Overview
The Team Associated Reflex 14B/14T FT Shock Bodies 10x19mm Aluminium (AS21552) are genuine OEM replacement components designed specifically for the Reflex 14B and 14T FT buggy platforms. These aluminium shock bodies represent essential maintenance parts for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand precision engineering and authentic Team Associated components. Whether you're a competitive racer running your Reflex at the track or a dedicated hobbyist maintaining your RC car UK collection at home, these shock bodies ensure your suspension system performs at its peak.
As a dedicated RC car UK retailer, we recognise that quality suspension components are fundamental to responsive handling, consistent performance, and long-term reliability. The Reflex 14 series has established itself as a benchmark in 1/10 scale buggy racing, and maintaining that performance standard requires genuine parts. These shock bodies are the perfect choice when servicing, rebuilding, or refreshing worn suspension components during routine maintenance cycles. They're equally valuable for racers building backup vehicles or keeping essential spares on hand for competition season.
Constructed from durable aluminium material, these 10x19mm shock bodies offer the lightweight rigidity essential for consistent suspension geometry and responsive handling characteristics. Compatible with both the 14B (2WD) and 14T FT (4WD) variants, they represent an economical way to restore your Reflex platform to factory specification without requiring complete shock replacement.
Key Features
- Genuine OEM Component — These are authentic Team Associated parts engineered to exact factory specifications, ensuring perfect fitment and consistent performance that matches your vehicle's original suspension geometry and handling characteristics.
- Aluminium Construction — The aluminium material provides the optimal balance between weight and rigidity, maintaining precise suspension geometry whilst minimising unsprung mass that could affect handling response and chassis dynamics.
- Precise 10x19mm Dimensions — The specific sizing ensures these bodies work seamlessly with your Reflex suspension system, maintaining exact bore sizing and internal clearances for smooth piston operation and predictable suspension response.
- Compatible with Reflex 14B and 14T FT — Designed for both the 2WD Reflex 14B and 4WD Reflex 14T FT platforms, these shock bodies provide versatility for racers running multiple Reflex variants or building backup vehicles for competition.
- Straightforward Replacement Option — Whether you're performing scheduled maintenance, rebuilding shocks after race season, or addressing wear from intensive driving, these bodies offer a simple, cost-effective solution compared to purchasing complete shock assemblies.
- Essential Maintenance Part — Shock bodies wear gradually during normal use, and replacing them helps maintain smooth suspension performance, consistent damping characteristics, and the precise handling feel your Reflex platform is known for.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated Reflex 14B/14T FT Shock Bodies represent precision engineering essential for maintaining your buggy's suspension performance. Constructed from high-quality aluminium, these 10x19mm bodies provide the structural integrity and dimensional accuracy required for consistent suspension function across both 2WD and 4WD Reflex variants. The aluminium material selection balances durability with minimal weight addition, critical for maintaining the responsive handling characteristics the Reflex platform demands. During regular use in RC buggy racing and recreational driving, shock bodies gradually experience wear from piston friction, internal seal degradation, and exposure to moisture and debris. By replacing worn bodies with these genuine Team Associated components, you restore your suspension to factory specifications, ensuring smooth piston operation, predictable damping curves, and the precise handling feel essential for competitive racing. These bodies integrate seamlessly with compatible shock springs, pistons, and damper oils, maintaining the complete suspension system's engineering integrity. For serious RC enthusiasts in the UK running Reflex buggies whether at local tracks or in backyard sessions, these shock bodies are fundamental maintenance items that preserve your investment and maintain performance standards.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these shock bodies compatible with my Team Associated Reflex 14B or 14T FT? — Yes, these AS21552 shock bodies are designed specifically for both the Reflex 14B (2WD) and 14T FT (4WD) variants. However, please consult your vehicle manual to confirm the exact quantity required for your specific model, as different shock configurations may use varying numbers of bodies.
- Why would I need replacement shock bodies? — Shock bodies experience gradual wear during normal RC buggy driving. The piston friction, internal seals, and exposure to moisture, dirt, and debris can cause the bore to become scored or damaged, compromising smooth operation. Replacing worn bodies restores suspension performance and ensures consistent damping. Rebuilding shocks with fresh bodies is also part of standard pre-season or post-race maintenance for competitive drivers.
- How often should I replace shock bodies? — This depends on usage intensity and maintenance practices. Recreational drivers might replace them annually or every 12-18 months, whilst competitive racers may service them more frequently during intense competition seasons. Regular inspection of your shocks will reveal any scoring, pitting, or damage to the internal bore that indicates replacement is needed.
- What do I need to do to fit these shock bodies? — You'll need to disassemble your existing shocks, removing the piston, spring, and damper oil. Transfer these components to the new bodies, ensuring all internal surfaces are clean and any seals are properly seated. Detailed assembly instructions are available in your Team Associated Reflex manual or through the manufacturer's technical resources.
- Are these genuine Team Associated parts? — Yes, these are authentic OEM parts from Team Associated, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with your Reflex platform. Genuine parts maintain the engineering standards and quality control that defines Team Associated's reputation for precision RC products.
- What size shocks do the Reflex 14B and 14T FT use? — The Reflex platforms use 10x19mm shock bodies, which is the specification of this replacement part. Always verify your manual to confirm your vehicle's exact shock configuration and quantity required before ordering.
