Overview

The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil 20000CST is a premium differential lubricant engineered for serious RC enthusiasts and competitive racers across the UK. Whether you're tuning a high-performance RC buggy, monster truck, or other competition-grade RC vehicle, this specialist oil provides the precise viscosity control needed for consistent, predictable handling characteristics on track. Differential oils are critical to RC performance — they control how your car's differentials lock and slip, affecting traction, turning behaviour, and overall drivability in different conditions.

This 20000 centistoke oil sits at the thicker end of the viscosity spectrum, making it ideal for looser track conditions, warmer weather racing, or when you want maximum differential lock and reduced slipping. The Fastrax range has been rigorously tested and developed over 12 months by some of Europe's leading drivers, ensuring that every bottle delivers the consistency and reliability that competitive RC drivers demand. Unlike basic oils that vary in performance, this pure silicone formulation provides exceptional consistency and progression through the entire Fastrax oil range, giving you true tuning precision for your RC car UK setup.

For any RC racer serious about setup tuning and performance optimisation, having the right differential oil is as important as having quality tyres and suspension geometry. The easy-pour lid design makes changing oil quick and convenient, so you can focus on testing and refining rather than wrestling with awkward containers. If you're looking to make the winners circle in UK RC racing, choosing the right differential oil — like this Fastrax formulation — is an essential first step.

Key Features

  • Premium Pure Silicone Formula — This oil is manufactured from pure silicone, which provides superior stability and consistency compared to mineral-based alternatives, ensuring that your differential performs identically lap after lap and session after session regardless of ambient temperature variations.
  • 20000 Centistoke Viscosity — At 20000 cSt, this is a thicker oil designed for looser track surfaces, warmer racing conditions, or maximum differential lock scenarios where you want minimal slipping and maximum traction control from your differentials.
  • Tested by Europe's Leading Drivers — Every formulation in the Fastrax range has been extensively tested in real-world conditions across Europe, from the heat of Spain to the rain of the UK, by professional and competitive RC drivers who demand nothing less than perfection.
  • Exceptional Consistency and Progression — The drivers involved in testing commented that they had never encountered oils offering as much consistency and progression through the range as these new Fastrax oils, meaning you get reliable, predictable performance every single time you use it.
  • Comprehensive Range for All Conditions — The vast range of viscosity options enables you to fine-tune your RC car's differential performance for all track conditions, weather, and setup preferences, giving you complete control over handling characteristics.
  • Easy-Pour Lid Design — The thoughtfully engineered pour lid makes changing differential oil the work of a moment rather than a chore, so you spend less time on maintenance and more time actually racing and testing your setup.
  • 50ml Bottle Size — A practical 50ml format provides sufficient oil for multiple differential servicing cycles while remaining compact enough to store easily in your pit box or garage.

Technical Performance

The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil 20000CST is a high-specification lubricant engineered to the demanding standards required by competitive RC racing. At 20000 centistokes, this viscosity rating makes it one of the thicker oils in the Fastrax range, suited to situations where you need maximum differential lock and controlled slipping. Viscosity in differential oils is critical to RC performance — it determines the breakaway characteristics of your differentials, affecting how your car behaves in corners, on acceleration, and through transitions. Pure silicone formulations offer superior temperature stability compared to conventional mineral oils, meaning your differential performs consistently across temperature ranges encountered during testing and racing. The extended 12-month development period involved testing in genuinely diverse conditions, ensuring that this formula performs reliably whether you're racing in heated indoor facilities, cool UK autumn conditions, or warm summer track sessions. The comprehensive Fastrax oil range means you can dial in the exact differential performance characteristics needed for your specific car, track surface, and racing style. For competitive racers who understand that setup precision separates winners from the rest of the field, having access to multiple viscosity grades and guaranteed consistency is invaluable.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What viscosity should I use for my RC car? — Differential oil viscosity depends on your track surface, weather conditions, and desired handling characteristics. The 20000 cSt rating makes this oil suitable for looser track surfaces, warmer conditions, or when you want maximum differential lock. Fastrax offers a comprehensive range allowing you to experiment and find the perfect viscosity for your specific setup and racing style.
  • Is this silicone oil better than mineral oil? — Yes, pure silicone formulations like this Fastrax oil offer superior temperature stability and consistency compared to mineral-based alternatives. This means your differential performs more predictably across different ambient temperatures and racing conditions, which is essential for competitive racing where consistency is critical.
  • How often should I change my differential oil? — This depends on how frequently you race or bash. Competitive racers typically change differential oil regularly to maintain optimal performance, while casual users might change it less frequently. Regardless of frequency, having the easy-pour lid on this bottle makes the process quick and straightforward.
  • Can I use this oil in all RC differentials? — This is a universal differential oil suitable for use in most standard RC car differentials from leading manufacturers including Traxxas, Team Associated, HPI, and others. Always consult your specific vehicle's manual to confirm compatibility, but this pure silicone formulation is widely compatible across the RC hobby.
  • What makes Fastrax oils different from other brands? — Fastrax oils have been rigorously tested and developed over 12 months by some of Europe's leading drivers under real racing conditions. Users have commented that these oils offer exceptional consistency and progression through the range, meaning each viscosity grade performs exactly as expected with no surprises or variations.
  • Why is differential oil important for RC cars? — Differential oil directly affects how your RC car handles, particularly in corners and during acceleration. The correct viscosity helps you achieve the ideal balance of traction and turning ability for your specific track conditions, making it a critical tuning parameter alongside suspension setup and tyre choice.
