Overview
The Etronix 60cm 22AWG JR Twisted Extension Wire is an essential accessory for any RC hobbyist working with JR servo connectors. Whether you're building a custom RC car in the UK, setting up a new RC model, or extending servo runs in tight spaces, this extension lead provides the extra reach you need without compromising signal quality or reliability. The twisted wire construction keeps your installation neat and organised, which is especially important when working with complex wiring layouts in modern RC vehicles.
This servo extension lead is designed to work seamlessly with any JR-compatible servo or receiver, making it a universal solution for RC enthusiasts of all experience levels. From beginners just starting their journey in the RC hobby to seasoned competitors fine-tuning their setups, this extension wire delivers straightforward functionality at an affordable price point. The 60cm cable length gives you genuine flexibility in positioning servos away from tight compartments, allowing for cleaner builds and easier maintenance on your RC model.
RC Model Shop stocks the Etronix ET0738 as part of our comprehensive range of RC accessories and components. If you're working on a brushless RC buggy, an electric RC truck, or any radio control application requiring servo extension, this JR twisted lead is a practical choice that won't let you down.
Key Features
- JR Servo Connector Compatibility — This extension lead features JR connectors on both ends, ensuring perfect compatibility with any RC servo or receiver equipped with standard JR plugs, which are widely used across the RC hobby industry in the United Kingdom and beyond.
- Twisted Cable Construction — The twisted wire layout is not just about aesthetics; it actively reduces electromagnetic interference and signal noise, helping to maintain clean servo response and eliminating the risk of signal degradation over the extended run length.
- 60cm Extended Reach — At 600mm long, this extension lead provides substantial additional length compared to standard servo leads, allowing you to position servos in optimal locations rather than being constrained by short factory cables.
- 22AWG Wire Gauge — The 22AWG specification ensures adequate current-carrying capacity for standard servo applications whilst remaining flexible and easy to route through tight spaces in your RC chassis or body.
- Practical Organisation Solution — By enabling servo relocation, this extension lead helps create cleaner wiring runs, making your RC build easier to troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade without having to completely rewire your model.
Technical Performance
The Etronix 60cm 22AWG JR Twisted Extension Wire represents solid engineering for servo connectivity in radio control applications. The 22AWG wire gauge has been selected to provide the ideal balance between flexibility and current capacity, suitable for standard servo requirements across a wide range of RC cars, trucks, buggies and other radio control models. The twisted construction of the cable serves an important purpose: it helps minimise radio frequency interference and crosstalk between the signal lines, ensuring that servo commands transmitted from your RC transmitter are received cleanly and reliably by your servo mechanisms. This is particularly valuable in competitive RC environments or when running sensitive electronic components alongside high-powered brushless motors and ESCs. The 600mm length (60cm) represents a practical extension that covers most real-world servo repositioning needs without introducing excessive cable that could create routing difficulties. The JR connector format has been the industry standard for many years, ensuring this extension lead will work with the vast majority of servos and receivers you encounter in the RC hobby. Whether you're running a modest 2S or 3S powered RC car or a high-performance brushless setup, this extension lead will handle the servo signalling requirements reliably.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Can I use the Etronix JR extension lead with all RC servos and receivers? — Yes, this extension lead is designed for universal compatibility with any servo or receiver featuring standard JR connectors, which are the most common connector type in the RC hobby across the UK and worldwide. Simply plug it between your receiver and servo, or between your servo and any JR-equipped component.
- What does twisted wire construction mean and why does it matter? — Twisted wire construction involves spiralling the signal lines around each other, which helps cancel out electromagnetic interference and prevents signal noise that could cause servo jitter or unreliable operation. This is especially beneficial when running extension leads or when your RC setup includes high-powered brushless motors and ESCs that generate electrical noise.
- Is 60cm long enough for my RC car extension needs? — At 600mm, this extension lead covers the vast majority of real-world servo relocation scenarios in RC cars, buggies, trucks and crawlers. It provides enough length to move a servo from a crowded receiver area to a better location without excessive cable, making it practical for most custom RC builds and upgrades.
- How do I connect the Etronix extension lead to my RC setup? — Connection is straightforward: simply disconnect your servo from your receiver, plug the extension lead's connector into the receiver's servo port, then plug your servo into the other end of the extension lead. The JR connectors are keyed to prevent incorrect insertion, ensuring proper polarity every time.
- Will this extension lead work with my brushless RC car? — Absolutely. Servo extension leads are purely signal carriers and have no interaction with your motor or ESC. Whether you're running a brushless RC car, truck, buggy or any other radio control model, this extension lead will work perfectly with your servo-controlled systems such as steering servos or switching mechanisms.
- Is this suitable for beginners to RC? — Yes, extension leads are one of the simplest RC accessories to use. There are no special tools, settings or knowledge required—simply plug it in and it works. This makes the Etronix extension lead an excellent choice for anybody new to the RC hobby looking to improve their build layout.
