Overview
The Etronix 8.2kg/0.11s Low Profile Digital Servo Metal Gear (ET2035) is a premium servo solution designed for RC enthusiasts who demand precision, speed and compact dimensions. Whether you're building a competitive RC car in the UK, customising an existing model, or upgrading your RC buggy or truck setup, this low-profile digital servo delivers the performance and reliability you need in a footprint that fits even the tightest installations. The combination of rapid 0.11-second response time and robust 8.2kg-cm torque output at 6.0V makes this servo ideal for steering applications in modern RC vehicles where every millisecond of response counts.
This servo stands out in the ready-to-run RC and custom build market because it combines professional-grade engineering with practicality. The full metal gear construction ensures durability during intense driving sessions, whilst the compact low-profile design solves the height limitation problem that many RC enthusiasts face when working with tight chassis configurations. Etronix has built a reputation for delivering quality components that punch well above their price point, and this servo is no exception. At just 44.5 grams, it won't add unnecessary weight to your RC model whilst delivering the speed and torque response that separates fast, responsive handling from sluggish, delayed steering input.
RC hobbyists across the UK will appreciate that this servo comes complete with everything needed to get started: a full selection of servo horns for different mounting applications, mounting rubbers for vibration isolation, and all necessary mounting hardware. This means you can install and begin using the servo immediately without hunting for additional components or adapters. Whether you're upgrading a brushless RC monster truck, building a competition RC buggy, or fine-tuning your RC short course truck, the ET2035 provides the performance foundation you need.
Key Features
- Digital Low-Profile Design — The compact dimensions of 40.5 x 20.3 x 28.0mm allow this servo to fit into chassis configurations where standard-height servos simply won't fit, making it perfect for RC cars with limited vertical clearance and tight servo bays.
- Exceptional Speed Response — Delivering a blazingly fast 0.11-second response time at 6.0V, this digital servo reacts instantly to your control inputs, giving you the precision steering response needed for competitive RC driving and technical courses.
- Robust Torque Output — With 8.2kg-cm of torque at 6.0V, this servo has the strength to handle aggressive steering inputs and maintain position under load, whether you're powering through tight corners in your RC buggy or executing rapid direction changes in your RC truck.
- Full Metal Gear Construction — Unlike servos with composite or plastic gears, the all-metal gear train in the ET2035 provides superior durability and longevity, resisting wear and damage from constant use and delivering consistent performance session after session.
- Metal and Plastic Case Construction — The combination of metal and plastic in the servo case provides an optimal balance of protection, weight reduction and durability, ensuring the servo's internal components stay secure whilst keeping overall weight minimal.
- Comprehensive Accessory Kit — This servo ships with a full selection of servo horns, mounting rubbers and mounting hardware, meaning you have the flexibility to adapt it to multiple RC applications and chassis designs without purchasing additional parts.
- Lightweight Design — At just 44.5 grams, this servo minimises the weight penalty on your RC model, helping maintain optimal weight distribution and improving acceleration and handling characteristics across your RC vehicle.
- Professional Grade Reliability — Built to Etronix's exacting standards, this servo is engineered for the demands of serious RC enthusiasts, from weekend bashers to competitive racers, delivering consistent performance under demanding conditions.
Technical Performance
The Etronix ET2035 represents a significant engineering achievement in compact servo design. Operating at a nominal 6.0V, this digital servo delivers a transit speed of 0.11 seconds over a 60-degree arc, placing it among the fastest servos in the low-profile category. This exceptional speed is crucial for RC car enthusiasts who rely on responsive steering input, particularly when racing competitive RC buggies, trucks or short course vehicles where steering precision directly impacts lap times and course performance. The 8.2kg-cm torque rating ensures that even aggressive steering corrections and sustained cornering loads don't cause servo lag or positional drift, a common problem with underpowered steering servos in high-performance RC applications. The servo's all-metal gear train is specifically engineered to handle the mechanical stresses of rapid direction changes without developing slop or wear, maintaining consistent performance even after dozens of driving sessions. The metal and plastic composite case provides robust protection for the internal circuitry and servo mechanisms whilst keeping the overall package weight to just 44.5 grams. This servo operates on standard 6V NiMh battery systems common to most RC cars, trucks and buggies throughout the UK RC market, and connects via a standard servo connector that integrates seamlessly with any Futaba-compatible receiver. The low-profile dimensions of 40.5 x 20.3 x 28.0mm specifically address the vertical space constraints found in modern chassis designs, where servo bays have become progressively more compact to improve weight distribution and aerodynamics.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Is this low-profile servo suitable for my RC car or RC truck? — Absolutely. The compact low-profile design is specifically engineered for modern RC cars, trucks, buggies and short course vehicles where chassis height is limited. If you've been struggling with standard servos that won't fit in your RC buggy or RC monster truck build, the ET2035 solves that problem whilst delivering professional-grade performance. Just confirm that your receiver uses standard Futaba-compatible servo connectors and that your battery system runs at 6.0V.
- What is the difference between a digital servo and an analogue servo? — Digital servos like the ET2035 offer faster response times, more precise positioning, and greater holding torque compared to analogue servos. In practical terms, your RC car will feel more responsive and your steering inputs will be executed more precisely, which translates directly to better handling and faster lap times on the track.
- Will this servo work with my 6V battery system? — Yes, the Etronix ET2035 is rated for 6.0V operation and is compatible with standard 6V NiMh battery systems commonly used in RC cars throughout the UK. The servo should not be run at 7.2V or higher voltage systems, as this will damage the servo electronics and void the warranty.
- How does the low-profile design improve my RC setup? — Low-profile servos reduce the vertical footprint inside your chassis, which lowers the centre of gravity of your RC vehicle. This improves handling characteristics, particularly during cornering and weight transfer. Additionally, the compact size allows for more flexible chassis designs and better weight distribution, particularly important in competitive RC racing.
- What makes metal gears better than plastic gears in an RC servo? — Metal gears are significantly more durable and resistant to wear than plastic gears. They maintain tighter tolerances over extended use, delivering consistent performance session after session without developing the slop or lag that develops in plastic-geared servos. For serious RC enthusiasts, metal gears represent a genuine long-term investment in reliability.
- Is this servo suitable for beginners to RC cars? — Yes, whilst the ET2035 is a professional-grade servo, it's equally suitable for beginners and experienced RC enthusiasts. The comprehensive included accessory kit makes installation straightforward, and the robust construction means it will reliably handle the learning curve without failure.
- What connector does this servo use? — The Etronix ET2035 comes with a standard servo connector that plugs directly into your receiver. This connector is compatible with virtually all RC receivers throughout the UK market, including Spektrum, Futaba and Hitec systems.
- Can I use this servo in a Tamiya TT-02 or other popular RC chassis? — Yes, this servo is compatible with popular RC platforms including the Tamiya TT-02 and similar modern RC cars and trucks. The low-profile design makes it particularly suitable for chassis with limited servo bay space, and the included mounting hardware and servo horns allow flexible installation options.
