Overview
The Savox SC0352+ Standard Size Digital Servo is a versatile and high-performance servo solution designed for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliability without breaking the bank. This exceptional servo delivers impressive torque and precision, making it an ideal choice for 30 size aeroplanes, wheel steering on 1/8th buggies, and a wide range of other RC applications. Whether you're a seasoned RC car UK competitor or exploring the hobby for the first time, the SC0352+ combines professional-grade engineering with affordability, establishing itself as a trusted choice among RC model builders and racers.
What sets the Savox SC0352+ apart from other standard servos on the market is its superior engineering philosophy. Savox has engineered this servo to outperform comparable standard servos by incorporating dual bearing support for exceptional precision, combined with an industrial plastic gear train that operates quietly and smoothly. The addition of the Plus or '+' designation means this model features the new Soft Start Mode and Sanwa SSR compatibility, making it compatible with modern RC radio systems. The servo is built with precision-made plastic gears that form a solid and strong framework, demonstrating that traditional materials can deliver outstanding results when engineered correctly.
RC enthusiasts choosing the SC0352+ benefit from Savox's commitment to both performance and environmental responsibility. The entire production and quality control process for plastic components follows the rigorous standards established by branded digital camera manufacturers, ensuring consistency and durability in every unit. From material selection through to final assembly, Savox prioritises environmental friendliness without compromising on the torque, speed, or reliability that serious RC operators expect. This servo represents excellent value for money in the ready to run RC market, offering features typically found in more expensive alternatives at a fraction of the cost.

Technical Performance
The Savox SC0352+ delivers impressive technical performance that punches well above its price point. Operating at 6V, this digital servo produces 6.5kg of torque with a rapid response time of 0.11 seconds per 60 degrees, making it suitable for both aerodynamic precision and mechanical control tasks. At the lower 4.8V operating voltage, the servo still delivers a respectable 4.2kg of torque with a 0.14-second response time, providing flexibility in battery configuration. The motor uses a brushed design with a refresh rate of 240Hz, ensuring smooth and responsive servo movement across the full operating range. The servo operates across a temperature range of 14°F to 122°F (-10°C to 50°C), making it suitable for use throughout the UK's variable climate conditions. The compact dimensions of 40.7 x 20.2 x 39.4mm and lightweight design at just 42g make the SC0352+ perfect for weight-sensitive applications like fixed-wing aircraft and minimalist RC car builds. Running current draws 180mA at 4.8V and 240mA at 6V under no load, with stall current ratings of 1300mA and 1500mA respectively, providing clear guidance for power supply planning. The operating travel spans 120 degrees across the standard 1000 to 2000 microsecond pulse width range, with maximum travel extending to approximately 164 degrees when using the full 800 to 2200 microsecond pulse width. The servo maintains a neutral position at 1500 microseconds and features a pulse width frequency range of 200-250Hz with a 1520 microsecond adjustment capability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is the Savox SC0352+ suitable for beginners in the RC hobby? — Absolutely. The SC0352+ is an excellent choice for beginners and those new to RC. Its straightforward design, reliable performance, and affordability make it perfect for learning the fundamentals. The servo integrates easily with most RC radio systems, and its robust construction means it can handle the occasional beginner mistakes without requiring replacement. Many ready to run RC models come equipped with similar servos, confirming their suitability for newcomers.
- What voltage should I operate the SC0352+ at, and what battery does this need? — The servo operates at both 4.8V and 6V. Most RC hobbyists use either four AA alkaline batteries in series (producing approximately 6V) or standard 4.8V battery packs designed for RC use. At 6V, the servo delivers full torque of 6.5kg and fastest response of 0.11 seconds per 60 degrees. If using rechargeable RC battery packs, ensure they are suitable for servo use and match either the 4.8V or 6V specification. Never exceed 6V as this will damage the servo electronics.
- What makes the SC0352+ different from the standard SC0352 model? — The SC0352+ is the updated 'Plus' version, featuring two key improvements: Soft Start Mode, which reduces mechanical stress during power-up and extends servo lifespan, and Sanwa SSR compatibility, allowing seamless integration with modern Sanwa radio systems. If you're purchasing a servo today, the SC0352+ represents the current specification and offers superior features at comparable pricing.
- How does the Soft Start Mode benefit my servo? — Soft Start Mode gradually ramps up power delivery when the servo powers on, rather than applying full power immediately. This reduces shock loading on the internal gears and mechanical components, significantly extending the servo's operational lifespan and reducing the risk of damage during the critical startup moment.
- Is the SC0352+ waterproof or suitable for wet conditions? — The SC0352+ features a plastic case and is not waterproof. Whilst casual exposure to light rain during RC car UK off-road sessions is unlikely to cause immediate failure, the servo should not be submerged or exposed to sustained water contact. If operating in wet conditions, use servo extensions to keep the servo away from water spray and puddles.
- What type of servo horn does the SC0352+ use? — The servo features a standard 25 tooth spline output, one of the most common servo horn standards in the RC industry. This means you have access to hundreds of aftermarket servo arm options from major RC suppliers, allowing customisation to suit your specific application and linkage requirements.
- What is the maximum current draw, and will my radio system power it safely? — At 6V with no load, the servo draws 240mA, and under stall conditions (locked output), it draws up to 1500mA. Most dedicated RC battery packs and power supplies are rated to handle these current demands safely. If powering from a smaller battery pack designed for remote controls rather than RC equipment, verify the power supply capacity before connecting the servo.
- How do I program or configure the SC0352+? — The SC0352+ is a digital servo with a standard JR-type connector, meaning it works with any RC radio system that supports JR connectors. Programming and configuration options depend on your specific radio system; consult your radio manual for details on servo programming, travel adjustment, and failsafe settings.
