that could snag on terrain or catch wind during high-speed runs.
  • Hex Drive — The hexagonal socket design provides superior grip compared to slotted or Phillips drives, allowing you to apply consistent torque without slipping and risking damage to the fastener or surrounding components.
  • Pack of 10 — Each pack contains 10 individual screws, providing adequate spares for maintenance, repairs, and building multiple assemblies without needing to reorder frequently.
  • Team Associated Engineering — Engineered to Team Associated's exacting standards, these screws are manufactured to precise tolerances ensuring perfect fit and reliability across all compatible models.
  • Low-Profile Aesthetic — The countersunk design maintains the sleek lines of your RC model, contributing to both form and function without unnecessary visual clutter.
  • Universal RC Compatibility — Whilst designed for Team Associated models, these M3 x 12 hex screws are compatible with numerous RC platforms requiring this specification, making them valuable for any RC enthusiast's spares box.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated M3 X 12 Flat Head Hex Screws represent precision engineering at its finest. Manufactured to exacting specifications, these fasteners are engineered from hardened steel to withstand the vibrations, impacts, and environmental stresses that RC vehicles encounter during operation. The M3 metric thread is rolled to precise tolerances, ensuring smooth installation and removal without cross-threading, while the hexagonal socket accepts standard hex keys for reliable, non-slip engagement. The countersunk head design eliminates the proud fastener profile that could interfere with body panels, suspension components, or other RC assemblies. Whether you're building a competitive RC buggy, maintaining a stadium truck for weekend bashing, or restoring a classic RC8 platform, these screws deliver the consistency and reliability that discerning RC enthusiasts demand. The 12mm length is optimised for mounting brackets, panel retention, and assembly work on RC models ranging from 1/10-scale buggies through to larger platforms. Each pack provides ten individual screws, sufficient for typical maintenance and repair work, though competitive builders and serious hobbyists often keep multiple packs in their spares collection. The hex drive design is superior to traditional Phillips or slot drives, reducing the risk of camming out and fastener damage. These screws have been used across Team Associated's extensive model range including the SC10, SC10 4x4, RC8 series, RC8B3, RC8B4, RC8T series, TC6 platform, T6 and T7 models, B5M, B6 series through B6.4D, B7 and B74 lines, and contemporary designs like the Apex 2 Hoonicorn and Rival MT series, demonstrating their versatility and proven performance across decades of RC evolution.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these screws compatible with my Team Associated RC model? — The M3 x 12 specification makes these screws suitable for a wide range of Team Associated models including the RC8, RC8B, RC8B3, RC8B4, RC8T series, SC10, SC8, TC6, T6, T7, B5M, B6, B64, B7, B74, Apex 2, Rival MT8, Rival MT10, DR10, and many other platforms. Check your specific model's documentation to confirm M3 x 12 compatibility, though these are standard sizes used throughout the Team Associated range.
  • What does the countersunk head design actually mean for my RC build? — Countersunk (flat) heads sit flush with the mounting surface rather than sitting proud like button heads or cap screws. This design keeps your RC model's profile clean and tidy, prevents the screw head from catching on obstacles during off-road driving, and contributes to better aerodynamics on high-speed platforms. It's the preferred choice for body panel retention and visible assemblies where appearance matters.
  • How many screws should I buy for my RC car repairs? — This pack contains 10 screws, which is suitable for typical maintenance tasks, repairs, or a single assembly project. Competitive RC racers and serious hobbyists often purchase multiple packs to maintain a well-stocked spares collection, ensuring they never run short during important builds or track days.
  • What tool do I need to install these screws? — The hexagonal socket requires a hex key (Allen key) of the appropriate size. Team Associated specifies the exact hex size for this fastener, so consult your model's manual or contact our knowledgeable team at RC Model Shop to confirm the correct hex key size for your particular application.
  • Can I use these on non-Team Associated RC models? — Whilst these screws are engineered specifically for Team Associated models, the M3 x 12 metric specification means they may be compatible with other RC platforms and applications requiring this size. However, we recommend confirming compatibility with your specific model before installation.
  • Why should I buy genuine Team Associated spares instead of cheaper alternatives? — Genuine Team Associated fasteners are engineered to the same exacting specifications as the original vehicle components, ensuring perfect fit, reliable performance, and longevity. Counterfeit or low-quality alternatives risk cross-threading, stripping, or failure during use, potentially damaging your valuable RC model. Investing in genuine spares protects your investment.
