Overview
The Fastrax ARRMA Front Aluminium Chassis Brace is a premium tune-up component designed for serious RC enthusiasts who demand precision engineering and durability from their RC car upgrades. This front aluminium chassis brace is engineered specifically for ARRMA Kraton, OutCast, and Notorious models, delivering enhanced chassis rigidity and improved handling characteristics that serious RC bashers and racers rely on. Whether you're pushing your RC monster truck to its limits on UK tracks or enjoying high-speed off-road adventures, this aluminium chassis brace represents a smart investment in your vehicle's longevity and performance.
Manufactured by Fastrax, a recognised name in RC car upgrades and performance parts, this chassis brace combines lightweight aluminium construction with precision engineering to provide the strength and reliability that modern RC vehicles demand. The FTAR010BK model number represents a carefully engineered solution for ARRMA owners looking to reduce chassis flex and improve overall vehicle stability during aggressive driving conditions. This is the kind of upgrade that separates casual RC car enthusiasts from dedicated hobbyists who understand how chassis bracing directly impacts handling, cornering speed, and long-term durability.
Available through RC Model Shop, this genuine Fastrax component ensures you're purchasing an authentic, quality-assured part backed by the manufacturer's specifications and our expert knowledge of RC car performance upgrades.
Key Features
- Aluminium Construction — The brace is manufactured from lightweight but incredibly strong aluminium alloy, which significantly reduces chassis flex without adding unnecessary weight to your RC car. This material choice is critical because it allows your suspension to work more effectively whilst keeping your vehicle's overall weight distribution optimal for handling and speed.
- ARRMA Compatibility — Engineered specifically to fit ARRMA Kraton, OutCast, and Notorious models, this brace ensures perfect fitment and alignment with your vehicle's chassis geometry. This precision engineering means you don't have to worry about modifications or compatibility issues—it's a direct bolt-on upgrade.
- Reduced Chassis Flex — By bracing the front of the chassis, this component minimises twisting and bending under acceleration, braking, and cornering forces. Reduced flex translates directly into more predictable handling, better traction, and improved cornering performance, which is essential for competitive RC driving and high-speed bashing.
- Enhanced Durability — A properly braced chassis experiences less stress on individual components, reducing wear on suspension bushings, pivot points, and the chassis itself. This means longer intervals between repairs and better long-term value for your RC investment.
- Direct Bolt-On Installation — This is a straightforward upgrade that requires no cutting, modification, or special tools beyond standard RC maintenance equipment. Within minutes, you'll have improved your vehicle's structural integrity and handling characteristics.
Technical Performance
The Fastrax ARRMA Front Aluminium Chassis Brace represents the kind of precision engineering that separates quality RC upgrades from mediocre aftermarket parts. Manufactured in aluminium alloy, this brace provides the structural reinforcement that ARRMA Kraton, OutCast, and Notorious chassis designs require when driven at speed or subjected to high-impact bashing conditions. The brace is specifically engineered to reduce the natural flex that occurs in the front chassis area during aggressive cornering and hard acceleration, where chassis stress is greatest. By improving chassis rigidity in this critical area, the brace enhances the overall dynamic behaviour of your RC car, allowing your suspension components to function more effectively and your steering inputs to translate more precisely into vehicle movement. This component works in harmony with modern ARRMA suspension systems, which are already sophisticated, but benefit enormously from a more rigid mounting platform. The lightweight nature of the aluminium construction ensures that performance gains are not offset by increased weight, maintaining your vehicle's acceleration, braking performance, and battery runtime. Installation is straightforward, using the existing mounting points on your ARRMA model without requiring any chassis modifications.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Will this front chassis brace fit my ARRMA RC car? — This brace is specifically designed and engineered to fit ARRMA Kraton, OutCast, and Notorious models. If you own one of these three models, this brace will bolt directly onto your vehicle's chassis using the existing mounting points without requiring any modifications or adjustments.
- What difference will I notice after installing this chassis brace? — You'll notice improved handling characteristics, particularly during cornering and acceleration. The vehicle will feel more planted and responsive to steering inputs, with reduced chassis flex translating to more predictable behaviour. If you drive at speed or perform aggressive tricks and jumps, you'll notice the car lands and handles impact better with the reduced flex.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — Whilst this is a tune-up component rather than a complete RC car, it's suitable for anyone with basic RC car maintenance knowledge. Installation is straightforward and doesn't require special tools. However, it's primarily aimed at drivers who have some experience and are looking to optimise their vehicle's performance through aftermarket upgrades.
- Do I need any other upgrades with this brace? — This brace works as a standalone upgrade and doesn't require any other components to function. However, many RC enthusiasts pair chassis bracing with other suspension and drivetrain upgrades for maximum performance benefit. It complements suspension bushings, anti-roll bars, and other handling upgrades nicely.
- Is aluminium the best material for a chassis brace? — Aluminium is the industry standard for chassis bracing in RC cars because it offers the perfect balance of strength, weight, and cost-effectiveness. It's significantly stronger than plastic whilst remaining lightweight, and it won't rust or corrode like steel would. Fastrax's choice of aluminium demonstrates their understanding of RC engineering requirements.
