Overview

The TEAM ASSOCIATED RC10B74.2 FT Centre Dogbone Outdrives in aluminium represent a premium upgrade for competitive RC racing enthusiasts in the UK who demand the very best in driveline performance. These lightweight centre outdrives are engineered specifically for the RC10B74 series platform, a renowned 1/10-scale 2WD buggy that dominates the 13.5T spec class racing scene. Whether you're a seasoned competitor preparing your RC buggy for club racing or an experienced hobbyist looking to optimise your driveline setup, these Factory Team outdrives deliver the precision engineering and durability you need to stay competitive on the track.

Part of the Factory Team Lightweight Center Driveline Kit ecosystem, the AS92359 centre dogbone outdrives work in harmony with the complete driveline system to reduce rotational mass and improve overall performance. The use of plastic blade contact surfaces between the dog bone pins and outdrives is a clever engineering solution that addresses both durability and longevity concerns, minimising wear and tear during intense racing sessions. This makes them an excellent choice for serious RC car UK racers who want to maintain their equipment without constant replacement and keep their RC buggy performing at peak efficiency.

Manufactured from high-quality aluminium, these centre outdrives are built to withstand the demands of competitive 13.5T spec class racing with a centre differential setup. They represent the factory team's commitment to innovation in RC racing, combining lightweight construction with robust materials for a perfect balance of performance and reliability.

Key Features

  • Aluminium Construction — Precision-engineered from quality aluminium alloy, these centre dogbone outdrives provide an excellent strength-to-weight ratio that enhances overall driveline responsiveness and reduces parasitic drag in your RC buggy's drivetrain system.
  • Plastic Blade Contact Surface — The innovative plastic blade design acts as the contact surface between the dog bone pins and outdrives, significantly reducing wear and tear on components and extending the service life of your driveline, meaning fewer replacements and lower running costs.
  • Lightweight Design — Part of the Factory Team Lightweight Center Driveline Kit that reduces rotational mass by a total of 19.3g over standard steel parts, this weight reduction directly translates to faster acceleration, improved handling balance, and better overall performance on the racing track.
  • Factory Team Engineered — Developed by TEAM ASSOCIATED's factory team, these outdrives benefit from years of competitive racing experience and engineering expertise, ensuring they meet the demanding requirements of serious RC racers.
  • 13.5T Spec Class Optimised — These outdrives are specifically designed for 13.5T spec class racing when used with a centre differential, giving you a competitive edge in this popular racing class across the UK.
  • Multiple Compatibility — Compatible with the entire RC10B74 series platform including the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D, providing flexibility if you're running multiple chassis or upgrading from an older model.

Technical Performance

The AS92359 centre dogbone outdrives represent a significant step forward in driveline engineering for competitive 1/10-scale RC buggy racing. Constructed from premium aluminium, these components are engineered to exacting specifications that meet the rigorous demands of 13.5T spec class racing in the UK and beyond. The plastic blade contact surface is a breakthrough feature that reduces friction and wear between the dog bone pins and the driving surfaces, extending component lifespan and maintaining consistent performance lap after lap. When combined with the complete Factory Team Lightweight Center Driveline Kit (AS92372), the total weight reduction of 19.3g compared to standard steel driveline components results in measurably improved acceleration response and cornering precision. The reduction in rotational mass means your RC buggy accelerates faster out of corners and maintains better composure through technical sections of the track. These outdrives are engineered specifically for use with a centre differential configuration and should not be used in modified racing applications or with slipper clutches, as this would exceed their intended design parameters and compromise both performance and durability. The precision manufacturing and attention to detail reflect TEAM ASSOCIATED's position as leaders in competitive RC racing equipment across Europe and worldwide.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which RC10B74 models will these centre dogbone outdrives fit? — The AS92359 centre dogbone outdrives are compatible with the RC10B74, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, RC10B74.2, and RC10B74.2D. This wide compatibility means you can use them across multiple chassis in your fleet or upgrade from an older model without purchasing an entirely new driveline system.
  • What performance benefit do these lightweight outdrives provide? — By reducing rotational mass in the centre driveline by 19.3g compared to standard steel parts, these Factory Team outdrives improve acceleration response, reduce drag, and enhance overall handling characteristics. For competitive racing in the 13.5T spec class, these marginal gains add up across a race to provide a measurable advantage.
  • Are these outdrives suitable for all racing styles? — These centre dogbone outdrives are optimised for 13.5T spec class racing with a centre differential and are not recommended for modified racing applications or use with a slipper clutch. If you race in modified classes or use alternative driveline configurations, you may need to consider different components.
  • What makes the plastic blade contact surface better than metal? — The plastic blade design reduces friction and wear between the dog bone pins and outdrives, extending component lifespan and maintaining more consistent performance throughout the racing season. This means less frequent maintenance and replacement, saving you money in the long run.
  • Do I need to purchase the complete Lightweight Center Driveline Kit? — While these centre dogbone outdrives can be used as a standalone replacement or upgrade, TEAM ASSOCIATED recommends pairing them with the complete AS92372 Lightweight Center Driveline Kit for optimal performance and to achieve the full 19.3g weight reduction benefit.
  • Can I use these outdrives with my existing driveline components? — Yes, these centre dogbone outdrives are designed to be compatible with your existing RC10B74 series chassis. However, for best results and to maximise the performance benefits, using them as part of the complete lightweight driveline kit is recommended.
