Overview

The Team Associated HD CVA Bones 78.5mm (AS92548) are genuine factory replacement drivetrain components designed to keep your RC car running smoothly. Whether you're a dedicated Team Associated enthusiast maintaining your RC10B84D or RC10B84, or simply looking for authentic spare parts for your RC buggy, these HD CVA bones are the perfect solution. As an essential service item for classic RC10 B84 models, they ensure your vehicle's drivetrain remains in peak condition for competitive racing or weekend bashing. These are not aftermarket substitutes – they are the exact same components that Team Associated engineers specify for their vehicles, making them the only choice for serious RC car UK hobbyists who demand reliability and authenticity.

CVA (Constant Velocity Axle) bones are critical components in any RC buggy or competition vehicle. They connect the differential to the wheels and transmit power through the suspension's full range of motion without binding or resistance. The 78.5mm length of these HD bones is precisely engineered to match the specification for the RC10B84D and RC10B84, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance. When your existing CVA bones wear out – which is inevitable with regular use – replacing them with genuine Team Associated parts maintains the handling characteristics and reliability your RC car was designed to deliver. Stock these in your spares box for quick roadside repairs at the track or field.

RC Model Shop holds genuine Team Associated stock, ensuring you receive authentic factory components backed by Team Associated's quality assurance. Whether you're preparing for a competition season or simply maintaining your beloved classic RC buggy, the HD CVA Bones 78.5mm are an essential spare that every Team Associated RC10B84 owner should have on hand.

Technical Performance

The Team Associated HD CVA Bones 78.5mm represent the engineering standards that have made Team Associated a trusted name in RC racing for generations. CVA bones are precision-engineered drivetrain components that allow your RC buggy's suspension to move through its full range of motion whilst maintaining constant power delivery to the wheels. The 78.5mm length is critical – too short and you'll experience binding and handling issues; too long and you'll lose suspension geometry. These genuine factory parts are manufactured to exact tolerances using high-quality materials that resist wear from repeated acceleration, braking and cornering forces. In competitive RC buggy racing, where milliseconds separate winners from second place, having drivetrain components that maintain their original geometry and performance characteristics is essential. The HD designation indicates reinforced construction specifically designed to handle the demanding environment of competitive RC racing. Whether you're running a high-performance brushless RC buggy or maintaining a classic nitro-powered platform, these CVA bones deliver the reliability and performance that Team Associated vehicles demand. The engineering behind these components reflects decades of racing experience, ensuring that when you install them, your RC car performs exactly as its designers intended.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these genuine Team Associated parts or aftermarket replacements? — These are genuine factory components supplied under the official Team Associated part number AS92548. They are the exact same parts specified by Team Associated engineers for the RC10B84D and RC10B84, not aftermarket substitutes or copies.
  • Which RC cars are these HD CVA bones compatible with? — These 78.5mm bones are specifically engineered for Team Associated RC10B84D and RC10B84 models. Consult your vehicle manual to confirm size and placement before installation, as different RC buggy models may require different CVA bone lengths.
  • What does the 78.5mm length specification mean? — The 78.5mm measurement refers to the total length of the CVA bone from one end to the other. This precise length is critical for proper suspension geometry and drivetrain performance; using the wrong length can cause binding, handling issues or drivetrain damage.
  • Why are CVA bones important in an RC buggy? — CVA bones are the critical link between your differential and wheels, transmitting power whilst allowing your suspension to move through its full range without binding. Worn or damaged bones result in poor handling, noise and potential drivetrain failure.
  • How often do I need to replace my CVA bones? — CVA bones are wear items that require replacement based on usage. Racing teams may replace them regularly, whilst casual RC car UK users might go longer between replacements. Inspect them regularly for cracks or damage, and replace if you notice handling changes or drivetrain noise.
  • Do I need any special tools to install these CVA bones? — No special tools are required. Simply remove your old CVA bones and install the new ones following the instructions in your RC10B84D or RC10B84 manual for correct placement and orientation.
  • Can I use these on other Team Associated models? — These bones are specifically sized at 78.5mm for the RC10B84D and RC10B84. Other Team Associated models may require different lengths. Always verify the correct part number and length for your specific RC vehicle before purchase.
