Overview

The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil 500000CST is a premium differential lubricant designed for RC cars and trucks that demand precision tuning and consistent performance across all weather conditions. Whether you're competing in the UK's competitive RC racing scene or enjoying weekend bashing sessions, this specialist oil delivers the reliability and performance that serious RC enthusiasts expect. This new range of oils has been rigorously tested and developed over the last 12 months by some of Europe's leading drivers, ensuring that every bottle meets the exacting standards of professional RC racers.

Differential oil is one of the most overlooked yet critical tuning elements in RC car setup. The viscosity rating directly affects how your vehicle's differential performs, influencing acceleration, cornering stability, and overall handling characteristics. With a specification of 500,000 centistokes (500000cSt), this Fastrax oil provides a heavy, ultra-viscous option for drivers who need maximum differential lock and controlled power delivery. The extensive testing programme, which covered conditions ranging from the scorching heat of Spain to the unpredictable rain of the UK, means you can trust this oil to maintain consistent performance no matter what the British weather throws at your RC model.

The drivers who participated in the development process all commented that they have never come across oils that offer as much consistency and progression through the entire range as these new Fastrax oils. The vast range of viscosity options enables you to fine-tune your RC car's handling for all conditions, making this an essential product for anyone serious about optimising their setup. The easy pour lid makes changing oil the work of a moment rather than a chore, so you can spend more time driving and less time with a mess on your hands.

Key Features

  • 500000cSt Ultra-Heavy Viscosity — This extreme viscosity rating provides maximum differential lock and is designed for racers who want the most controlled power delivery possible, particularly in competition settings where precision handling is essential for winning.
  • Rigorously Tested by European Professionals — Developed over 12 months by some of Europe's leading RC drivers and tested in extreme conditions from Spanish heat to UK rain, this oil has been proven to maintain consistency in any climate your RC car encounters.
  • Exceptional Consistency and Progression — Professional racers report that this oil range offers more consistency and smoother progression than any other diff oil they've used, allowing for precise tuning across the entire viscosity spectrum.
  • Easy Pour Lid Design — The specially designed pour lid makes oil changes quick and hassle-free, eliminating spills and mess so you spend more time driving your RC car and less time with cleanup.
  • Pure Silicone Formula — The silicone-based composition ensures thermal stability and prevents oil breakdown even under the intense heat generated during competitive RC racing sessions.
  • Competition-Grade Quality — Endorsed by professional RC drivers across Europe, this oil is specifically formulated to meet the demands of racers who refuse to compromise on performance and reliability.
  • Tuning Versatility — When used as part of the complete Fastrax oil range, this 500000cSt option allows drivers to systematically tune their differential lock for different tracks, weather conditions, and driving styles.

Technical Performance

The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil 500000cSt represents the heavy end of specialist diff oil tuning for RC cars. With a viscosity rating of 500,000 centistokes, this oil creates significant resistance within your differential, resulting in maximum lock-up and controlled power delivery to the drive wheels. This makes it an ideal choice for competition RC racers who have fine-tuned their vehicles to work with a specific differential setup and need an oil that will provide ultra-predictable, locked behaviour. The pure silicone formulation has been engineered to maintain its viscosity properties across a wide temperature range, crucial for UK RC racers who might experience significant temperature variations between a heated indoor racing venue and outdoor winter conditions. The oil's consistency ensures that differential performance remains repeatable across multiple heats or qualifying sessions, a critical requirement for competitive racing where inconsistency can cost you race positions. During development, testing was conducted in conditions ranging from the Mediterranean heat of Spain — where oils can thin and lose their locking properties — to the cool, wet climate of the UK, where oils must maintain viscosity without becoming sluggish. This comprehensive real-world testing programme guarantees that every bottle of Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil maintains its performance characteristics regardless of local weather conditions, making it a trusted choice for serious RC enthusiasts across the United Kingdom.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does 500000cSt mean and how do I know if this is the right viscosity for my RC car? — The cSt (centistokes) measurement indicates the oil's viscosity or thickness. At 500,000cSt, this is an extremely heavy, ultra-viscous oil that provides maximum differential lock. Lower viscosity oils (like 10,000 or 50,000cSt) are thinner and allow more differential slip; higher numbers lock the differential more completely. Your choice depends on your vehicle, driving style, track conditions, and personal preference. Competitive RC racers often experiment with different viscosities to dial in perfect handling, and this 500000cSt option is perfect for drivers seeking maximum control.
  • Is this oil suitable for beginners? — While any quality diff oil is better than none, beginners might benefit from understanding their vehicle's setup before investing in ultra-heavy oils. However, if you have a vehicle already set up to use heavy diff oil and want reliable, professional-quality performance, this Fastrax oil is an excellent choice. The easy pour lid makes it beginner-friendly to apply.
  • How do I know what viscosity of Fastrax diff oil I need? — The Fastrax racing oil range includes multiple viscosity options to suit different driving styles and conditions. Lower viscosity oils offer more slip and are typically used in looser setups or for casual driving, while heavier oils like this 500000cSt provide lock and are favoured by competitive racers. Check your vehicle's manual, consult racing driver forums, or experiment with the range to find your ideal setup.
  • Why should I trust this oil over cheaper alternatives? — This Fastrax oil has been developed and tested by some of Europe's leading RC drivers over 12 months in real-world conditions from Spanish heat to UK rain. Professional racers report that it offers exceptional consistency and progression throughout the range, something they hadn't found in other oils. When you're competing for race wins, investing in proven, professional-grade diff oil is a smart choice.
  • Does the easy pour lid really make a difference? — Yes. Changing differential oil can be messy and time-consuming, but Fastrax's easy pour lid design minimises spills and makes the process quick and simple. Drivers who have used this feature report that it makes oil changes fast, so you can get back to driving your RC car rather than spending time on maintenance.
  • Will this oil work in all types of RC cars? — This is a differential oil suitable for any RC car, buggy, truck, or crawler that has an oil-filled differential. Whether you're running a 1/10 scale buggy, 1/8 truggy, or scale crawlers, this Fastrax oil will work in any differential designed to accept liquid lubricant. Always check your vehicle's manual to confirm it uses oil-filled differentials rather than grease-packed units.
