Overview

The ETRONIX 9G 1.9kg/0.07s Micro Servo (ET2005) is a compact, lightweight servo designed for RC enthusiasts who demand precision control in space-conscious applications. Whether you're building a small-scale RC car UK model, upgrading a ready to run RC vehicle, or working on a competition-grade setup, this micro servo delivers fast response times and dependable torque in a package that weighs just 9.4 grams. The servo's exceptional speed and torque characteristics make it ideal for applications where low mass is a priority without compromising on control quality or reliability.

At RC Model Shop, we recognise that choosing the right servo is crucial to your RC hobby experience. The ETRONIX 9G micro servo represents excellent value for money, offering the performance characteristics that discerning RC builders expect. This servo is well-suited to a wide range of applications, from precision steering servos in small-scale buggies to control surfaces on micro RC aircraft and quadcopters. The inclusion of a full selection of servo horns, mounting rubbers and hardware means you can get your project up and running quickly without hunting around for additional parts.

If you're new to the world of RC hobby or you're an experienced basher looking for a reliable upgrade component, this micro servo delivers the fast response and dependable torque expected from quality RC components. The plastic gears and case keep the weight down whilst maintaining sufficient strength for typical hobbyist applications, making this servo a practical choice for builders who want to keep their models lightweight without sacrificing performance.

Key Features

  • Exceptional Speed Rating of 0.07 seconds at 60 degrees — This incredibly quick response time at 6.0V means your RC model will react instantly to your control inputs, providing the snappy steering response and precise control that makes the difference between a good RC experience and a great one. Whether you're navigating tight corners in an RC car UK course or making micro-adjustments in flight, this speed rating ensures minimal lag between your transmitter input and the servo's physical movement.
  • Strong Torque Output of 1.9kg-cm — Despite its compact size, this servo delivers 1.9 kilogrammes per centimetre of torque at 6.0V, providing sufficient power to control surfaces and steering linkages reliably. This torque specification means the servo can hold your chosen control surface position firmly without drift, even under the loads experienced during aggressive driving or flying.
  • Ultra-Lightweight 9.4 Gramme Design — Weighing just 9.4 grams, this micro servo is ideal for weight-sensitive applications where every gramme counts. Whether you're building a lightweight ready to run RC model or optimising your vehicle's weight distribution for better handling, the minimal mass of this servo means you can allocate your weight budget more efficiently elsewhere in your build.
  • Compact Dimensions of 23.2 x 12.0 x 25.5mm — The diminutive size of this servo makes it perfect for installations in tight spaces. Small RC cars, micro buggies, and compact aerial platforms can accommodate this servo with ease, opening up creative building possibilities for compact RC hobby projects.
  • Complete Hardware Included — The package includes a full selection of servo horns in different configurations, mounting rubbers for vibration isolation, and all the necessary mounting hardware. This comprehensive inclusion means you won't need to source additional parts separately, saving you time and money when assembling your RC model.
  • Plastic Gears and Case Construction — The plastic construction throughout keeps the weight to an absolute minimum whilst maintaining adequate strength for hobbyist applications. This material choice makes the servo cost-effective whilst delivering reliable performance for typical RC hobby uses.
  • 6.0V Operating Voltage — This servo is optimised for operation at 6.0 volts, a standard voltage common in RC applications using two-cell LiPo batteries (2S) or equivalent battery configurations, ensuring compatibility with most RC receivers and power systems.

Technical Performance

The ETRONIX 9G micro servo represents a well-engineered balance between performance, weight and cost-effectiveness. Operating at 6.0 volts, this servo achieves an impressive 0.07-second response time over a 60-degree arc, translating to exceptionally quick steering and control surface response in real-world RC applications. The 1.9kg-cm torque specification provides adequate holding force for typical RC steering linkages and control surfaces, ensuring that your model responds predictably to your inputs without drooping or drifting even under moderate load. The plastic gears and plastic case keep the overall weight to an absolute minimum of just 9.4 grams, making this servo one of the lightest options available in the micro servo category. The compact dimensions of 23.2 x 12.0 x 25.5mm mean this servo will fit into spaces where larger servos simply won't work, making it the ideal choice for builders of small-scale RC cars UK models, micro buggies, and compact aerial platforms. The material selection and engineering approach prioritise lightweight performance and quick response over extended durability in extreme conditions, making this servo perfectly suited to recreational RC hobby use where standard conditions are expected. Whether you're upgrading a ready to run RC model or building a precision-engineered compact vehicle from scratch, the ETRONIX 9G delivers the performance characteristics needed for reliable, responsive control.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the ETRONIX 9G 1.9kg/0.07s micro servo suitable for beginners in RC hobby? — Yes, absolutely. This servo is straightforward to install and requires no special knowledge or tools beyond basic RC assembly skills. The inclusion of multiple servo horns and complete mounting hardware means beginners can select the appropriate horn configuration for their application and get building straight away. The simplicity of servo installation makes this an excellent choice for anyone new to RC hobby projects.
  • What voltage does this micro servo require? — The ETRONIX 9G operates at 6.0 volts, which is compatible with standard 2-cell LiPo battery packs (2S) that are common in small-scale RC applications. Most RC receivers and battery systems designed for micro servos will operate at this voltage, making integration into your existing RC setup straightforward.
  • How fast is the 0.07-second response time? — A response time of 0.07 seconds over 60 degrees represents exceptionally quick servo performance. To put this in perspective, the servo will complete a full 60-degree movement in just 70 milliseconds, providing the snappy, responsive control that makes for enjoyable and precise RC operation. This speed rating is measured at 6.0 volts under load-free conditions.
  • Will this servo fit in a small RC car UK model? — With dimensions of only 23.2 x 12.0 x 25.5 millimetres and a weight of just 9.4 grams, this micro servo is specifically designed for compact RC applications. It will fit in small-scale RC cars, compact buggies, and any application where space is limited and weight is a concern. The complete inclusion of mounting hardware means installation is straightforward.
  • Is 1.9kg-cm of torque enough for steering control? — Yes, 1.9 kilogrammes per centimetre of torque is sufficient for steering and control surface applications in small-scale RC models. This torque rating is measured at 6.0 volts and provides adequate holding force to prevent your steering or control surfaces from drifting under normal RC hobby conditions. For heavier applications or extreme load requirements, you may wish to consider a servo with higher torque specifications.
  • What is included with the ETRONIX 9G servo? — The servo package includes the servo itself, a full selection of servo horns in different configurations, mounting rubbers for isolating vibration from your RC chassis, and all the necessary mounting hardware and fasteners. This comprehensive inclusion means you have everything you need to install the servo in your RC model right out of the box.
  • Can I use this servo in a ready to run RC model? — Yes, if your ready to run RC model has a compatible receiver and power system operating at 6.0 volts, you can use this servo as an upgrade. The standard servo connector and compact size mean it will work with most RC receivers designed for small-scale applications. Always check your RC model's documentation to confirm compatibility before installing any servo upgrade.
