These competition-grade foam tyres are specifically engineered for 1/8 circuit racing, delivering the grip and performance characteristics that competitive drivers demand on track. Whether you're a seasoned racer looking to upgrade your existing RC car or a dedicated hobbyist seeking to improve your lap times, these Attack foam tyres offer the precision and consistency needed to compete at the highest levels of 1/8 scale off-road racing.
Foam tyres are the preferred choice for circuit racing because they provide superior grip and consistency compared to traditional rubber compounds. The Corally Attack range has become synonymous with quality and performance in the RC racing community, and the 32 Shore rear tyres included in this set are specifically tuned for delivering predictable handling characteristics on varied track surfaces. These tyres come pre-mounted and glued onto carbon rims, saving you valuable setup time and ensuring perfect balance and concentricity from the moment they arrive. For RC car enthusiasts in the UK seeking a ready-to-race solution, these tyres eliminate the guesswork involved in mounting and gluing, allowing you to focus on what matters most: improving your driving technique and achieving faster lap times.
The Attack foam tyre line has been developed through extensive testing and real-world competition data, making it a trusted name among 1/8 scale circuit racing competitors. The 32 Shore hardness rating offers a balanced approach to grip levels, making these tyres versatile across different track conditions whilst maintaining the responsiveness that competitive drivers require. When you purchase these Corally Attack tyres from RC Model Shop, you're investing in proven performance technology backed by a retailer with genuine expertise in RC racing components.
Key Features
- 32 Shore Hardness Foam Compound — The 32 Shore rating provides an optimal balance between grip and durability, delivering consistent performance across varying track surfaces and conditions that you'll encounter during competitive 1/8 circuit racing sessions. This mid-range hardness is engineered specifically for circuit racing where traction and predictability are paramount to achieving competitive lap times.
- Pre-Mounted on Carbon Rims — These tyres arrive factory-mounted and glued onto carbon composite rims, eliminating the time-consuming and skill-intensive process of manual mounting and gluing. This pre-assembly ensures perfect balance, concentricity and preparation, allowing you to get straight to the track without worrying about whether your wheel setup is correct or if air bubbles have compromised the tyre integrity.
- 76mm Diameter Specification — The 76mm diameter is the standard size for 1/8 scale circuit racing vehicles, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with all competitive 1/8 racing platforms from manufacturers like Corally, XRAY, TLR Racing and other established 1/8 buggy producers used throughout the UK racing scene.
- Rear Tyre Configuration — These are specifically engineered as rear tyres for 1/8 circuit buggies, with the compound, profile and construction optimised for the unique demands placed on rear wheels during acceleration, braking and cornering dynamics in circuit racing applications.
- Foam Rubber Technology — Foam tyres offer dramatically superior grip compared to traditional rubber compounds, especially when the track is cold or damp, making them the standard choice for competitive racing where every tenth of a second matters and consistency is critical.
- Competition-Grade Racing Performance — The Attack foam tyre line is specifically engineered for competition and racing use, with consistency and performance as the primary design considerations, making these tyres ideal for drivers who participate in organised racing events and club-level competitions across the UK.
- Two-Piece Set — Each package contains two complete tyre and rim assemblies, which is the standard pair needed for the rear axle of a 1/8 scale buggy, providing everything required to upgrade or replace your rear tyres.
- Zero Offset Rim Design — The rims feature a 0mm offset configuration, which is the standard specification for 1/8 circuit racing vehicles, ensuring proper suspension geometry and handling characteristics that competitive drivers expect.
Technical Performance
The Corally Attack Foam Tyres represent the pinnacle of 1/8 circuit racing tyre technology, with every aspect of their design optimised for delivering the grip consistency and performance that competitive racers demand. The 32 Shore foam compound has been extensively tested to deliver predictable handling characteristics across varying track conditions, from smooth artificial surfaces to rougher outdoor circuits found at racing venues throughout the UK. The foam construction provides superior shock absorption and flex characteristics compared to solid rubber, which translates into better traction, improved energy management, and more forgiving handling through high-speed corners. The pre-mounted configuration on carbon composite rims eliminates variables in wheel assembly quality, ensuring that the only limiting factor to your lap times is your driving skill, not equipment inconsistencies. The 76mm diameter and zero-offset rim design conform to standard 1/8 circuit racing specifications, guaranteeing compatibility with suspension geometry, brake systems, and drivetrain components on all major competitive 1/8 buggy platforms. The carbon rim construction provides an ideal balance between weight savings and structural rigidity, with sufficient strength to withstand the extreme lateral loads generated during high-speed circuit racing whilst keeping rotational mass minimal to maximise acceleration and deceleration responsiveness. These tyres are rated specifically for racing and competition use, meaning they have been engineered with durability and performance as equally important considerations, allowing drivers to push hard lap after lap without rapid wear or performance degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these tyres suitable for competitive 1/8 circuit racing in the UK? — Yes, the Corally Attack foam tyres are specifically engineered for competition racing applications. The 32 Shore hardness and foam compound technology are optimised for circuit racing environments where consistency and predictable grip are essential for achieving competitive lap times at organised racing events and club-level competitions throughout the United Kingdom.
- What is the difference between foam tyres and rubber tyres for RC cars? — Foam tyres offer significantly superior grip compared to traditional rubber compounds, particularly in cold or damp conditions common at UK outdoor racing venues. Foam provides better shock absorption, improved flex characteristics, and more predictable performance, which is why they are the universal choice for serious 1/8 circuit racing competitors. Rubber tyres tend to have less grip and less consistency, making them suitable for casual bashing rather than competitive racing.
- Do I need to glue these tyres to the rims myself? — No, these tyres arrive pre-mounted and factory-glued to the carbon composite rims, saving you time and eliminating the skill required to properly glue and balance foam tyres. This pre-assembly ensures perfect concentricity and avoids air bubbles that could compromise tyre performance.
- What 1/8 scale RC cars are these tyres compatible with? — These rear tyres are compatible with all standard 1/8 scale circuit racing buggies, including vehicles from Corally, XRAY, TLR Racing, Serpent and other manufacturers that produce competitive 1/8 racing platforms. The 76mm diameter and zero-offset rim specification conform to industry standard 1/8 circuit racing dimensions.
- What hardness should I choose for my track conditions? — The 32 Shore hardness offers a balanced approach suitable for most track conditions, providing good grip without excessive wear. Softer compounds (lower Shore numbers) offer more grip in cooler conditions, whilst harder compounds (higher Shore numbers) last longer and perform better on abrasive or hot tracks. The 32 Shore rating is a versatile choice for varied UK racing environments.
- How long do foam tyres typically last? — Foam tyre lifespan depends on track abrasiveness, driving intensity, and weather conditions, but competitive racers typically expect to get multiple racing events from a single set before noticeable wear requires replacement. These attack foam tyres are engineered for durability alongside performance, making them suitable for intensive racing use.
