Overview

The Etronix 60cm 22AWG Futaba Twisted Extension Wire ET0737 is an essential accessory for RC enthusiasts across the UK who demand reliable servo connections without compromise. Whether you're building a competition-grade RC car, a high-performance RC crawler, or any other RC model that requires extended servo leads, this twisted-pair extension wire delivers the professional-grade quality you need. The 60cm length provides flexibility for complex wiring layouts whilst the twisted-pair construction actively works to minimise electromagnetic interference, ensuring your servos respond with precision and without signal degradation on longer runs.

Designed specifically for Futaba-style connectors, this extension wire is compatible with the vast majority of modern RC servos and radio systems used by hobbyists across the UK. The twisted-pair configuration is particularly valuable when running servo leads alongside high-current motor wires, as the balanced pair geometry naturally cancels out induced noise that could otherwise cause jitter, glitches or unpredictable servo behaviour. This makes it an ideal choice for serious RC enthusiasts who understand that signal integrity directly impacts model control and reliability on the track, trail or flying field.

At just £2.55, the Etronix 60cm 22AWG Futaba Twisted Extension Wire represents exceptional value for money and belongs in every RC model builder's spares box. Stock is available now at RC Model Shop, ready to ship to anywhere in the UK, making it simple to upgrade your RC setup with professional-grade servo wiring that you can rely on.

Key Features

  • 60cm Length — The 600mm overall length provides sufficient reach for complex servo installations without requiring multiple daisy-chained extensions, reducing connection points and maintaining signal integrity across your RC model's wiring harness.
  • 22AWG Wire Gauge — This wire gauge offers the optimal balance between current-carrying capacity and flexibility, ensuring reliable power delivery to your servos whilst remaining easy to route through tight spaces in your RC chassis without excessive bulk.
  • Twisted-Pair Construction — The twisted configuration of the positive and negative conductors creates a natural shield against electromagnetic interference, which is critical when servo leads run near brushless motors, ESCs or other high-frequency electrical components that could otherwise introduce signal noise.
  • Futaba-Style Connectors — Fully compatible with standard Futaba receiver connections and servo headers, featuring keyed housings and clear polarity markings that eliminate the risk of reversed connections and ensure stress-free, secure installation every time.
  • Professional-Grade Quality — Manufactured by Etronix, a respected brand within the RC hobby community, this extension wire meets the demands of both casual RC enthusiasts and serious competitors who refuse to compromise on connection reliability.
  • Ready to Use — Supplied complete and ready for immediate installation, with no soldering, crimping or modification required, making it suitable for RC hobbyists of all experience levels from first-time builders to seasoned veterans.

Technical Performance

The Etronix 60cm 22AWG Futaba Twisted Extension Wire is engineered to maintain signal integrity across medium-length servo runs that would be impractical with standard straight leads. The 22AWG wire gauge provides excellent current-carrying capacity suitable for high-torque servos commonly used in modern RC cars, crawlers, buggies and trucks, whilst the twisted-pair geometry actively rejects common-mode noise that could otherwise corrupt the servo control signal. The 60cm length is particularly valuable in larger RC models or installations where the servo must be mounted remotely from the receiver, such as front or rear axle servos in RC crawlers, steering servos in large-scale RC buggies, or pan-and-tilt servos in RC aircraft. The Futaba-style connectors feature keyed housings with clear polarity markings, ensuring foolproof connections that cannot be installed backwards. The combination of quality materials, professional construction and proven design makes this extension wire suitable for demanding applications including RC off-road competition, RC racing, RC crawling and general RC modelling across the UK hobby scene.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is this twisted extension wire suitable for high-torque RC servo applications? — Yes, the 22AWG wire gauge provides excellent current-carrying capacity suitable for high-torque servos commonly used in demanding RC applications, and the twisted-pair construction ensures signal integrity even under demanding electrical conditions.
  • What is the difference between twisted-pair and straight servo extension wires? — Twisted-pair extension wires feature conductors wound together in a helix pattern, which creates natural cancellation of electromagnetic interference from nearby high-current components like brushless motors and ESCs. Straight wires lack this shielding benefit and are more prone to signal noise on longer runs, making twisted-pair extensions the superior choice for serious RC enthusiasts.
  • Will this extension wire work with my RC radio system? — This extension wire is designed for Futaba-style connectors and is compatible with any RC servo or receiver using standard Futaba headers, which includes the vast majority of modern RC radio systems available in the UK market.
  • Can I use this extension wire with my RC crawler or RC car? — Absolutely. The 60cm length makes this extension wire particularly valuable for RC applications where servos must be mounted remotely from the receiver, such as front and rear axle servos in RC crawlers, steering servos in RC buggies, or complex servo setups in competition RC cars.
  • Is soldering or crimping required? — No, this extension wire is supplied complete with factory-assembled connectors and requires no soldering, crimping or modification. Simply plug it in and you are ready to use it immediately.
  • What makes Etronix a trusted brand for RC servo leads? — Etronix is a respected manufacturer within the RC hobby community, known for producing quality accessories that meet the reliability demands of both casual RC enthusiasts and serious competitors.
