Overview
The Associated B6.2 CVA Bones (69mm) AS91860 are genuine OEM drivetrain components manufactured by Associated, one of the most respected names in RC car UK engineering and competition racing. These CVA bones are precision-engineered replacement parts designed specifically for the Associated B6.2 platform, a legendary 1/10 scale 2WD competition buggy that has dominated the RC racing scene for years. Whether you're a dedicated racer maintaining your competition machine, a weekend basher keeping your RC car in peak condition, or a hobby enthusiast undertaking routine maintenance, these authentic Associated spare parts are essential for restoring smooth, efficient power transfer through your vehicle's drivetrain.
CVA bones are critical drivetrain components that connect the differential assembly to the axle shafts, transmitting power from the motor through the gearbox to the wheels. Over time, these components can wear due to the intense stresses of RC racing, bashing, or regular use. The 69mm length specification makes these bones specifically compatible with the B6.2 platform, ensuring perfect fitment and optimal performance. By choosing genuine Associated parts, you're investing in components engineered to the same exacting standards as your RC buggy itself, guaranteeing compatibility and reliability that aftermarket alternatives simply cannot match.
If you're searching for a ready to run RC car UK replacement part or you already own an Associated B6.2 and need to keep it running at its best, these CVA bones are exactly what you need. Supplied directly from Associated under part number AS91860, you can be confident you're getting an authentic component that will restore your buggy's performance and longevity. Stock a spare set for your pit box, replace worn components before they cause damage, or keep your B6.2 running like new with these precision drivetrain bones.

Technical Performance
The Associated B6.2 CVA Bones represent the pinnacle of precision engineering in RC drivetrain components. These bones are manufactured to exacting tolerances using quality materials selected for strength, durability, and consistent performance under the extreme stresses of RC buggy racing and off-road use. The 69mm length is specifically calculated for the B6.2 chassis geometry and CVA assembly configuration, ensuring that power is transmitted efficiently from the motor through the gearbox and differential to the wheels with minimal vibration or play. Unlike universal or aftermarket alternatives that may introduce unwanted slack into your drivetrain, genuine Associated bones maintain the precise spacing and alignment required for smooth, responsive handling. Whether you're running a brushless motor pumping out serious power through a high-ratio transmission, or you're bashing with a more modest brushed setup, these CVA bones will handle the demands reliably. The engineering principles used in these components have been refined over decades of competitive RC racing, where even the smallest improvements in drivetrain efficiency translate to faster lap times and more consistent performance. For anyone serious about keeping their Associated B6.2 running at peak performance, whether for racing or recreational use, these OEM bones are an essential part of any pit kit and maintenance schedule.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What exactly are CVA bones and why do I need them? — CVA stands for constant velocity axle, and the bones are the connecting components that transfer power from your differential to the wheel axles. They're essential drivetrain components that wear over time with use. If your B6.2 feels sluggish, has play in the drivetrain, or you've had a hard impact that damaged your existing bones, replacing them will restore smooth power delivery and maintain optimal performance. These are wear items that competition racers and serious bashers keep as spares.
- How do I know if my CVA bones need replacing? — Signs that your bones may need replacement include: noticeable play or clicking in the drivetrain when accelerating or decelerating, sluggish power delivery compared to when your buggy was new, visible damage or cracking to the existing bones, or if you've had a significant crash that impacted the drivetrain area. It's also good practice to replace them during routine maintenance after heavy use or competition.
- Is this part compatible with other Associated B-series buggies? — These 69mm bones are specifically engineered for the B6.2 platform. Associated also produces B6.3, B6.4, and B6.4D variants, each with their own specifications. Always match the 69mm length and part number AS91860 with your manual to confirm correct application before ordering. Using incorrect length bones can result in poor fitment and unreliable performance.
- Are these genuine Associated parts or aftermarket replacements? — These are 100% genuine Associated OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts supplied under the official part number AS91860. They're manufactured to Associated's exacting standards and specifications, ensuring perfect compatibility and reliability. This guarantees you're getting authentic factory components rather than third-party alternatives.
- How often should I replace my CVA bones? — This depends heavily on usage. Competitive racers might replace bones every few months or even more frequently depending on track intensity. Weekend bashers might go 6-12 months between replacements. It's wise to inspect them regularly and keep spare sets in your pit box so you're never without this critical component if they fail during a session.
- What's the difference between OEM Associated bones and aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine Associated bones are engineered to precise tolerances using quality materials selected specifically for the B6.2 platform. They've been tested extensively in competitive racing environments and proven reliable. Aftermarket alternatives may introduce play, inconsistency, or compatibility issues. For serious racers and hobbyists who want their RC car to perform reliably, genuine OEM parts from Associated are always the better investment.
