Overview
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 300 CPS 150ml is an essential maintenance fluid for any serious RC enthusiast in the UK. Whether you're running a competition-grade RC buggy, a high-performance RC truck, or a precision RC crawler, the quality of your shock oil directly impacts how your suspension performs on the track or trail. This ultra-pure silicone formulation from Team Corally is specifically engineered to provide consistent damping characteristics across a wide range of temperatures and driving conditions, making it an ideal choice for both recreational bashers and competitive racers who demand the very best from their RC cars.
Shock oil is one of the most frequently changed consumables in RC racing, and getting the right viscosity is crucial for fine-tuning your vehicle's handling. The 300 CST (centistoke) viscosity rating on this Corally shock oil makes it suitable for a wide variety of driving styles and track conditions. RC enthusiasts in the UK often adjust shock oil viscosity to dial in their setups for different weather conditions, track surfaces, and personal driving preferences. A lighter oil flows more freely and provides a softer ride, whilst a heavier oil creates more resistance and produces a firmer, more controlled suspension response. With the 300 CST specification, you're getting a medium viscosity that works excellently for general-purpose RC use and is a popular choice among experienced RC car builders and tuners.
Team Corally is recognised as a premium brand in the RC hobby community, and their commitment to quality extends to even the smallest components like shock oil. This 150ml bottle of ultra-pure silicone oil is manufactured to exacting standards, ensuring that every drop delivers the performance consistency you need to keep your shocks working at their peak. Whether you're preparing your RC vehicle for a competitive race, fine-tuning your suspension after a basking session, or simply maintaining your collection of RC models, having a reliable supply of quality shock oil from a trusted manufacturer like Corally is absolutely essential.
Key Features
- Ultra Pure Silicone Formula — This shock oil is formulated from 100% pure silicone, which ensures maximum consistency in viscosity and damping performance regardless of temperature changes, allowing your RC suspension to respond predictably whether you're racing in cold winter conditions or during a warm summer track day in the UK.
- 300 CST Viscosity Rating — The 300 centistoke viscosity provides a balanced medium-weight shock oil that suits a broad range of RC vehicles and driving conditions, making it an excellent general-purpose choice for RC buggy owners, truck enthusiasts, and crawler pilots who want reliable suspension performance without needing multiple oil weights.
- 150ml Bottle Size — The generous 150ml capacity gives you enough shock oil for multiple shock refills and adjustments, which is particularly valuable if you're actively tuning your RC setup or maintaining a fleet of RC vehicles with different suspension configurations.
- Professional Grade Quality — Team Corally's shock oil meets professional racing standards and is trusted by competitive RC drivers throughout Europe who demand the highest level of consistency and reliability from their maintenance products.
- Temperature Stable Performance — Pure silicone oil resists viscosity changes across temperature ranges far better than lower-quality alternatives, ensuring that your damping characteristics remain consistent whether you're racing early in the morning or in the afternoon heat, which is crucial for consistent lap times and predictable handling.
- Easy to Use and Apply — The 150ml bottle is designed for easy pouring and measuring, allowing you to accurately fill your RC shock absorbers with precision and minimise wastage, making maintenance sessions quick and efficient.
Technical Performance
The Corally Shock Oil Ultra Pure Silicone 300 CPS represents a significant investment in the performance and longevity of your RC suspension components. At 300 centistokes (cSt), this viscosity is measured using the international standard CST grade system, which quantifies how quickly an oil flows at a specific temperature. The 300 CST specification positions this oil in the medium range, making it suitable for a vast majority of RC vehicles including 1/10 scale buggies, trucks, and on-road cars, as well as larger 1/8 scale vehicles. The pure silicone formulation means the oil is free from contaminants and additives that might interfere with suspension performance or degrade seals over time. Pure silicone oils maintain their viscosity characteristics more effectively across temperature variations compared to mineral oil alternatives, which is particularly important for RC racing where precision and consistency are paramount. Whether you're competing in the UK RC racing scene or simply maintaining your weekend basher, the thermal stability of this Corally shock oil ensures that your shocks will perform predictably from the start of a practice session through to the final race run. The product comes with comprehensive safety documentation available in multiple languages, including English, German, French, and Dutch, reflecting Team Corally's commitment to professional standards and responsible manufacturing practices.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does 300 CST viscosity mean and is it right for my RC car? — CST (centistoke) is the international measurement standard for oil viscosity or thickness. 300 CST represents a medium viscosity that works well for most RC vehicles including 1/10 buggies, trucks, and 1/8 scale cars. Lighter oils like 100 CST or 150 CST provide softer suspension and are better for high-grip surfaces, whilst heavier oils like 500 CST or 1000 CST create stiffer suspension ideal for low-grip conditions. The 300 CST specification is a popular all-rounder that many RC enthusiasts in the UK choose as their starting point before fine-tuning based on track feedback.
- Why should I use pure silicone shock oil instead of cheaper alternatives? — Pure silicone oil, like this Corally formulation, offers superior temperature stability, meaning your shock damping characteristics remain consistent across different ambient temperatures and during intense racing sessions. This consistency is essential for achieving repeatable lap times and predictable handling. Additionally, pure silicone formulations are gentler on shock seals and won't degrade them as quickly as lower-quality mineral oils, extending the lifespan of your expensive shock absorber components.
- How often should I change my RC shock oil? — The frequency depends on how intensively you use your RC vehicle. Casual bashers might change shock oil every few months, whilst competitive racers often refresh their shocks after every event or even between practice sessions and finals. Shock oil can become contaminated with dust, debris, and wear particles, especially if you're racing outdoors or on dusty tracks common throughout the UK, so regular inspection and replacement is part of professional RC maintenance.
- Can I mix different brands or viscosities of shock oil? — No, you should never mix different shock oils as this will create an unpredictable viscosity that could compromise your suspension tuning. Always use a consistent brand and weight from the same manufacturer. If you want to adjust viscosity, drain the old oil completely and refill with the new specification you've chosen.
- Is this shock oil suitable for beginner RC enthusiasts? — Yes, absolutely. Whilst 300 CST is popular with experienced competitors, it's also an excellent choice for beginners learning about suspension tuning on their RC buggy or truck. It provides a balanced baseline performance that works well on most track conditions, and once you understand how your vehicle responds, you can experiment with lighter or heavier weights to refine your setup.
- What is the difference between this Corally shock oil and other brands available in the UK? — Team Corally products are manufactured to professional racing standards and are trusted by competitive RC drivers across Europe. The ultra-pure silicone formulation ensures maximum consistency and reliability, and the brand's reputation for quality means you're investing in a product that delivers repeatable, predictable performance lap after lap. Many budget alternatives use mineral oils or impure silicone blends that don't offer the same temperature stability or seal protection.
