Overview

The TEAM ASSOCIATED RC10B74.2 FT Centre Dogbone Blades (AS92374) are genuine Factory Team replacement parts designed specifically for the RC10B74 series platform. These plastic blades form a critical component of the centre driveline assembly, acting as the contact surface between the dogbone pins and outdrives. Whether you're maintaining your RC car UK setup or refreshing worn components after intensive racing, these authentic Associated parts ensure your drivetrain continues to perform at its best. As an authorised retailer of Team Associated products, RC Model Shop stocks this genuine spare to keep your RC buggy in peak condition.

Factory Team has engineered these dogbone blades as part of their innovative Lightweight Centre Driveline Kit, which reduces rotational mass by an impressive 19.3 grams compared to standard steel parts. The plastic construction of these blades serves a dual purpose: not only does it help achieve weight reduction, but it also protects the dogbone interface by acting as a sacrificial contact surface. This design philosophy prioritises durability and longevity, extending the lifespan of your more expensive drivetrain components and reducing wear and tear on the outdrives and pins during competitive racing or casual bashing sessions.

If you're running a ready to run RC 10th scale buggy or preparing your RC car for 13.5T spec class racing, these replacement blades are an essential spare to have on hand. They fit seamlessly across the entire RC10B74 family of vehicles, making them a versatile upgrade for multiple models and generations of this proven platform.

Key Features

  • Genuine Factory Team Parts — These are authentic Associated components manufactured to OEM specifications, ensuring perfect fitment and compatibility with your RC10B74 series vehicle every time you install them.
  • Plastic Blade Construction — The plastic composition acts as a sacrificial contact surface between the dogbone pins and outdrives, protecting more expensive drivetrain components from excessive wear and tear during high-performance racing or bashing.
  • Reduced Rotational Mass — Part of the Factory Team lightweight driveline philosophy, these blades contribute to a total weight reduction of 19.3 grams in the centre driveline assembly, improving acceleration and reducing rotating inertia for better overall performance.
  • Extended Component Longevity — By providing a wear-resistant interface surface, these blades help extend the lifespan of your dogbone pins and outdrives, saving you money on replacement parts in the long term.
  • Wide Compatibility — These blades fit the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D models, making them an essential spare for any Team Associated enthusiast with multiple vehicles from this platform.
  • Designed for 13.5T Spec Racing — Factory Team engineered this component specifically for use in 13.5T spec class racing with a centre differential, ensuring optimal performance in competitive environments.
  • Easy Maintenance Replacement — These blades are simple to replace during routine drivetrain servicing, allowing you to refresh your centre driveline assembly with correct Associated components whenever needed.

Technical Performance

The AS92374 centre dogbone blades represent thoughtful engineering focused on reducing rotating mass whilst maintaining durability. The plastic material specification has been carefully selected to provide an ideal balance: soft enough to act as a wear surface that protects the harder dogbone pins and aluminium outdrives, yet durable enough to withstand the demanding loads encountered in competitive RC racing. The reduction of 19.3 grams total weight in the centre driveline assembly may sound modest, but in the context of 1/10 scale RC buggies, this rotational mass reduction directly translates to improved acceleration response and quicker weight transfer during cornering. These blades are specifically engineered as part of the lightweight driveline kit for use in 13.5T spec class racing with a centre differential configuration, and Factory Team does not recommend their use with modified racing setups or when employing a slipper clutch, as the plastic blade design optimises performance for standard spec racing parameters. The engineering philosophy behind this component emphasises longevity and wear resistance, making it an intelligent choice for both competitive racers who demand consistent performance and hobbyists who want to maximise the lifespan of their RC car components.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are RC10B74 dogbone blades and why do I need them? — Dogbone blades are plastic contact surfaces that sit between the dogbone pins and the outdrives in the centre driveline assembly. Over time, these blades wear down from the friction and load of transferring power to the wheels. Replacing them with genuine TEAM ASSOCIATED parts ensures your drivetrain maintains proper engagement and reduces wear on more expensive components like the aluminium outdrives and steel pins.
  • Can I use these blades on my RC10B74.1 or RC10B74? — Yes, absolutely. These centre dogbone blades are compatible across the entire RC10B74 family, including the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D models, making them a versatile spare part for anyone running any generation of this platform.
  • How much weight do these blades save compared to steel? — As part of the Factory Team Lightweight Centre Driveline Kit, these plastic blades contribute to a total weight reduction of 19.3 grams in the centre driveline assembly compared to standard steel components. This reduction in rotational mass improves acceleration and handling characteristics, which is particularly valuable in competitive 13.5T spec class racing.
  • Are these suitable for modified racing or with a slipper clutch? — No, TEAM ASSOCIATED specifically recommends these blades only for 13.5T spec class racing with a centre differential configuration. They are not designed for use with modified racing setups or when employing a slipper clutch, as the plastic blade construction is optimised for standard spec racing parameters and may not withstand the higher loads or alternative drivetrain configurations.
  • What is the difference between these plastic blades and steel alternatives? — The plastic construction serves dual purposes: it reduces rotational mass for better performance, and it acts as a sacrificial wear surface that protects your more expensive dogbone pins and aluminium outdrives from excessive wear. Steel alternatives would be heavier and less protective of other drivetrain components, whereas these Factory Team blades optimise the entire centre driveline longevity.
  • How often should I replace these blades? — Replacement frequency depends on your usage intensity. Competitive racers may need to refresh these blades more frequently, whilst casual bashers might go longer between replacements. We recommend inspecting your centre driveline regularly and replacing these blades when you notice visible wear, excessive play, or degradation in drivetrain engagement.
  • Are these genuine TEAM ASSOCIATED parts? — Yes, these are 100% authentic Factory Team components manufactured to OEM specifications by TEAM ASSOCIATED. When you purchase from RC Model Shop, you can be confident you are receiving genuine parts with proper quality control and fitment assurance.
