Overview
The Etronix XT-60 Connector (Male/Female) ET0796 is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts across the UK who build, repair, or upgrade their RC vehicles. Whether you're working on a brushless RC car, electric RC truck, or any LiPo-powered RC hobby model, reliable connectors are fundamental to safe and efficient performance. This matched pair delivers exactly what serious RC builders need: a quality male and female XT-60 connector set from a trusted brand, supplied as one complete pair to ensure perfect compatibility and a professional, consistent finish on your RC projects.
XT-60 connectors have become the industry standard for mid-range to high-performance RC applications, valued by hobbyists and competitors alike for their robust design, low electrical resistance, and secure connection. The Etronix brand is recognised across the RC community for producing reliable, cost-effective electrical components that perform consistently in demanding conditions. If you're upgrading your RC car's battery connections, building a custom battery pack, or simply need a spare connector pair for your RC collection, this ET0796 set provides the quality assurance you need without breaking the bank.
RC enthusiasts in the UK understand that connector quality directly impacts safety and performance. Poor connections lead to voltage drop, reduced speed, potential battery damage, and worst-case scenarios involving loose connections during high-speed runs. The Etronix XT-60 pair eliminates these concerns by providing secure, repeatable connections that hold firm even during aggressive driving, whether you're bashing your RC monster truck through rough terrain or running precision circuits with your RC buggy or crawler.
Key Features
- Matched Male and Female Pair — Supplied as one male connector and one female connector, ensuring perfect compatibility and eliminating the frustration of mismatched connector sets. This matched pairing guarantees a secure, consistent fit every time you connect or disconnect your battery or ESC from your RC vehicle.
- XT-60 Standard Connectors — XT-60 connectors are the recognised industry standard for electric RC cars, trucks, buggies, and other hobby-grade RC models worldwide. This standardisation means your connector pair will work with any XT-60 equipped component, giving you maximum flexibility in building and upgrading your RC setup.
- Low Electrical Resistance — Quality XT-60 connectors minimise voltage drop during operation, ensuring your ESC and motor receive full battery voltage for optimal performance and acceleration. This efficient power delivery translates to faster lap times, better torque delivery, and longer runtime from your LiPo battery on every charge.
- Secure Connection Design — The XT-60 connector features precisely engineered contact pins and housing that lock together firmly, preventing accidental disconnection during driving. This reliability is critical when running RC vehicles at speed or over challenging terrain where vibration and impacts could cause inferior connectors to separate.
- Etronix Branded Quality — These connectors carry the Etronix brand name, assuring you of consistent manufacturing standards and reliability that has earned trust within the UK RC community and across hobby shops worldwide. Choosing a recognised brand gives you confidence in connector longevity and performance.
- Individual Connector Pair — Unlike bulk packs, this single pair is ideal for hobbyists needing replacement connectors, spare sets for multiple batteries, or builders adding XT-60 terminations to custom builds. One male and one female connector gives you exactly what you need without excess packaging or waste.
Technical Performance
The Etronix XT-60 Connector pair is engineered for electric RC vehicles ranging from small-scale terrain trucks and RC crawlers through to full-size 1/10 and 1/8 scale RC buggies, short course trucks, and monster trucks. XT-60 connectors are rated for the current demands of brushless motor systems running on 2S through 6S LiPo batteries, making them suitable for RC vehicles from entry-level builds to high-performance racing platforms. The connector's design features gold-plated contact pins that resist corrosion and oxidation, maintaining low resistance even after hundreds of connect/disconnect cycles. The housing is constructed from durable materials engineered to withstand the thermal cycling and environmental exposure common in RC hobby use. Whether you're connecting a high-discharge LiPo battery to your ESC, linking multiple battery packs in series, or building custom wiring harnesses for your RC project, the XT-60 standard delivers the performance and reliability demanded by modern RC enthusiasts. These connectors have proven themselves in competitive RC racing environments, casual weekend bashing, and everything in between, making them the go-to choice for builders who refuse to compromise on electrical reliability.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are XT-60 connectors suitable for my RC car battery and ESC? — XT-60 connectors are the standard connector type for electric RC vehicles worldwide, compatible with nearly all modern brushless ESCs and LiPo batteries sold in the UK market. If your RC car, buggy, truck, or crawler uses LiPo batteries and a brushless motor system, XT-60 connectors will almost certainly be the correct choice. Check your battery and ESC connector types to confirm, but XT-60 is by far the most common standard for hobby-grade RC vehicles.
- Can I use these connectors with different battery capacities and voltages? — Yes, XT-60 connectors are rated for use with standard LiPo battery configurations from 2S (7.4V) through 6S (22.2V) and beyond in some applications. They work equally well with 3S, 4S, or 5S LiPo batteries, making them versatile across a wide range of RC vehicle types. The connector type remains the same regardless of battery voltage or capacity, so one XT-60 pair will work with multiple batteries in your RC collection.
- What makes XT-60 connectors better than other connector types? — XT-60 connectors offer an excellent balance of compact size, secure connection, low electrical resistance, and broad compatibility. Unlike older Tamiya or Deans connectors, XT-60s provide superior contact quality and faster disconnect speed. For RC hobbyists in the UK, XT-60 has become the recognised standard precisely because it outperforms alternatives in reliability and consistency across thousands of RC builds.
- How do I solder these connectors properly to my battery or wiring? — XT-60 connectors are designed to be soldered to battery wires or ESC leads using standard soldering techniques. The connector pins accept solder cleanly, and the housing is designed to guide wires into the correct position. Many RC builders solder their battery connectors themselves to customise their builds, and the XT-60 design makes this process straightforward with practice. If you're new to soldering RC connectors, there are excellent tutorials available online from RC community resources in the UK and internationally.
- Are these connectors better with or without protective sleeves? — As noted by RC hobbyists who have used Etronix connectors, some builders prefer XT-60 connectors with sliding protective sleeves that cover the soldered connections. These sleeves make connector separation easier and provide additional insulation. Etronix supplies these connectors without sleeves, allowing you to add your own sleeve if preferred, or use them as-is depending on your build requirements and personal preference.
- Will these connectors work with my existing RC equipment? — If your RC vehicle, battery, or ESC already uses XT-60 connectors, these Etronix connectors will connect seamlessly. If you're upgrading from different connector types, you may need to replace both battery and ESC connectors, or use adapter leads. Check your existing equipment connectors before ordering to ensure compatibility with your current RC setup.
