Overview
The Team Associated FT Silicone Shock 32.5wt (388 cSt) 4oz/118ml is an essential fluid for any serious RC enthusiast in the UK who demands precision handling and consistent performance from their RC car. Whether you're running a Team Associated RC10 series buggy, a Reflex platform, or any of the compatible RC vehicles, this premium silicone shock fluid delivers the exact viscosity needed for optimal suspension tuning and damping control. Team Associated has earned its reputation as a leader in competitive RC racing, and this shock fluid represents their commitment to providing racers with professional-grade components that make a real difference on the track or at the bash site.
What sets this product apart is Team Associated's decision to super-size their 11 most popular shock fluid bottles. Racers will genuinely appreciate the economical 4oz (118ml) size because Team Associated has doubled the quantity without doubling the price, giving you exceptional value for money. This means you get more fluid for routine shock maintenance, pit-side top-ups during race day, and storage in your pit bag without breaking the bank. For anyone running RC buggies, truggies, or short course trucks in the UK RC racing community, having a reliable supply of the correct shock fluid weight is absolutely critical to maintaining competitive performance.
The 32.5wt specification (388 cSt) sits in the mid-range of shock fluid weights, making it suitable for a variety of driving conditions and suspension setups. Whether you're fine-tuning your Team Associated RC10B6.4, RC10B74.2, RC10T6.4, or any of the other compatible models, this fluid allows you to dial in the exact damping characteristics your car needs. The easy-to-read weight and cSt rating make organisation simple, so you can instantly identify the correct fluid bottle when you're preparing multiple RC cars or experimenting with different suspension setups.
Key Features

Technical Performance
This silicone shock fluid represents the engineering excellence that Team Associated brings to RC racing. The 32.5wt specification translates to 388 centiStokes (cSt), which is the standard measurement of viscosity used throughout the competitive RC racing community. This viscosity range is designed to provide balanced damping performance, offering enough resistance to control rebound and compression movements whilst remaining fluid enough for quick responses to changing track conditions. The silicone formulation ensures consistent performance across temperature ranges, which is particularly important for UK racing conditions where weather can be unpredictable. Whether you're running on tarmac, dirt, carpet, or grass surfaces with your Team Associated RC buggy or truck, this fluid helps maintain the precise suspension characteristics you've tuned into your vehicle. For racers who understand that shock setup is fundamental to speed and control, having the correct fluid weight readily available is non-negotiable. The 118ml bottle provides sufficient quantity for multiple shock rebuilds, bleeding procedures, and seasonal maintenance, eliminating the frustration of running out of the correct weight mid-season.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What viscosity weight should I choose for my RC car's shock fluid? — The choice depends on your vehicle type, driving style, track surface, and suspension geometry. The 32.5wt (388 cSt) is a mid-range option suitable for most applications. Heavier fluids (higher numbers) provide more damping resistance, whilst lighter fluids (lower numbers) allow quicker suspension response. Most Team Associated racers stock multiple weights to tune for different conditions.
- Is this shock fluid suitable for all Team Associated RC cars? — This fluid is compatible with the DR10M, RC10B6.4, RC10B6.4D, RC10B74.2, RC10B74.2D, RC10SC6.4, RC10T6.4, Reflex 14B, and Rival MT8. If you own other Team Associated models, it's worth checking the manual or contacting our expert team at RC Model Shop to confirm compatibility.
- How often should I change my shock fluid? — Shock fluid should be changed or topped up regularly depending on usage. Most competitive racers refresh their shock fluid every few months or after heavy use. The generous 118ml bottle size means you'll have plenty on hand for routine maintenance and pit-side top-ups throughout the racing season.
- What is cSt and why does it matter? — cSt stands for centiStoke, the standard unit of measurement for viscosity (thickness) of fluids. The 388 cSt rating tells you exactly how much resistance this fluid provides, allowing you to match it precisely to your suspension setup. Knowing the cSt rating ensures you're using the correct fluid weight every time.
- Can I mix different shock fluid weights? — It is generally not recommended to mix different shock fluid weights as this will produce unpredictable damping characteristics and inconsistent handling. Keep your shock fluids separated and always use the specific weight your setup requires.
- Why is the 4oz bottle better than smaller sizes? — Team Associated recognised that racers need plenty of shock fluid for maintenance, tuning adjustments, and top-ups during race meetings. By doubling the bottle size without doubling the price, they've provided genuine value and eliminated the frustration of running out mid-season.
- Is silicone shock fluid better than other types? — Silicone-based formulations offer superior consistency, stability, and temperature performance compared to alternative fluids. This makes them the preferred choice for competitive RC racing where predictable damping characteristics are essential for consistent lap times.
