Overview
The Team Associated 13mm Front Shock Springs in red represent an essential upgrade and tuning component for serious RC car enthusiasts in the UK who demand precision suspension performance. These professionally engineered shock springs are specifically designed for 13mm front damper applications and are recognised as a critical component in achieving optimal handling characteristics on competitive RC buggies and off-road vehicles. Whether you're competing at the track or fine-tuning your RC car UK setup for maximum performance, these springs provide the suspension compliance you need to extract the best performance from your Team Associated platform.
Finished in bright red colour, these shock springs offer more than just visual appeal — the distinctive colouration serves a practical purpose by allowing you to quickly identify and organise your spring selection during setup changes between practice runs and races. This colour-coding system is invaluable when you're managing multiple spring rates across your RC collection and need rapid identification of your suspension components. The Team Associated brand carries decades of heritage in RC racing, and these genuine OEM springs are engineered to exacting standards that professional racers and serious hobbyists have come to expect.
These replacement front shock springs are compatible with a comprehensive range of Team Associated models including the RC10B6.4, RC10B6.4D, RC10B74.2, RC10B74.2D, RC10B7, and RC10B7D platforms, making them a versatile addition to your RC spares collection. If you're building a competitive ready to run RC or maintaining an existing Team Associated race platform, these springs are an essential component for suspension tuning and maintenance.

- 13mm Front Shock Compatibility — These springs are precisely engineered for 13mm front damper applications, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with your RC vehicle's suspension geometry without requiring any modifications or workarounds.
- Bright Red Colour Identification — The distinctive red colouration helps you quickly identify and distinguish these springs from other rates in your spares box, supporting organised and efficient setup changes during competition or practice sessions.
- L44, 6.25T, 1.2D Specifications — These markings represent precise engineering specifications that define the spring's performance characteristics, ensuring consistency and reliability across repeated use and multiple vehicles using the same platform.
- Genuine Team Associated Component — As an authentic OEM part from Team Associated, these springs meet the exact specifications required by the manufacturer and deliver the performance characteristics that engineers and racers expect from genuine components.
- Professional Suspension Tuning — Whether you're a weekend basher or a competitive racer, these springs allow you to fine-tune your suspension setup with precision, enabling you to adapt your RC car UK performance to different track conditions and driving styles.
Technical Performance
The Team Associated 13mm Front Shock Springs represent a critical component in your RC vehicle's suspension system, directly affecting how your car handles bumps, maintains traction through corners, and responds to driver inputs. The 4.0 lb/in spring rate has been carefully selected as a versatile specification suitable for a range of driving conditions and vehicle platforms. Spring rate, measured in pounds per inch (lb/in), directly determines how much force is required to compress the spring by one inch — a lower rate provides a softer, more compliant suspension that excels on rough surfaces and bumpy tracks, whilst a higher rate offers a stiffer, more responsive setup for smooth, technical courses. The L44 length specification ensures proper integration with your 13mm shock absorber, maintaining correct suspension geometry and ride height. The 6.25T and 1.2D specifications refer to additional manufacturing parameters that influence the spring's behaviour under load. Team Associated's manufacturing standards ensure that each spring meets exacting tolerances, providing consistent performance across your RC car collection and enabling reliable, repeatable results in competition or leisure driving. These genuine OEM springs are engineered from high-quality materials designed to withstand the repeated compression and extension cycles inherent to RC driving, providing durability across extended use without premature sagging or performance degradation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these genuine Team Associated front shock springs? — Yes, these are authentic OEM components manufactured by Team Associated. The model number AS91944 and barcode 784695919440 confirm these are genuine products sourced directly from the manufacturer, ensuring they meet exact specifications for your RC vehicle.
- What vehicles are these 13mm front shock springs compatible with? — These springs are designed for Team Associated RC10B6.4, RC10B6.4D, RC10B74.2, RC10B74.2D, RC10B7, and RC10B7D platforms. Always verify your specific model before purchasing to ensure compatibility with your RC car UK platform.
- What does the 4.0 lb/in spring rate mean for my RC setup? — The 4.0 lb/in rating indicates how much force is required to compress the spring by one inch. This is considered a relatively soft spring rate suitable for absorbing bumps and providing compliance on rough tracks. If you need a stiffer setup for smoother courses, Team Associated offers higher rates, whilst softer rates are available for maximum bump absorption.
- Why is the bright red colour important on these shock springs? — The red colour serves as quick visual identification, allowing you to rapidly distinguish these springs from other rates in your spares collection. This is particularly valuable when managing multiple suspension setups across different vehicles or when making frequent setup changes during competition days.
- Can I use these springs on other RC brands besides Team Associated? — These springs are specifically engineered for Team Associated 13mm front shock applications. Whilst the 13mm diameter is relatively common in RC racing, we recommend only using these springs on compatible Team Associated vehicles to ensure proper fitment and suspension geometry. Using incompatible springs may result in suspension binding or poor handling characteristics.
- How often should I replace my front shock springs? — Springs gradually lose their performance characteristics over time due to repeated compression cycles. If you notice your suspension feels softer than expected or your RC vehicle sits lower than before, it's time to replace them. Regular maintenance and replacement ensure consistent handling characteristics and optimal performance throughout the season.
- What is the difference between the L44, 6.25T, and 1.2D markings? — These specifications represent precise engineering parameters defined by Team Associated. L44 indicates the length, whilst 6.25T and 1.2D refer to additional manufacturing specifications affecting the spring's rate and behaviour. These markings ensure you're purchasing the exact spring suited to your suspension requirements.
