- Enhanced Longevity and Performance — The premium formulation delivers superior differential action consistency over extended use, helping to protect your gearbox components from wear and maintaining predictable handling characteristics throughout the fluid's service life.
- Finer Tuning Capability — With an expanded range of viscosity options now available, you gain more granular control over your vehicle setup, allowing you to achieve performance improvements through differential fluid selection that might previously have required mechanical changes.
Technical Performance
The Associated Silicone Diff Fluid 1,000,000cSt represents the pinnacle of differential lubricant engineering for RC cars in the UK market. The 1,000,000 centistoke (cSt) viscosity rating places this fluid in the higher viscosity range, making it suitable for drivers requiring a more resistant differential action that provides better lock-up and control during high-speed cornering and aggressive driving manoeuvres. The premium silicone compound used throughout ensures that the fluid maintains its viscosity characteristics across varying temperature ranges and extended usage periods, critical for maintaining predictable handling at multi-round events or back-to-back practice sessions. The laboratory testing process guarantees consistent chemistry from batch to batch, eliminating variables that could affect your vehicle's performance. The manufacturing partnership between Team Associated and Lucas Oil Products, Inc. — conducted entirely within the USA — ensures quality control at every stage of production, from raw material selection through to final bottling and quality verification. For RC enthusiasts serious about competitive racing or those who simply refuse to compromise on component care, this fluid delivers the performance consistency required to extract maximum capability from your differential and keep your gearbox running smoothly.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What does the 1,000,000cSt viscosity rating mean for my RC car's differential? — The cSt (centistoke) rating is a measure of fluid viscosity or thickness. A 1,000,000cSt fluid is relatively thick and provides substantial resistance within the differential. This higher viscosity offers more differential lock-up, meaning the wheels are more likely to turn together rather than independently. This setting is ideal for drivers who want better traction control and more predictable handling during cornering, particularly in competitive racing scenarios where differential tuning significantly impacts lap times and vehicle stability.
- Is this silicone diff fluid suitable for beginners in RC racing? — Yes, the Associated Silicone Diff Fluid 1,000,000cSt is suitable for RC drivers of all experience levels. However, beginners should understand that differential fluid selection directly affects vehicle handling characteristics. Starting with a mid-range viscosity and adjusting based on track feedback is often recommended. If you're new to RC racing in the UK, our experienced team at RC Model Shop can help guide you towards the optimal differential setup for your particular vehicle and driving style.
- How often should I change my RC differential fluid? — The source material doesn't specify replacement intervals, but generally speaking, differential fluid should be changed after heavy use or if it becomes contaminated with dirt or debris. Your specific vehicle's manual will provide guidance on maintenance schedules. The laboratory-tested premium formulation of this fluid is designed for longevity, helping to extend service intervals compared to lower-quality alternatives.
- What is the difference between various viscosity ratings available in the Factory Team range? — Different viscosity ratings provide varying levels of differential resistance and lock-up. Higher viscosity fluids (like this 1,000,000cSt option) provide more lock-up and are suitable for drivers seeking stronger traction control, whilst lower viscosities allow more independent wheel rotation for different handling characteristics. The expanded range of Factory Team Silicone Fluids now available enables you to fine-tune your differential performance more precisely than previously possible, making it easier to optimise your setup for specific track conditions or driving preferences.
- Is the new flip-top cap really better than traditional diff fluid bottles? — Yes, the flip-top cap design offers practical advantages during track sessions and routine maintenance. It enables cleaner, faster dispensing compared to traditional pour spouts, reducing accidental spillage and making it easier to refill your differentials quickly during multi-round events or practice sessions. Combined with the viscosity identification sticker on the lid, you can work more efficiently in your pit area or workshop.
- Is this fluid made specifically for Associated RC cars? — This Factory Team Silicone Diff Fluid is developed by Team Associated and manufactured exclusively by Lucas Oil Products, Inc. in the USA. The partnership ensures that the fluid meets all specifications required by Associated vehicles and is optimised for Associated differentials. As such, it is ideally suited for the extensive range of Associated RC cars including buggies, truggies, and short course trucks.
