Technical Performance
The Team Associated Front Shock Springs represent the pinnacle of precision suspension engineering for competitive RC racing platforms. Built with meticulous attention to detail, these springs are manufactured using high-quality spring steel that maintains consistent characteristics throughout extended use. The 4.60 lb/in spring rate has been carefully selected to provide an excellent balance between suspension compliance and responsiveness, allowing your RC car to absorb track irregularities whilst maintaining predictable handling behaviour. At 44mm in length, these springs deliver optimal compression and extension characteristics for the shock absorbers fitted to modern Associated RC buggies and trucks. The manufacturing process ensures that both springs in a pair maintain identical characteristics, eliminating any asymmetrical suspension behaviour that could compromise handling consistency. The red colour coding utilises a durable finish that resists fading from repeated use, UV exposure, and general handling, ensuring the springs remain easily identifiable throughout their service life. Whether you're running tight competition tracks, loose dirt surfaces, or mixed-condition racing venues, the performance characteristics of these springs allow you to maintain competitive lap times whilst reducing the likelihood of suspension-related handling issues. Team Associated's commitment to precision engineering means that these springs will maintain their spring rate consistency over thousands of compression cycles, providing reliable long-term performance for both casual enthusiasts and serious competitors throughout the UK RC racing community.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What vehicles are these front shock springs compatible with? — These genuine Team Associated springs (AS91835) are specifically designed to fit the front shock towers of multiple Associated RC vehicle platforms including the RC10B64D, RC10B64, RC10B64 Club Racer, RC10B6.1, RC10B6.1D, RC10T6.1, RC10SC6.1, RC10B74, RC10B6.1DL, RC10B6.2, RC10B6.2D, RC10B74.1, RC10B74.1D, SR10, RC10B6.3, RC10B6.3D, RB10, and SR10M Dirt Oval models. Always verify compatibility with your specific vehicle before ordering to ensure proper fitment.
- How do spring rates affect RC car handling? — Spring rate, measured in lb/in, determines how much resistance the spring provides when compressed. The 4.60 lb/in rating on these springs offers a moderate rate suitable for many track conditions. Softer springs (lower lb/in) provide better bump absorption and traction but may reduce stability, whilst stiffer springs (higher lb/in) provide better stability and responsiveness but may reduce traction on bumpy surfaces. Testing different spring rates is essential for finding the optimal setup for your specific driving style and track conditions.
- Why is the red colour important on these shock springs? — The bright red colour serves as a practical visual identifier when you're swapping springs during setup tuning or maintenance. When you have multiple spring rates on hand, the colour coding helps you quickly identify which springs are installed on your vehicle and which are in your spares box, preventing accidental installation of incorrect spring rates and ensuring consistent performance during competitive sessions.
- What is the difference between these springs and aftermarket alternatives? — These are genuine OEM Team Associated components manufactured to precise specifications by the original equipment manufacturer. Authentic Team Associated springs ensure perfect compatibility with your vehicle's suspension geometry, consistent spring rate characteristics, and the durability expected from genuine parts. Aftermarket alternatives may vary in manufacturing tolerances, material quality, and spring rate consistency, potentially compromising handling predictability.
- How often should I replace these shock springs? — Shock springs maintain their characteristics over thousands of compression cycles, so replacement is typically only necessary if you notice sagging, inconsistent spring rates, or permanent deformation. However, many serious racers replace springs regularly as part of comprehensive setup maintenance to ensure absolute consistency. Casual users can expect years of reliable service before replacement becomes necessary.
- Can I use these springs on different vehicles? — These springs are specifically engineered for the shock towers and suspension geometry of compatible Team Associated vehicles. Attempting to fit them to non-compatible vehicles may result in poor fitment, incorrect suspension geometry, and compromised handling. Always verify fitment with your specific vehicle model before installation.
