Overview
The Corally Dogbones Long Rear Steel 2 Pcs (C-00180-367) are premium quality drivetrain upgrade components designed for serious RC enthusiasts who demand reliability and performance from their RC models. These hardened steel dogbones are engineered to provide superior durability compared to standard components, making them an essential upgrade for anyone running Corally RC vehicles regularly. Whether you're a competitive racer, a weekend basher, or an experienced RC hobbyist in the UK, these replacement dogbones ensure your rear axle drive system maintains peak performance and longevity. Team Corally's commitment to precision engineering means you're investing in components that will handle the stresses of serious RC driving without compromising on quality.
Dogbones, also known as drive shafts or CV shafts, are critical components in any RC car's drivetrain system. They transfer power from the gearbox to the rear wheels whilst allowing for suspension movement and steering articulation. The rear dogbones in particular endure tremendous stress during acceleration, braking and cornering, which is why upgrading to premium steel components like these Corally replacements can dramatically improve your RC car's reliability and lifespan. These long-format rear dogbones are specifically engineered to fit a wide range of Corally RC vehicles, making them an excellent choice for RC car owners in the UK looking to maintain or upgrade their models.
Each package contains two dogbones, which is the standard configuration needed for most RC vehicles that require rear axle upgrades. The steel construction provides enhanced strength and wear resistance, whilst the CNC-machined and hardened treatment ensures precise fitment and extended service life. If you're experiencing wear on your existing dogbones, hearing clicking sounds from the rear axle, or simply want to prevent future failures, these Corally dogbones represent an intelligent maintenance choice for your RC investment.
Key Features
- Premium Steel Construction — Manufactured from hardened steel rather than aluminium or plastic, these dogbones provide significantly greater strength and durability, which means they can withstand the extreme loads and stresses generated during aggressive driving, jumps, and high-speed cornering without bending or breaking.
- CNC-Machined Precision — Each dogbone is CNC-machined to exact specifications, guaranteeing consistent quality and perfect fitment with your Corally RC vehicle's suspension and drivetrain components, which eliminates play and ensures smooth power delivery.
- Hardened Treatment — The hardening process increases surface hardness and wear resistance, meaning these components will maintain their integrity through countless hours of RC driving and will resist the micro-deformation that occurs with standard components over time.
- Long Format Design — These are specifically engineered as long rear dogbones, which means they're optimised for the rear axle configuration and provide the correct geometry and length for proper suspension articulation and handling characteristics.
- Pack of Two Units — Each package includes two complete dogbones, providing everything needed for a complete rear axle upgrade or replacement on compatible Corally RC vehicles.
- Wide Compatibility Range — These dogbones are engineered to fit multiple Corally RC vehicle models including the Kagama XP 6S series, Kronos models, Dementor series, Shogun variants, Muraco, Jambo, and Punisher platforms, making them versatile spares for Corally enthusiasts.
- OEM Corally Component — As official Team Corally parts, you can be confident these are genuine components designed and tested by the vehicle manufacturers themselves, ensuring perfect compatibility and performance.
Technical Performance
The Corally Dogbones Long Rear Steel 2 Pcs represent a significant upgrade in drivetrain performance and longevity. With a total length of 136 millimetres (measured pin to pin on the outside), these dogbones are specifically dimensioned for rear axle applications on Corally's range of RC vehicles. The shaft tube features a diameter of 4.5 millimetres, providing the optimal balance between strength and weight, whilst the pin dimensions of 3 x 12.8 millimetres ensure secure engagement with both the differential and wheel hubs. The ball end diameter of 7.8 millimetres facilitates smooth articulation and prevents binding during suspension travel. The CNC-machined and hardened steel construction means these components exhibit superior performance in both high-speed and technical driving scenarios. The hardening treatment significantly extends the service life of the dogbones compared to untreated steel or aluminium alternatives, reducing the frequency of replacement and providing excellent value for money. These specifications make them an ideal choice for RC car owners who operate their vehicles in demanding conditions, whether on high-grip on-road surfaces, loose off-road terrain, or during competitive racing. The black finish resists corrosion and maintains a professional appearance, whilst the robust engineering means these dogbones can be expected to outlast multiple replacement cycles of lesser-quality components, making them a cost-effective long-term investment for your RC fleet.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Which Corally RC vehicles do these rear dogbones fit? — These long rear steel dogbones are compatible with a comprehensive range of Corally models including the Kagama XP 6S (both roller and RTR versions), Kronos (2020, 2021 and 2022 editions), Kronos XTR (2021 and 2022), Dementor (2020, 2021 and 2022 versions), Shogun (2020, 2021 and 2022 series), Muraco (2021 and 2022), Jambo (2021 and 2022), and Punisher 2021. Check your vehicle's model code against this compatibility list before ordering.
- When should I replace the dogbones on my RC car? — You should consider replacing your dogbones when you notice clicking or popping sounds coming from the rear axle during driving, when you observe visible bending or deformation of the existing components, when the rear axle exhibits excessive play or looseness, or as preventative maintenance if you drive frequently in challenging conditions. Many RC enthusiasts upgrade to these hardened steel versions proactively to prevent failures during important races or driving sessions.
- What's the difference between steel dogbones and aluminium dogbones? — Steel dogbones like these Corally components offer significantly greater strength and durability compared to aluminium alternatives. Whilst aluminium is lighter, it's more prone to bending under load and doesn't maintain its shape as well during repeated stress cycles. The hardened steel construction here provides superior longevity and reliability, making them the preferred choice for serious RC enthusiasts who prioritise durability over minimal weight savings.
- Are these genuine Team Corally parts? — Yes, the C-00180-367 is an official Team Corally original equipment manufacture part, meaning it's designed, engineered and tested by Corally themselves. This guarantees perfect compatibility with your vehicle and ensures you're receiving the same quality components that come factory-installed on new Corally RC vehicles.
- Do I need to perform any special installation or setup? — These dogbones install directly into the existing pivot points on your Corally vehicle's differential and wheel hubs. Installation is straightforward for anyone with basic RC maintenance experience, though you may want to consult your vehicle's manual for specific torque specifications to avoid over-tightening the pivot pins.
- What is the advantage of hardened steel over standard steel? — The hardening treatment applied to these dogbones increases the surface hardness significantly, which improves wear resistance and prevents the micro-deformation that occurs with untreated steel. This means hardened components maintain their precise dimensions and geometry longer, resulting in better handling characteristics and fewer replacement cycles over the lifetime of your RC vehicle.
