Overview

The Etronix ET0025-360 Standard 360-Degree Servo is a high-torque, full-rotation servo engineered specifically for winch duties on RC rock crawlers and off-road vehicles. Whether you're running scale trail recovery setups or building custom crawler winch systems, this servo delivers the reliable performance and pulling power you need for demanding terrain. If you're serious about RC crawling in the UK and want to add authentic winch functionality to your scale rig, this is the servo that gets the job done.

Designed with durable construction and precise 360-degree continuous rotation capability, the Etronix 25kg Winch Servo offers excellent value for anyone building or upgrading their RC crawler. This isn't a standard positional servo—it's purpose-built for the unique demands of winch operation, where consistent torque and reliability matter most. Whether you're tackling technical trails or setting up a realistic recovery scenario, the Etronix ET0025-360 provides the performance you'd expect from a dedicated winch servo at an accessible price point.

The servo combines robust metal gearing with a plastic case and standard sizing for straightforward fitment into most crawler chassis designs. With 25kg of torque at 6.0V and a 25-tooth spline servo horn, it's ready to handle the pulling demands of scale recovery operations. Available now in stock at RC Model Shop, this is the ideal solution for RC enthusiasts in the UK looking to add functional winch capability to their crawler builds without breaking the budget.

Key Features

  • Full 360-Degree Continuous Rotation — Unlike standard positional servos limited to around 180 degrees, this servo offers complete 360-degree rotation for uninterrupted winch operation, meaning your winch can pull continuously without mechanical stops or limitations.
  • 25kg Torque at 6.0V — This is serious pulling power for an RC servo, delivering enough force to handle scale recovery scenarios and realistic winch operations on challenging terrain without stalling under load.
  • Metal Gears for Durability — The servo features robust metal internal gearing rather than plastic, which resists wear from the constant rotation and variable loads typical of winch duty, ensuring longevity and reliability in demanding conditions.
  • Compact Dimensions — At just 41 x 20 x 44mm, this servo fits neatly into standard servo mounting locations on modern RC crawlers, making integration into existing designs or new builds straightforward without major chassis modifications.
  • 25-Tooth Spline Servo Horn — The included servo horn uses the industry-standard 25-tooth spline connection, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of winch drums, cable attachment systems, and aftermarket crawler accessories.
  • Durable Plastic Case — The outer casing is built from tough plastic that resists impact damage and weathering, protecting the internal components while keeping the servo lightweight for better overall vehicle balance.
  • Purpose-Built for Scale Applications — This servo was specifically engineered for scale crawler and trail recovery setups, making it the ideal choice for builders who want authentic, functional winch systems rather than decorative components.

Technical Performance

The Etronix ET0025-360 represents purposeful engineering for a specific application: continuous-rotation winch operation on RC crawlers. The 25kg torque specification at 6.0V input voltage provides substantial pulling force for scale recovery scenarios, capable of handling the weight of your RC vehicle and terrain obstacles without hesitation. The metal gear construction is the key to the servo's durability—continuous rotation creates mechanical stress that plastic gears simply cannot withstand over time, so the investment in metal gearing directly translates to longer service life and fewer mid-trail failures. The compact 41 x 20 x 44mm footprint fits within the design envelope of purpose-built crawler chassis, yet houses the robust internal mechanics needed for reliable winch duty. The 25-tooth spline interface is the standard connection for RC servo horns across the hobby, giving you maximum flexibility when designing your winch drum and cable attachment system. Operating at 6.0V (typically two 3V cells in series, which matches standard RC servo battery configurations), this servo integrates seamlessly into existing power distributions without requiring special voltage regulators or adapters. Whether you're running a single servo winch system or coordinating multiple functions, the Etronix ET0025-360 delivers the mechanical advantage and reliability expected from a dedicated winch servo in scale crawler applications throughout the UK RC community.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is the Etronix 25kg Winch Servo suitable for rock crawling beginners? — Yes, this servo is an excellent choice for beginner and intermediate RC crawlers looking to add functional winch capability. The 360-degree continuous rotation makes it more forgiving than standard servos when learning winch operation, and the straightforward 25-tooth spline connection means you can integrate it into your rig without complex modifications. Many UK crawler builders start with exactly this servo for their first scale recovery setup.
  • What voltage does this servo operate at and what battery does it need? — The Etronix ET0025-360 operates at 6.0V, which is the standard servo voltage across RC crawlers. This typically means two 3V cells wired in series, matching the power configuration of standard RC receiver batteries. Make sure your servo battery pack outputs 6.0V nominal and can supply sufficient current for winch duty—we recommend consulting your vehicle manual or our team for specific battery recommendations matched to your chassis.
  • Can I use this servo for continuous winch operation without damaging it? — Absolutely—that's precisely what it's designed for. The metal gearing and full 360-degree rotation capability are specifically engineered for continuous operation, unlike standard positional servos that are limited to intermittent use. The servo will handle extended pulling sequences without overheating or mechanical failure when used within its 25kg torque specification.
  • What makes this different from a standard positional servo? — Standard positional servos are limited to approximately 180-degree movement and feature mechanical stops that prevent continuous rotation. This Etronix servo eliminates those stops, enabling full 360-degree continuous rotation necessary for winch operation. Additionally, the metal gearing is specifically designed to withstand the constant rotational stress of winch duty, whereas standard servos use plastic gears that would fail under continuous rotation loads.
  • Is this servo waterproof for wet terrain use? — The specifications indicate the servo features a plastic case with metal gearing, providing good environmental resistance for typical UK trail conditions. However, if you're planning extended water crossing operations, we recommend consulting our team about additional sealing or protection measures to ensure optimal longevity in wet environments.
  • What scale RC crawlers is this servo compatible with? — The compact 41 x 20 x 44mm dimensions make this servo compatible with most standard and scale RC crawlers, from 1/10 scale trail vehicles to larger 1/8 scale models. The 25-tooth spline horn is the industry-standard interface, ensuring compatibility with virtually all modern crawler winch drum systems and aftermarket crawler accessories available in the UK RC market.
