Overview

The Corally Tirefix Special Formulated CA 25gr (C-13093) is an essential adhesive product for RC enthusiasts in the UK who need reliable tyre bonding solutions. Whether you're a competitive racer fine-tuning your RC car UK setup, a weekend basher maintaining your fleet, or someone new to the hobby discovering the world of RC for the first time, this specially formulated cyanoacrylate adhesive delivers professional-grade results. The Tirefix range has been specifically engineered to excel at bonding both rubber and foam rubber tyres, making it indispensable in any serious RC modeller's toolkit.

Team Corally, a recognised manufacturer in the RC hobby industry, has developed this adhesive with the specific demands of RC tyre bonding in mind. Unlike generic CA adhesives, Tirefix is formulated to provide superior filling properties that ensure a strong, lasting bond between tyres and wheel rims. The medium consistency formula gives you the perfect balance between workability and strength, allowing precise application without running or dripping. This is the adhesive choice for those who demand reliability and consistency in their RC car maintenance and repair work.

European manufacturing standards ensure quality control and safety compliance throughout the production process. When you order the Corally Tirefix Special Formulated CA from RC Model Shop, you're investing in a product trusted by RC enthusiasts across the United Kingdom and beyond. The 25gr container provides excellent value and enough adhesive for numerous tyre installations and repairs, making it a cost-effective addition to your RC spares collection.

Key Features

  • Special Formulation for Tyre Bonding — This adhesive is specifically formulated for the unique demands of bonding rubber and foam rubber RC tyres to wheel rims, unlike standard CA glues that may not provide optimal results for this application. The specialised composition ensures superior adhesion and durability under the stresses of RC driving.
  • Superior Filling Formula — The proprietary filling formula allows the adhesive to bridge small gaps and imperfections between the tyre bead and wheel rim, creating a stronger bond that resists the centrifugal forces generated during high-speed RC driving. This is particularly important for maintaining tyre grip and preventing tyre roll during aggressive cornering.
  • Medium Consistency — The medium viscosity strikes the perfect balance for precision tyre work, flowing smoothly for even application without being so thin that it runs off the tyre bead or so thick that it becomes difficult to apply accurately. This consistency is ideal for both experienced modellers and those new to tyre bonding in the RC hobby.
  • Anti-Clogging Needle Cap — The specially designed needle cap prevents the fine applicator tip from becoming blocked with cured adhesive between uses, ensuring consistent application every time you need to bond your tyres. This feature saves you money by preventing waste and ensuring the adhesive remains usable throughout the container's life.
  • Rapid Setting Time — With just 5 to 10 seconds for positioning and 10 to 20 seconds for complete curing, this adhesive allows you to work efficiently without extended downtime between applications. For those racing or maintaining multiple RC cars UK, this speed is invaluable during competition prep or regular maintenance sessions.
  • European Manufacture — Produced in Europe to strict quality standards, this adhesive meets rigorous safety and performance specifications. European manufacturing ensures consistent quality and compliance with international safety regulations across every batch.
  • Activator Compatible — Use with the Corally Speed-Up activator to dramatically accelerate the curing process when you need even faster turnaround times during competition or when working with multiple tyres in rapid succession.

Technical Performance

The Corally Tirefix Special Formulated CA represents a significant advancement in RC tyre adhesive technology. The proprietary formulation has been engineered specifically to address the challenges unique to bonding RC tyres, where conventional adhesives often fail under the extreme rotational stresses and centrifugal forces encountered during high-speed driving. The medium consistency allows for controlled application directly to the tyre bead area, with the superior filling properties ensuring complete coverage of the bond interface. The 5 to 10 second positioning window provides ample time to align the tyre correctly on the wheel rim before the adhesive begins to set, whilst the 10 to 20 second full cure time means you can typically move on to your next task or return to racing within minutes. When working with foam rubber tyres commonly used on RC buggy and truggy platforms, this adhesive provides exceptional results, whilst also excelling with standard rubber compounds. The formula has been optimised to cure to a rigid state that moves with the tyre assembly rather than becoming brittle, preventing the adhesive layer from cracking under the flexing that occurs when tyres deform during cornering. For competitive RC racing in the United Kingdom or casual weekend bashing, this adhesive delivers the reliability and performance that distinguishes professional-level tyre preparation from amateur approaches. The 25gr container provides sufficient adhesive for approximately 50 to 75 tyre installations depending on application technique, offering excellent value for regular users.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between Tirefix and standard CA adhesive for RC tyres? — Tirefix is specifically formulated for bonding rubber and foam rubber RC tyres with a superior filling formula that bridges small imperfections between the tyre and wheel rim. Standard cyanoacrylate adhesives often lack this filling capability and may not provide sufficient adhesion for the rotational stresses in RC driving, potentially causing tyre roll or separation during racing or bashing.
  • How long does it take for Tirefix to cure completely? — The adhesive sets sufficiently for handling in 10 to 20 seconds, allowing you to reposition your RC car for the next task relatively quickly. For maximum bond strength, allow a few minutes before stressing the tyre assembly, though in practical use, most modellers find the 20-second cure time sufficient for immediate use.
  • Can I speed up the curing process? — Yes, Corally produces a Speed-Up activator specifically designed to work with Tirefix. Applying the activator to the cured adhesive layer will dramatically accelerate hardening, useful when you need to prepare multiple tyres in rapid succession during competition or urgent maintenance situations.
  • Is this suitable for both rubber and foam tyres? — Absolutely. The Tirefix formula is optimised for bonding both standard rubber RC tyres and foam rubber variants commonly used on RC buggies, truggies, and short-course trucks. The superior filling properties work equally well with both tyre compounds.
  • How many tyre applications does a 25gr container provide? — Depending on your application technique and tyre size, a 25gr container typically provides enough adhesive for approximately 50 to 75 tyre installations, making it excellent value for regular RC enthusiasts maintaining multiple RC cars UK.
  • What is the needle cap and why is it important? — The specially designed needle cap prevents the fine applicator tip from clogging with cured adhesive. This feature is crucial for maintaining consistent application throughout the container's life, preventing waste and ensuring you can continue bonding tyres until the adhesive is fully depleted.
  • Is this product safe to use? — Safety documentation is available in multiple languages (English, German, French, and Dutch). Always follow the provided safety information and use the product in well-ventilated areas, as with all cyanoacrylate adhesives.
