Technical Performance
The Fastrax 6 X 2 X 2.5mm bearing is a precision roller bearing designed to manage radial loads whilst minimising friction and wear in RC drivetrain applications. Bearings of this specification are commonly used in RC cars to support rotating shafts and axles, enabling smooth power delivery from motor to wheels. The 6mm inner diameter accommodates standard RC car shafts, whilst the 2mm width provides compact installation in space-constrained areas of RC chassis designs. The 2.5mm outer diameter specification ensures this bearing fits precisely into factory-engineered bearing housings across the compatible RC models listed. Engineered with precision tolerances and quality materials, Fastrax bearings maintain consistent performance across repeated use, reducing drag and ensuring your ready to run RC car or custom build delivers maximum efficiency. Whether you're replacing worn bearings on a crawler tackling rocky terrain, refreshing a buggy before a race, or maintaining a truck for weekend bashing, this bearing provides the reliability that serious RC car UK enthusiasts demand.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What RC models use the Fastrax 6 X 2 X 2.5mm bearing? — This bearing is compatible with a wide range of RC platforms including Element Enduro, HPI option parts, Mugen option parts, Rival MT10, Tamiya option parts, Team Associated option parts, Team Losi option parts, Traxxas option parts, TRAXXAS TRX-4, and Axial Racing option parts. - Why do I need replacement bearings for my RC car? — Bearings are wear items in RC cars that support rotating shafts and reduce friction during operation. Over time and with regular use, bearings can become worn, damaged, or develop play, which reduces performance and can cause binding or noise. Replacing worn bearings with genuine Fastrax spares restores your RC car to factory performance standards and extends the life of other drivetrain components.
- How often should I replace bearings in my RC car? — Bearing replacement frequency depends on how often you use your RC car and the conditions you run in. Frequent users, racers, and those running in wet or dirty environments should inspect bearings regularly and replace them when they show signs of wear, roughness, or excessive play. Many RC enthusiasts keep spare bearings on hand for quick maintenance.
- Is this bearing suitable for beginners? — Yes, this bearing is an excellent starter spare part for RC hobbyists new to maintenance. Bearing replacement is one of the fundamental skills in RC car care, and having genuine Fastrax spares ensures you can perform this maintenance confidently. Our team at RC Model Shop can provide guidance if you need help identifying which bearings your specific RC model requires.
- What is the difference between this bearing and other Fastrax bearing options? — Fastrax produces bearings in multiple sizes to fit different RC applications and model manufacturers. The 6 x 2 x 2.5mm specification is engineered specifically for the RC platforms listed above. Always verify your RC model's parts list to ensure you order the correct bearing size, as using the wrong size can result in loose or binding installation and reduced performance.
