Overview

The Etronix Power Hub Multi Port Distributor (ET0259) is an essential piece of kit for any RC enthusiast in the UK who needs reliable, compact power distribution. Whether you're running multiple RC cars, drones, or electronic devices at the track or workshop, this clever hub simplifies your power setup by consolidating various charging and power needs into one tidy solution. The Power Hub is particularly valuable for RC car UK enthusiasts who manage multiple vehicles and accessories, as it eliminates the need for several separate power sources and adapters cluttering your workspace.

Designed with the modern RC hobbyist in mind, the Etronix Power Hub delivers versatile power management in an incredibly compact footprint of just 63.7 x 44 x 22.5mm, weighing only 46g. This makes it perfect for taking to the track, storing in your pit box, or keeping at your workbench for convenient access. The hub accepts input voltage between 6-18V and supports a maximum current draw of 10A, making it compatible with a wide range of power sources from standard LiPo batteries to mains-powered PSUs commonly used by ready to run RC enthusiasts across the country.

What sets the Etronix Power Hub apart is its thoughtful dual-purpose design that caters to both traditional RC equipment and modern smart devices. Three DC output ports provide dedicated power for your RC chargers, ESCs, and receivers, whilst two USB ports deliver regulated 5V/2.1A output perfect for smartphones, tablets, and other USB-powered devices. The interchangeable DC power lead means you can adapt this hub to work with virtually any power source in your collection, making it an incredibly flexible investment for your RC hobby setup.

Key Features

  • Three DC Output Ports with Dual Connector Support — Each of the three DC ports accepts both banana connectors and alligator clips, giving you complete flexibility when connecting different devices and chargers to the hub without needing adapters or converters.
  • Dual 5V/2.1A USB Outputs — Two independent USB ports deliver regulated 5V at 2.1A each, providing sufficient power to charge smartphones, tablets, portable battery banks, and other USB devices whilst managing your RC equipment, keeping everything powered during extended track sessions or workshop sessions.
  • Wide Input Voltage Range 6-18V — The hub accepts input from 6V to 18V, meaning it works seamlessly with 2S, 3S, and 4S LiPo batteries, NiMH battery packs, and regulated power supplies, making it compatible with virtually any power source in your RC arsenal.
  • 10A Maximum Current Capacity — With a 10A maximum current rating, the Power Hub can simultaneously power multiple devices and chargers without bottlenecking performance or creating dangerous current draw situations, providing genuine multi-device power management.
  • Interchangeable DC Power Lead — The flexible DC input connector design means you can easily swap between different power sources without being locked into a single connector type, adapting to whatever battery or PSU you have available.
  • Incredibly Compact Design — Weighing just 46g with dimensions of only 63.7 x 44 x 22.5mm, the Power Hub takes up minimal space in your pit box, workshop, or vehicle, yet delivers serious power distribution capability without the bulk of competing solutions.
  • Professional-Grade Build Quality — Manufactured by Etronix, a recognised brand in the RC community, the Power Hub features robust construction designed to withstand regular use in demanding hobby environments, from muddy track days to intense workshop sessions.

Technical Performance

The Etronix Power Hub Multi Port Distributor represents intelligent engineering focused on real-world usability for RC enthusiasts. Its 10A capacity provides substantial power distribution for running multiple chargers and devices simultaneously without voltage sag or thermal throttling that affects lesser distributors. The wide 6-18V input acceptance means this hub integrates seamlessly with modern LiPo battery setups popular throughout the UK RC scene, as well as legacy NiMH systems and regulated workshop power supplies. The dual USB outputs are intelligently regulated to maintain consistent 5V output even under load, ensuring your smartphone stays charged during long track days without voltage fluctuations damaging sensitive electronics. Each DC output port's support for both banana connectors and alligator clips demonstrates thoughtful design that eliminates the need to carry multiple adapters or splitters. The compact 46g weight and 63.7 x 44 x 22.5mm dimensions belie the hub's capability, packing serious power distribution into a form factor small enough for any pit box. The interchangeable DC power lead is a particularly clever feature that allows rapid adaptation between different power sources — whether you're switching from a bench PSU to battery power or vice versa, you can reconfigure your setup in seconds without tools or modifications. Built to the standards expected from Etronix's engineering heritage, the Power Hub delivers reliable, stable power distribution suitable for everything from casual weekend RC car UK bashing to serious competition use.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What voltage do the banana plugs on the Etronix Power Hub output? — The three DC output ports on the Power Hub are variable and directly reflect your input voltage (6-18V range), so if you connect a 12V battery or PSU, the banana plug outputs deliver 12V, making them ideal for powering RC chargers, ESCs, and receivers designed for 12V operation.
  • Can I use the Etronix Power Hub with my LiPo batteries? — Yes, absolutely. The Power Hub accepts input voltage from 6-18V, which covers the full range of standard RC LiPo configurations including 2S (7.4V), 3S (11.1V), and 4S (14.8V) batteries commonly used in ready to run RC vehicles throughout the UK. Simply connect your LiPo battery to the interchangeable DC input lead and you're ready to distribute power to multiple devices.
  • Is the Etronix Power Hub suitable for beginners? — Yes, the Power Hub is excellent for beginners because its intuitive design and dual connector support (banana plugs and alligator clips) mean you can connect devices without needing specialist knowledge or equipment. The clear labelling and straightforward layout make it immediately obvious how to use the hub for powering multiple RC devices simultaneously, which is exactly what most newcomers to the hobby need when setting up their first workshop.
  • Can I charge my smartphone and run my RC charger at the same time? — Yes, this is one of the Power Hub's greatest strengths. You can connect a smartphone to one USB port, a tablet to the other USB port, and simultaneously run three separate RC chargers or devices on the DC output ports, provided the total current draw doesn't exceed 10A. For most hobby scenarios, this means you can charge multiple devices without any issues.
  • What's the maximum current I can draw from each port? — The Power Hub has a maximum total capacity of 10A. The two USB ports each deliver up to 2.1A (standard USB charging current), and the three DC ports can share the remaining capacity. As long as your total draw across all five ports stays under 10A, you're safe — for example, you could run two USB ports at 2.1A each (4.2A total) plus a 5.8A DC load simultaneously.
  • Will the Power Hub work with my workshop power supply? — Yes, the interchangeable DC power lead means you can connect the Power Hub to any regulated power supply that outputs between 6-18V. Most workshop PSUs in this voltage range will work perfectly, making the hub an excellent central distribution point for your entire bench setup when you're working on vehicles, charging batteries, or testing electronics.
