Overview

The Corally Shock Spring Hard Rear 2 Pcs (C-00180-288) is an essential suspension tuning component for serious RC enthusiasts looking to optimise their Corally RC car's handling and performance. Whether you're a dedicated racer fine-tuning your setup or an experienced basher seeking better responsiveness, these hard rear shock springs deliver the precision adjustment you need. As a recognised spare part and tuning upgrade for Corally's extensive range of 1/10 scale models, these springs represent a cost-effective way to elevate your RC car's suspension geometry and overall track behaviour.

These genuine Corally shock springs are engineered from high-quality spring steel and represent the manufacturer's specification for suspension tuning across their popular model lineup including the Kagama, Kronos, Dementor, Shogun, Punisher, Jambo, Muraco and Asuga XLR platforms. Hard springs are the ideal choice when you need to increase suspension stiffness for more responsive handling, reduced body roll in corners, and improved stability on technical terrain. Available now at RC Model Shop, these springs come as a pair—enough to upgrade both rear shocks on your RC car in one purchase.

Built to exacting manufacturing standards and colour-coded for easy identification, the Corally Shock Spring Hard Rear offers the durability and reliability you expect from an official Corally spare part. Whether you're competing at your local RC track, bashing at the weekend, or simply maintaining your RC car collection, having genuine replacement springs in your spares box is essential. Order these hard rear shock springs today and experience the difference precision suspension tuning can make to your RC car UK experience.

Key Features

  • Spring steel construction — Manufactured from durable spring steel material, these shocks are engineered to withstand repeated compression, extension and the demanding stresses of competitive RC racing and aggressive bashing without losing their tension or performance characteristics.
  • Hard specification rating — The hard rating means these springs provide increased stiffness compared to softer alternatives, which reduces suspension travel and body roll whilst improving handling precision and responsiveness, particularly beneficial on smooth tracks and technical courses.
  • 1.8mm wire diameter — The 1.8mm thickness is the manufacturer-specified standard for Corally shock springs, ensuring compatibility and consistent performance across the entire Corally model range without modification or adaptation.
  • 95-97mm length — Precisely engineered length dimensions match the factory specifications for rear shock installations on all compatible Corally models, guaranteeing correct ride height, suspension geometry and optimal handling balance.
  • Pair supply format — You receive two shock springs in this package, providing enough springs to upgrade both rear shocks on your RC car, eliminating the need to purchase multiple packs for a complete suspension refresh.
  • Genuine manufacturer parts — As official Corally components, these springs are guaranteed to be authentic parts engineered to the exact specifications and tolerances demanded by Corally's engineering team and quality assurance processes.
  • Extensive model compatibility — These rear springs are engineered to fit over 20 Corally 1/10 scale models including the Kagama XP 6S, Kronos, Kronos XTR, Dementor, Shogun, Punisher, Jambo, Muraco, Asuga XLR and Sketer platforms, making them a versatile addition to any Corally owner's spares collection.
  • Easy identification — Colour-coded design allows you to quickly identify hard springs from softer variants in your spares box, preventing mix-ups during setup changes and suspension tuning sessions.

Technical Performance

The Corally Shock Spring Hard Rear exemplifies precision engineering in RC suspension components. Manufactured from premium spring steel with a 1.8mm wire diameter, these springs are engineered to provide consistent, reliable performance through hundreds of suspension cycles without fatigue, sagging or permanent deformation. The 95-97mm length specification is critical to maintaining correct ride height geometry on your Corally model, directly affecting how the suspension compresses under acceleration, braking and cornering forces. Hard springs offer increased stiffness compared to medium or soft variants, which means your suspension will have less vertical travel and quicker response to bumps and track imperfections. This characteristic makes hard springs ideal for RC car owners who prioritise handling precision and reduced body roll during high-speed cornering, particularly on smooth tarmac surfaces, groomed dirt tracks or technical circuit layouts. The springs' performance directly impacts your RC car's overall handling balance, traction characteristics and driver feel—upgrade to hard springs when you want more feedback from the chassis and quicker, more direct steering response. These springs are manufactured to match the exact specifications of the original equipment fitted to new Corally vehicles, ensuring plug-and-play compatibility without any modification, measurement adjustment or specialist installation knowledge required.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the difference between hard, medium and soft shock springs for RC cars? — Hard springs provide increased stiffness and reduced suspension travel, offering more responsive handling and reduced body roll, making them ideal for smooth tracks and technical precision driving. Medium springs offer a balanced compromise between comfort and responsiveness, whilst soft springs provide maximum suspension travel and compliance, better for rough terrain and high-speed bashing. Your choice should match your driving style and track surface—hard springs suit circuit racing and competitive driving, whilst softer springs excel in off-road bashers and rough-terrain RC models.
  • Will these Corally shock springs fit my RC car? — These hard rear springs are engineered to fit over 20 Corally 1/10 scale models including the Kagama XP 6S, Kronos series, Dementor, Shogun, Punisher, Jambo, Muraco and Asuga XLR platforms. Check your specific model against the compatibility list to confirm these springs will work with your vehicle. If you're unsure of your model number, measure your existing springs or contact our team at RC Model Shop for assistance identifying the correct components for your setup.
  • How often should I replace my RC car shock springs? — Shock springs are one of the most durable suspension components and typically last for years of regular use. However, if you notice reduced suspension responsiveness, permanent sagging, or visible damage to the spring coils, replacement is recommended. Hard springs may eventually lose some stiffness after thousands of compression cycles, particularly in competitive racing environments where springs experience constant stress. Having spare springs in your RC hobby box ensures you can quickly restore your car's handling characteristics without waiting for replacement parts.
  • Can I mix hard and soft springs on the same RC car? — Mixing spring rates (hard front with soft rear, for example) is an advanced tuning technique used by experienced RC racers to fine-tune handling balance and weight transfer characteristics. However, for most drivers, matching spring rates front and rear provides more consistent, predictable handling. If you're exploring mixed spring setups, we recommend consulting Corally's tuning guide or speaking with experienced RC car setup experts at your local RC track.
  • What tools do I need to install these shock springs? — Installing shock springs is straightforward and requires minimal tools—typically just a small screwdriver or spring compressor tool to remove the shock cap or retaining collar, slide off the old spring and fit the new one. Most Corally shocks feature tool-free spring access, though a spring compressor tool (available at RC Model Shop) makes the job easier and safer by securing the spring during installation and removal, preventing accidental release.
  • Are these springs suitable for both track racing and casual bashing? — Hard springs are optimised for track racing and precision driving where responsive handling and minimal body roll are advantages. Casual bashers may find hard springs feel too stiff on rough terrain compared to medium or soft options, which provide more compliance and comfort. However, many RC enthusiasts use hard springs for all-round driving and find the enhanced handling more than compensates for slightly reduced suspension comfort.
