Overview
The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil 15000CST is a professional-grade differential oil designed for serious RC enthusiasts and competitors across the UK who demand consistency and precision in their vehicle setup. This 15,000 centistoke silicone oil represents the pinnacle of Fastrax's lubricant development, created through rigorous testing by some of Europe's leading drivers over a full 12-month development cycle. Whether you're running your RC car in the scorching heat of Spain or the wet conditions of the UK, this oil delivers the same reliable performance regardless of environmental challenges.
Differential oil is one of the most critical tuning components in modern RC racing, affecting how your vehicle handles corners, accelerates out of turns, and maintains traction under varying conditions. The 15000CST viscosity sits at the thicker end of Fastrax's comprehensive range, making it ideal for high-speed circuit racing, competitive off-road racing, and situations where you need maximum locking effect in your differential. If you're serious about improving your RC car's handling and want to compete at the highest level, this is the oil that winning drivers choose.
The development process behind this oil involved extensive real-world testing across dramatically different climate conditions, ensuring that whether you're racing in summer heat or during wet autumn weather, the oil maintains perfect consistency and viscosity. Competitors and enthusiasts have consistently reported that the Fastrax oil range offers more consistency and progression than any other oils they've tested, allowing for precise vehicle tuning across all race conditions. The convenient easy-pour lid design makes oil changes quick and hassle-free, so you can spend more time on the track and less time fussing with maintenance.

- 15,000 Centistoke Viscosity — This thick viscosity rating provides maximum differential locking and control, perfect for high-speed racing, sharp cornering, and competitive environments where you need every advantage.
- Extensively Tested by Professional Drivers — Over 12 months of development and testing with Europe's leading RC racing drivers means this formula has been proven in real competition conditions and won races.
- Tested Across Extreme Climate Conditions — The oil has been validated in both the heat of Spanish summer racing and the wet, cold conditions of UK weather, guaranteeing consistent performance in any season.
- Superior Consistency and Progression — Professional drivers involved in the testing commented that they've never experienced oils with such consistent performance or such precise progression through the viscosity range.
- Enables Precise Vehicle Tuning — The vast range of viscosity options available in the Fastrax oil range (combined with this 15000CST option) allows you to fine-tune your differential response for every track condition and racing scenario.
- Easy-Pour Lid Design — The specially designed pour lid makes changing oil quick and convenient, transforming what could be a tedious maintenance task into a moment's work between races or practice sessions.
- Professional Competition Grade — This is the oil chosen by winners, designed for drivers who take their RC racing seriously and want every possible advantage on the track.
Technical Performance
The Fastrax Racing Pure Silicone Diff Oil 15000CST represents a significant advancement in RC car differential lubrication. At 15,000 centistokes, this oil delivers maximum viscosity for high-locking differential performance, making it the choice for competitive drivers who need their vehicles to respond with precision during aggressive cornering and acceleration. Pure silicone oils maintain their viscosity characteristics far better than synthetic blends across temperature variations, meaning your differential will respond consistently whether you're racing on a hot summer day or during cooler autumn competitions. The engineering behind this formula focuses on maintaining perfect oil film strength between gear teeth whilst allowing smooth differential action when needed. The carefully balanced composition ensures that the oil won't separate under high centrifugal forces in the differential, won't break down after extended use, and won't lose its properties due to temperature fluctuations. Professional RC competitors have tested this oil extensively in conditions ranging from Mediterranean heat to British rain, confirming that it delivers the promised consistency and reliability. The 50ml bottle size provides ample quantity for multiple differential refills and top-ups, suitable for regular maintenance throughout your racing season. When you choose Fastrax oils, you're choosing a product that has been validated by the drivers who win races, tested in every conceivable weather condition, and engineered to give you the precision control you need to extract maximum performance from your RC car.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity should I choose for my RC car differential oil? — Differential oil viscosity is measured in centistokes (CST), and thicker oils (higher CST ratings) provide more locking and control for high-speed racing, whilst thinner oils allow smoother turning. The 15000CST rating in this Fastrax oil is at the thicker end of their range, making it ideal for competitive racing, high-speed circuit work, and situations where you want maximum differential response. Lower viscosity options are better for general bashing and tight, technical courses.
- Is Fastrax differential oil suitable for all RC cars? — Yes, this pure silicone differential oil is compatible with any RC car that uses a differential, whether it's a buggy, truck, or competition vehicle. However, you should check your vehicle's manual for any specific viscosity recommendations for your particular model and racing conditions.
- How often should I change my differential oil? — For regular racing and practice, most competitive drivers change their differential oil every 4-6 hours of running time, or whenever they notice the oil becoming discoloured or contaminated with dirt. The 50ml bottle size makes it easy to keep spare oil on hand for regular maintenance and top-ups throughout your racing season.
- What makes Fastrax oils different from other brands? — Fastrax oils are developed and tested by some of Europe's leading RC racing drivers across 12 months of real-world competitive conditions. The testing covered extreme climate variations from Spanish heat to UK rain, and professional drivers reported that these oils offer more consistency and finer progression through the viscosity range than any other oils they've tested. This level of development and validation by actual racing professionals sets Fastrax oils apart.
- Can I mix different viscosity Fastrax oils together? — Whilst it's technically possible to mix oils of different viscosities, it's not recommended. To maintain precise tuning and consistency, it's best to use a single viscosity and only switch when you intentionally want to adjust your differential response for different track conditions or racing styles.
- Is this oil suitable for UK RC racing? — Absolutely. This Fastrax oil has been specifically tested in UK weather conditions as part of its development process, meaning it's proven to perform reliably in British rain and variable temperatures. Many UK RC racers and competitors choose Fastrax oils for exactly this reason.
