As an authorised Associated dealer, RC Model Shop stocks these genuine rear suspension arms as part of our comprehensive range of 1/8 scale RC buggy spares and upgrades. The RC8B3.2 platform has established itself as a proven competition-grade machine, and maintaining your suspension with quality original parts is crucial for consistent performance on the track. These rear arms represent the same engineering standards and manufacturing precision that professional team drivers depend upon when competing at the highest levels of RC motorsport.

If you're involved in competitive RC racing in the UK or simply want to keep your RC8B3.2 or RC8B3.2e running at peak performance, having genuine replacement rear suspension arms in your spare parts collection is essential. Track damage, normal wear and tear, or setup experimentation may necessitate replacement arms, and genuine Associated parts ensure perfect compatibility and reliable performance every time you hit the track.

Key Features

  • Genuine Associated Spare Part — This is an authentic Associated component, meaning you get the exact same engineering, material quality and fit tolerances that came on your RC8B3.2 or RC8B3.2e from the factory, with no risk of compatibility issues or reduced performance.
  • Designed for RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e Platforms — These rear suspension arms are purpose-engineered for the RC8B3.2 buggy and RC8B3.2e electric variants, ensuring seamless integration with your existing chassis, suspension geometry and handling characteristics without any modification required.
  • Heavy Duty Material Option Available — Associated offers these arms in an upgraded HD (Heavy Duty) polymer material that provides a stiffer suspension platform and increased durability compared to standard materials, making them ideal for aggressive driving, rough track conditions, or drivers who prefer a more responsive setup.
  • Professional Team-Proven Design — These suspension arms have been tested and validated by professional Associated team drivers, including Spencer Rivkin who achieved second place at the Southern Indoor Championships in January 2021 and third place in the electric buggy category at the Dirt Nitro Challenge, demonstrating their reliability at competitive levels.
  • Critical Suspension Component — The rear suspension arms are fundamental to your buggy's handling, stability and steering response, directly affecting how well your RC vehicle turns, how planted it feels through corners, and how effectively the suspension geometry maintains traction across varying terrain.
  • Easy Replacement and Installation — As a straightforward bolt-on spare part, these rear suspension arms can be replaced quickly during maintenance or after track damage, getting your RC8B3.2 back to racing condition without requiring extensive disassembly or special tools.
  • UK RC Shop Stock — Available through RC Model Shop, a trusted UK retailer specialising in 1/8 scale RC buggies and trucks, with prompt delivery across the UK and expert advice from experienced RC enthusiasts who understand competitive RC racing requirements.

Technical Performance

The Associated RC8B3.2/RC8B3.2e Rear Suspension Arms represent the culmination of years of suspension engineering experience from one of the most respected names in competitive RC buggy racing. These components are manufactured to the exacting tolerances required for precision racing machines, where even minor variations in suspension arm geometry can affect lap times and overall handling balance. The rear suspension arms work in conjunction with your RC buggy's shock absorbers, anti-roll bars and chassis to create a cohesive suspension system that maintains consistent contact patch pressure through high-speed corners, over jump landings and through technical sections of track. The arm geometry directly influences your buggy's roll stiffness, bump steer characteristics and overall stability platform. For 1/8 scale RC buggy racing, suspension geometry is absolutely critical to competitive performance, and genuine OEM (original equipment manufacturer) components ensure that your suspension geometry remains precisely as Associated engineered it. The polymer material used in standard arms provides an excellent balance between compliance and durability, whilst the optional HD material variant delivers increased stiffness for drivers who prefer a more responsive, less compliant setup or who regularly push their equipment to the limit in competitive environments. Professional team drivers rely on these components because they trust the engineering, the build quality and the consistency that genuine Associated parts deliver. Whether you're competing in national championships, club-level racing, or simply want your weekend RC buggy to handle like a precision-engineered racing machine, using genuine suspension arms ensures your platform remains true to the design specifications that make the RC8B3.2 such a competitive package.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are these genuine Associated parts or aftermarket copies? — These are 100% genuine Associated original equipment components, manufactured by Associated Electrics and sold through authorised retailers like RC Model Shop. Genuine parts guarantee perfect fit, proper material specifications and performance characteristics that match your buggy's original engineering.
  • What is the difference between standard and HD material rear suspension arms? — Associated offers two material options for these rear suspension arms. The standard polymer material provides excellent all-round performance and durability for general racing and bashing. The optional HD (Heavy Duty) polymer material is stiffer and more durable, offering increased suspension platform rigidity and enhanced durability for aggressive driving, rough track surfaces, or drivers who prefer a more responsive, less compliant setup. The HD material is specific to 1/8 scale vehicles and is not quite as stiff as the hard or carbon materials used in the 1/10 series RC cars.
  • Do these suspension arms fit both the RC8B3.2 and RC8B3.2e? — Yes, these rear suspension arms are compatible with both the RC8B3.2 petrol-powered buggy and the RC8B3.2e electric variant, as the suspension geometry is identical between both versions of this platform.
  • Will I need to adjust my suspension geometry after installing new arms? — As long as you're installing genuine Associated replacement arms, your suspension geometry will remain unchanged from the factory specification, so no suspension setup adjustments are necessary beyond any changes you might want to make for setup tuning purposes.
  • How often should I inspect or replace my suspension arms? — Regular inspection after races or intense bashing sessions is recommended. Replace arms if you notice visible cracks, significant bending, worn insert plates, or any play in the arm pivots. Many competitive drivers keep spare sets of arms to minimise downtime if track damage occurs.
  • What tools do I need to replace these rear suspension arms? — Replacement is straightforward and typically requires only basic hex keys and screwdrivers commonly found in any RC tool kit. Associated suspension arms use simple bolt-on connections to the main chassis.
  • Are these suitable for both track racing and bashing? — These arms are engineered for precision track racing but are certainly durable enough for enthusiast bashing as well. If you do a lot of aggressive bashing in rough terrain, the optional HD material variant offers increased durability and robustness.
  • Why should I buy genuine Associated arms instead of aftermarket alternatives? — Genuine parts ensure perfect fitment, maintain your buggy's original suspension geometry and engineering specifications, and carry the quality assurance that comes from the manufacturer who designed your RC8B3.2. Aftermarket parts may vary in dimensions or material properties, potentially affecting handling characteristics.
