Overview
The Team Associated AS92523 Steering Links and Pivot Ball Sockets are essential replacement components designed specifically for the RC10B84 platform, one of the most iconic competition-grade RC buggies available to UK RC enthusiasts. Whether you are running your RC car UK on the track, at the skate park, or enjoying weekend bashing sessions, the steering system is critical to maintaining responsive and precise handling. These genuine Associated steering linkage components ensure your RC buggy maintains the exact steering geometry and performance characteristics that Team Associated engineered into the RC10B84D and RC10B84 designs.
If you are an experienced RC racer or a dedicated hobbyist who demands authenticity and reliability from your equipment, having spare steering links and pivot ball sockets on hand is essential maintenance practice. Over time, even the best-engineered steering components can wear, and worn steering hardware can introduce play, inconsistency and unpredictable handling behaviour into your RC buggy. The AS92523 gives you the opportunity to refresh your steering system with factory-correct parts that restore the tight, responsive steering feel your RC10B84 was designed to deliver. This is not a compromise upgrade or a generic alternative—this is genuine Team Associated engineering matched to your specific model.
RC Model Shop stocks this part because we understand that serious RC enthusiasts in the UK need access to genuine OEM spares that keep their machines performing at their best. Whether you are preparing for club racing, training runs, or simply maintaining your collection to the highest standard, the AS92523 is a straightforward and essential addition to your spares box.

Technical Performance
The steering system is one of the most critical aspects of RC buggy performance, and Team Associated has engineered the RC10B84 platform with precision steering geometry that demands quality components. The AS92523 steering links and pivot ball sockets are manufactured to tight tolerances and designed to minimise play and deflection during aggressive driving. Pivot ball sockets are load-bearing components that experience constant articulation as you steer your RC buggy through corners, transitions, and track features. Quality ball sockets maintain smooth, consistent steering response without binding or stiction that could degrade handling precision. When these components wear, you may notice increased steering lag, uneven steering response, or a vague feeling through the steering wheel. Fresh steering links and pivot ball sockets restore the direct, responsive steering feel that makes the RC10B84 such a capable track machine. The engineering and material selection in genuine Team Associated components ensures durability and consistent performance, making the AS92523 a worthwhile investment in maintaining your RC buggy to the standard it deserves.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the difference between the RC10B84 and RC10B84D? — Both models use the same AS92523 steering links and pivot ball sockets, so this part is compatible with both versions of the RC10B84 platform.
- How often should I replace my steering links and ball sockets? — This depends on your usage intensity and driving style. Regular inspection for wear and play is recommended, especially if you notice changes in steering response or consistency. Keeping spare sets on hand ensures you can refresh worn components without extended downtime.
- Why buy genuine Team Associated parts instead of aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine OEM parts are engineered to exact specifications for your specific model, guaranteeing proper fitment, function, and performance characteristics. Aftermarket parts may introduce inconsistencies or compatibility issues that affect handling.
- Can I install these myself? — The AS92523 is a spare parts component that requires disassembly of your RC buggy's steering system. If you are experienced with RC maintenance and have the necessary tools, installation is straightforward. If you are uncertain, RC Model Shop can provide guidance or you may wish to seek assistance from an experienced RC technician.
- Is this suitable for beginners? — This is a spare parts component rather than a beginner-focused product. However, beginners who own an RC10B84 can benefit from understanding the importance of maintaining steering components and keeping spares on hand as they develop their RC skills and experience.
- Why would I need spare steering links and ball sockets? — Steering components wear with use, and having spares allows you to perform maintenance and repairs without downtime. For competitive racers and serious enthusiasts, fresh steering hardware is essential for maintaining peak performance and consistent handling characteristics.
