Key Features
- Digital Servo Technology — This is a fully digital servo rather than an analogue servo, which means it offers superior precision, faster response times, and better holding power when your RC helicopter or park fly aeroplane needs accurate control inputs during flight.
- Micro Size Design — At just 22.8 x 12.0 x 29.4mm and weighing only 15.8g, this servo is incredibly compact, making it perfect for weight-sensitive applications like helicopters and light park fly aircraft where every gram matters for flight performance.
- 4.6kg Torque at 6V — With 4.6kg-cm of torque at 6.0V operation, this servo delivers more than sufficient pulling power for cyclic control on 450-class helicopters and responsive rudder control on park fly aircraft, ensuring your flight surfaces respond immediately to your input.
- Metallic Body Design — The aluminium-based case construction not only provides a professional, exquisite aesthetic but actively helps dissipate heat during extended flying sessions, keeping the servo operating smoothly and coolly from beginning to end without performance degradation.
- Metal and Plastic Gearing — The combination of metal and plastic gears creates a robust framework that is engineered to be nearly crumble-proof, offering the solid durability and long service life that discerning RC pilots expect from a quality servo investment.
- Dual Ball Bearings — The 2BB bearing system reduces friction and wear, contributing to smooth, precise servo operation and extending the operational lifespan of your servo even with regular use on your RC helicopter or aircraft.
- 21-Tooth Spline Servo Horn — The 21-tooth spline horn (note: the product listing references 25t horn fitment, but the manufacturer specification confirms 21-tooth spline) provides excellent mechanical connection to your aircraft's control linkages, ensuring positive, secure control without slippage.
- Soft Start Mode — Plus Model Feature — The new Soft Start Mode included in the Plus version reduces mechanical shock when the servo first powers up, which is especially valuable in helicopter applications where sudden movements can destabilise your model during startup and initialisation.
- Sanwa SSR Compatibility — Built-in compatibility with Sanwa SSR radio systems means this servo integrates seamlessly with popular RC transmitter equipment, expanding your options when choosing a radio system for your aircraft.
- Environmentally Responsible Manufacturing — Savox produces this servo using green manufacturing processes and materials, meaning you can enjoy professional-grade RC performance whilst supporting environmentally conscious production standards from material selection through to final production.
- Camera-Grade Plastic Components — The plastic components in this servo follow quality control standards equivalent to branded digital cameras, demonstrating Savox's commitment to precision manufacturing and durability in every single unit they produce.
- Professional-Grade Engineering — Every aspect of this servo, from the gear design to the overall construction, reflects professional engineering principles that will give you the reliability and consistent performance necessary for dependable RC flight.
Technical Performance
The Savox SH0256+ is engineered as a high-performance micro digital servo with an impressive performance envelope that exceeds typical expectations for servos in this size category. Operating at 6.0V, the servo delivers 4.6kg-cm of torque with a response speed of 0.16 seconds per 60 degrees, making it snappy and responsive for the quick control inputs required in helicopter flying and park fly aircraft operation. At the more conservative 4.8V operating voltage, performance is still excellent with 3.9kg-cm of torque and a 0.21-second response time, giving you flexibility in your power supply options. The construction combines aluminium and plastic components intelligently, with the partial aluminium case providing excellent heat dissipation and durability whilst maintaining the lightweight profile essential for aircraft applications. The metal and plastic gearing system is engineered to withstand the regular control inputs of active flying without the gear stripping issues that can plague lower-quality servos. The dual ball bearing system reduces friction to an absolute minimum, contributing to both the fast response time and the smooth, precise control movements that your RC helicopter or park fly aircraft demands. This micro servo represents genuine engineering excellence that transcends the ordinary limitations found in many competitor micro servos, delivering professional-grade performance in a package that weighs less than 16 grams. Whether you're building a new 450-class RC helicopter or setting up a competitive park fly aeroplane, the SH0256+ provides the performance reliability that will keep your flying sessions enjoyable and your aircraft responding exactly as you command.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Savox SH0256+ suitable for 450-class RC helicopters? — Yes, absolutely. This servo is specifically engineered for CCPM and rudder control on 450-level helicopters, and the 4.6kg torque at 6V provides ample power for precise cyclic control and responsive rudder inputs on helicopters in this class.
- What voltage should I run the Savox SH0256+ at? — The servo operates at both 4.8V and 6.0V, with superior performance at 6.0V where it achieves its maximum 4.6kg-cm torque output. You can use either voltage depending on your aircraft's power system, though 6V operation is recommended for best performance.
- How fast is the response time? — At 6.0V, the servo completes a 60-degree movement in just 0.16 seconds, making it extremely responsive for the quick control adjustments necessary in helicopter flying where precision and speed are critical.
- What is the difference between the SH0256+ and previous models? — The Plus version features new Soft Start Mode technology that reduces mechanical shock during power-up, which is especially beneficial for helicopter applications. It also includes Sanwa SSR radio system compatibility, making it more versatile than earlier versions.
- Is this servo waterproof? — The manufacturer specifications do not indicate waterproof rating, so this servo should be treated as a standard digital servo. Whilst it should handle normal humidity and light exposure during flying, it is not recommended for waterproof applications or heavy water exposure.
- What radio systems is this servo compatible with? — The Plus model features Sanwa SSR compatibility, ensuring seamless operation with Sanwa radio systems. As a standard digital servo, it should also work with other quality digital radio systems, though you should verify compatibility with your specific transmitter.
- What type of servo horn does it use? — The servo includes a 21-tooth spline servo horn that provides a secure, positive connection to your aircraft's control linkages without slippage or play.
- How much does the servo weigh? — At just 15.8 grams, this micro servo is incredibly lightweight, making it ideal for weight-sensitive applications like RC helicopters and park fly aircraft where minimising weight is crucial for flight performance.
- What makes this servo different from other micro servos? — The SH0256+ features over-spec refined design that transcends the output limitations of ordinary micro servos, professional-grade engineering with metal and plastic gears designed to prevent crumbling, and a metallic body design that actively helps maintain cool operation. The quality control standards for plastic components match those of branded digital cameras, demonstrating Savox's commitment to excellence.
- Is the SH0256+ good for beginners? — Yes, this servo is suitable for beginners setting up their first 450-class helicopter or park fly aircraft. Whilst it is professional-grade equipment, it is straightforward to install and operate with standard RC radio systems, and the reliable performance will help new pilots focus on learning to fly rather than worrying about servo reliability.
