Overview
The Associated AS91722 B6/B6.1/B64/B74 Ballcups are genuine OEM spare parts designed for serious RC enthusiasts and competitive racers who demand reliability and consistent performance from their RC buggies. Whether you're running a B6, B6D, B6.1, B64 or B74 platform, these ballcups are essential maintenance components that keep your suspension operating smoothly and predictably on the track. As genuine Associated parts, they guarantee perfect fitment and compatibility with your RC car, eliminating any guesswork when ordering spares for your pit box.
Ballcups are critical suspension components that connect your suspension arms to the chassis, allowing smooth articulation whilst maintaining structural integrity under cornering forces and landing impacts. Over time, these components wear down through normal use, leading to looseness, unpredictable handling, and potential damage to other suspension parts. Keeping a spare set of AS91722 ballcups in your pit box means you can quickly swap out worn components and maintain consistent operation throughout a racing session or weekend of bashing. This is why every serious RC car UK enthusiast should stock genuine OEM ballcups for their platform.
The clear AS91722 part number helps ensure you select the correct ballcups for your platform, preventing costly installation errors and compatibility issues. As an authorised Associated distributor, RC Model Shop stocks these genuine spares so you can focus on driving rather than tracking down hard-to-find parts.

Technical Performance
Ballcups are precision-engineered suspension connectors that play a fundamental role in buggy geometry and handling characteristics. As wear-resistant components subject to constant stress during acceleration, braking, cornering and landing impacts, OEM quality is essential to maintain the tight tolerances and smooth operation your Associated B6, B6.1, B64 or B74 demands. The AS91722 ballcups maintain proper suspension arm positioning and alignment, directly influencing your RC car's responsiveness to steering inputs, traction characteristics on different track surfaces, and stability when landing jumps. Unlike cheap aftermarket alternatives that loosen quickly, genuine Associated ballcups maintain their fit and function throughout extended racing sessions. The engineering precision in these components ensures that suspension geometry remains consistent, preventing the handling drift that occurs when worn ballcups allow excess play in the suspension linkage. Whether you're racing competitively on circuit tracks or enjoying weekend bashing sessions, the consistent performance of quality ballcups translates directly into confidence and control.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Are these genuine Associated ballcups or aftermarket copies? — The AS91722 are genuine OEM Associated factory parts, not aftermarket alternatives. This guarantees authentic quality, precise engineering and perfect compatibility with your B6, B6.1, B64 or B74 buggy without any modification or fitment issues.
- How often should I replace my ballcups on my RC buggy? — Ballcup wear depends on driving intensity, surface type and climate. Frequent racers might replace them every few months, whilst casual bashers might go longer. You'll know they need replacement when you notice looseness in your suspension, unpredictable handling, or visible play when you manipulate the suspension arms by hand. Keeping spare AS91722 ballcups in your pit box means you can replace them as soon as wear becomes noticeable, maintaining consistent performance.
- Which Associated models are compatible with the AS91722 ballcups? — The AS91722 ballcups are compatible with B6, B6D, B6.1, B64 and B74 platforms. If you own multiple Associated buggies across these platforms, a single spares pack works across all five models, making this a versatile investment for your RC car collection.
- Why is it important to stock spare ballcups in my pit box? — Ballcups wear under normal driving and can fail suddenly if pushed beyond their service life. By stocking genuine AS91722 spares, you can replace worn ballcups immediately without waiting for delivery, eliminating downtime during competition or practice sessions. This is why serious RC racers UK-wide keep OEM spares on hand.
- Is this a beginner-friendly replacement part? — Ballcup replacement is a straightforward maintenance task suitable for intermediate RC hobbyists with basic mechanical knowledge. Beginners should consider having an experienced RC technician perform the installation initially to ensure correct fitment and suspension geometry setup.
- How much do replacement ballcups cost? — At £8.07 (RRP £8.49), the AS91722 ballcups represent excellent value for genuine OEM suspension spares, making them an affordable way to maintain your Associated buggy's performance and prevent more expensive suspension damage.
